
Practice yoga daily to lead a health life, says Hindupur Collector
He was speaking at the 11th International Yoga Day celebrations held at MGM Grounds in Hindupur of Sri Sathya Sai district on Saturday (June 21). The Collector said that yoga reflected the country's cultural heritage and served as a guide for healthy living.
Superintendent of Police V. Ratna, Joint Collector Abhishek Kumar, and a large number of students, officials, and the public took part in the event.
The district celebrated Yogandhra-2025 from May 21 to June 21 with yoga sessions across Dharamavaram, Kadiri, Penukonda, and Lepakshi.
Later, the Collector and SP presented certificates and mementos to the winners of the yoga competitions.

UP Police win highest medals for India at World Police and Fire Games in US
The sportspersons of Uttar Pradesh Police won highest number of medals for India at the World Police and Fire Games 2025, held in Alabama, US. The event saw participation from thousands of police and fire service personnel from across the world. A total of 63 countries took part in the tournament. India secured the third position in the medal tally with 560 medals across various events. The Uttar Pradesh Police won a total of 95 medals, including 45 gold, 34 silver, and 16 bronze in athletics, wrestling, shooting, weightlifting, and swimming, among others. Director General of Police (DGP) Rajeev Krishna congratulated all the medal winners for bringing immense honour to the department and the state.
