Bandi takes dig at BC declaration, calls it ‘Muslim Declaration'

Speaking to the media after inaugurating a hospital in Karimnagar, the minister stated, "Congress is giving a false impression to BCs. They are only offering an additional 5% reservations. BCs already have 27% reservations, and if the 10% reservations for Muslims are removed, then BCs would only receive 5% extra as part of the 42% reservations." He emphasized that what was being presented was not BC reservation, but rather reservation allocated to Muslims.
Bandi Sanjay vowed to block the BC reservation bill, accusing Rahul Gandhi of mocking Hindus and asserting that he was threatening Hinduism. "We don't have a problem with the BC reservation bill if they exclue Muslims in it, otherwise we will stop this. If we don't stop this here, it will become a template across India," he stated.
He also mentioned that Hindu organisations across Telangana were expressing anguish over demolition of the Banjara Hills Peddamma Temple. He questioned whether the govt was trying to appease a community that constitutes 30% in Jubilee Hills for the sake of by-election votes. Bandi Sanjay pointed out that many temples, mosques, and churches were located on roads in Hyderabad and Telangana, questioning the necessity of demolishing the Banjara Hills temple.
He demanded the immediate suspension of the officials responsible for the demolition of the temple.

SP MP demands rollback of school merger
Lucknow: Samajwadi Party MP from Machhlishahr Priya Saroj has written to the Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan demanding review of the policy of 'integration of schools' in Uttar Pradesh and cancellation of the merger process. In her letter, Saroj said that the policy of integration of schools was being followed in Uttar Pradesh, which seems to be against the basic spirit of the Right to Education Act (RTE Act). "Under RTE Act, there is a provision that every child between the age of 6 to 14 years should be provided free and compulsory education within one kilometre of the nearest primary school from residence. If no school is available within a radius of one kilometre, then it is the responsibility of the govt to ensure admission of the child in the nearest school," she said. Jobs of 2.5 lakh teachers and school staff of UP are also at risk," she said.

Swami Abhishek called Swami Karpatri the "true son of Sanatan Dharm and the country", lauding his contribution to religion and society. ‘Cleric' booked for derogatory remarks against Dimple Yadav
Lucknow: Lucknow police late on Sunday registered an FIR against orthodox Islamic cleric Maulana Sajid Rashidi for allegedly making objectionable, inflammatory, and misogynistic comments against senior Samajwadi Party leader and Lok Sabha MP Dimple Yadav during his appearance on a television channel and public platforms. The complaint was lodged on Saturday by one Pravesh Yadav, a resident of Gomtinagar's Vikalp Khand. In his written complaint, Yadav alleged that Maulana Sajid made derogatory and indecent remarks on media forums that not only hurt the personal dignity of a woman but also appeared to be aimed at inciting religious and communal disharmony in society. DCP (East Zone) Shashank Singh said that an FIR against Maulana Sajid was registered under the sections of 79 (outraging modesty of women), 196 (promoting enmity between groups), 299 (outrage religious sentiments), 352 (intentional insult) of the BNS and section 67 of the Information Technology Act at Vibhutikhand police station. "Further investigation into the matter is underway," said the DCP (East). The radical cleric has been known for making controversial statements. Soon after Delhi assembly polls in Feb, the cleric had claimed in a video to have voted for BJP. Amit Malviya had then shared the video in a post on X, saying, "Sajid Rashidi of All India Imam Association says he voted for the BJP in the Delhi Assembly election. This is not an isolated instance, and the so called 'secular' parties should be worried if Muslims also start supporting the BJP in a big way."
