The crash happened near 14th Avenue and the Box Grove Bypass, south of Highway 407. York Regional Police said they were called to that area just after 8:30 p.m. for a collision involving a vehicle and a scooter. Currently, eastbound 14th is closed at Box Grove Bypass. Southbound Box Grove Bypass at 14th is also off limits, as is Box Grove Bypass at Riverwalk Drive.

Grizzly follows Calgary couple along popular trail in terrifying encounter
A Calgary couple out for a hike on the Troll Falls trail in Kananaskis got the scare of a lifetime after they encountered a grizzly bear. The pair say they tried to scare it away but it followed them, making threatening gestures. Despite their fear, they managed to get the terrifying encounter on tape.

1 person in hospital after being pulled from Lake Ontario in downtown Toronto
A Toronto Police Marine Unit vessel is seen in this August 2011 photo. A male has been taken to the hospital after being rescued from Lake Ontario in downtown Toronto on Sunday evening. The incident happened near Lake Shore Boulevard West and Stadium Road, just west of Bathurst Street. Toronto police said they were called to that area just after 7:30 p.m. for reports of a person in the water. Officers from the Marine Unit along with members of Toronto fire pulled a male from the water, police said.
