iPhone 16 Plus: AED 3799 (Rs 91,000 approximately)

Pros of buying iPhone in Dubai vs India
Cost savings: The obvious advantage is cost savings. The price of iPhones in Dubai is lower than in India for Pro models. The price difference can be significant, potentially saving up to Rs 30,000, depending on the variant you buy. But please note that there is no savings if you plan to buy non-Pro iPhone models, it may be slightly more.
Cons of buying iPhone in Dubai
No cost savings:
If you are buying a non-Pro model, there is absolutely no cost savings. In fact, you may end up paying a little bit more. Reason being, Apple authorised retailers in India offer discounts on non-Pro models, which brings their prices down. Some of the best exchange and card offers are available on non-Pro iPhone models.
Lose out on Bank offers and exchange discounts: Buying from Dubai means you will miss out on Bank offers and exchange discounts. You will not get an exchange discount on any smartphone not bought in the UAE. Retailers in India offer trade-in deals and discounts that can offset the price difference.
iPhones bought online may have different terms and conditions of warranty:
Apple offers international warrant on all its products. However, if the product is not portable, warranty service may be restricted to the country where the device was purchased from. Service options, parts availability and response times will vary according to country. You may be responsible for shipping and handling charges if the product cannot be serviced in the country it is in.
FaceTime restrictions:
UAE policy against video calling may affect FaceTime usage on iPhones bought from Apple Store in Dubai.
Potential import duties:
You may have to pay import duties and taxes on your iPhone when you bring it back to India. One way to avoid it is to get it without packaging, but that again is a trade off.

Notices to 266 for business operations at homes, building code violations in Gurgaon
Gurgaon: For the third consecutive week, the district town planner (enforcement) team carried out the 'office on the spot' drive in Sushant Lok phases 2 and 3. Around 266 notices were pasted on homes violating building norms, zoning laws, and OC rules. Of these, 183 were in phase 3 and 83 in Phase 2. In total, over 650 notices have been issued in the past three weeks. The team led by DTP (enforcement) Amit Madholia conducted a door-to-door survey in Sectors 55, 56, and 57 to identify properties being misused for commercial use. You Can Also Check: Gurgaon AQI | Weather in Gurgaon | Bank Holidays in Gurgaon | Public Holidays in Gurgaon DTPE found that several houses were operating businesses like salons, PGs, clinics, and tuition centres; real estate offices; boutiques; car service centres; and printing shops __ all without necessary permissions. Also, officials found structural violations, including unauthorised construction in zoning areas, rooms in stealth parking zones, covered cut-outs, and additional structures on rooftops. Madholia said many homeowners who received initial notices either did not respond or submitted unsatisfactory replies. "We are now preparing to issue restoration orders against such properties," he said. "These will be followed by sealing actions, cancellation of OCs, and blocking of registry transactions at the tehsil level." by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch CFD với công nghệ và tốc độ tốt hơn IC Markets Đăng ký Undo The department has completed the notice-pasting exercise in all parts of Sushant Lok 2 and 3. Officials have also stated that enforcement will also extend to violations of fire safety regulations, especially in properties hosting paying guests or commercial kitchens. Meanwhile, each property owner has been given a 7-day window to respond. Those failing to do so can expect immediate punitive action, marking a tough stance by the authorities to preserve residential zoning integrity. Ghaziabad hospital told to pay retired railway employee s 17k for claim process delay
Ghaziabad: District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (DCDRC) has directed the Northern Railways chief medical superintendent (CMS) to pay over Rs 17,000 to a retired railway employee — as reimbursement and compensation for claim delay. While payment of Rs 12,398 has been ordered as treatment reimbursement for cataract surgery, that of Rs 5,000 has been directed as the compensation for delaying the payment of the claim. The commission also directed the payment to be made within 45 days of the order, failing which interest calculated at 6% would have to be paid. You Can Also Check: Noida AQI | Weather in Noida | Bank Holidays in Noida | Public Holidays in Noida Passing the order on June 23, the commission, presided over by Praveen Kumar Jain, said railway authorities should have taken necessary steps to initiate payment instead of rejecting the claim on the grounds of incomplete papers "when the claimant is a retired employee of the railways". Devilal Singh, who superannuated from the post of chief medical superintendent (CMS) in 2012, had filed an application before the DCDRC for direction to CMS, Delhi divisional office and assistant chief medical superintendent (ACMS) of Railway Hospital Ghaziabad. The complainant said during retirement, he was provided with a medical card covering him and his family members. He told the commission, "When I felt some problem with my right eye, I consulted the doctors at JP Hospital, Noida, and underwent a surgery on April 10, 2019, for which I paid Rs 35,890. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch CFD với công nghệ và tốc độ tốt hơn IC Markets Đăng ký Undo Once again, I had some issues with my right eye and was advised by doctors at JP Hospital to undergo a cataract surgery, which was conducted on Oct 1, 2019. This time, I paid Rs 30,500 towards the bills raised by the hospital. When I applied for reimbursement of the treatment cost with ACMS (Railway Hospital Ghaziabad) with all relevant documents, it was rejected, which was not just a deficiency in services but also illegal. " The complainant later filed an RTI application and was informed by the railways that his first claim of Rs 35,890 was settled by the railway department by paying Rs 1,786, as was admissible under the policy of Central Govt Health Service (CGHS). The complainant contended that since he was an employee of the railway, his claims could not be dealt with under the CGHS policy and were governed by the railway board. The counsel for the opponents said that railway authorities follow the railway board policy of 2005, effective since Jan 2007, under which beneficiaries can obtain treatment at hospitals recognised by the railways. "The beneficiaries are free to obtain treatment at any hospital of their choice, but in that case, reimbursement is done according to CGHS rates as applicable," the counsel said. He told the commission the second claim was rejected for inadequacy of documents. Get the latest lifestyle updates on Times of India, along with Doctor's Day 2025 , messages and quotes!
