Islam Chesnokov sees Hearts transfer hijack plot emerge as Russians have secret ploy to force Tynecastle U turn

Krylia Sovetov boss Magomed Adiev was coy over an attempt to snatch the man he gave an international debut to from the Jambos
Krylia Sovetov are plotting to hijack Hearts ' move for Islam Chesnokov despite him already having agreed a switch to Tynecastle
The Kazakhstan international has penned a pre-contract with the capital club but protracted negotiations to bring him to Edinburgh before his FC Tobol deal runs out in October are ongoing.

However, ambitious top flight club Krylia Sovetov still believe they can convince Chesnokov to ditch the Jambos and sign from them instead, according to reports in Russia.

The fact they are managed by Magomed Adiev - the former Kazakhstan boss who handed Chesnokov his international debut two years ago - is giving them hope that the winger will go back on his word to Hearts and rejoin his old manager.
Adiev said: "Chesnokov is an interesting footballer for many teams, including us. Let's see what happens with him."
The 25-year-old was advised by former Rangers star Andrei Kanchelskis to sign for Hearts and use it as a stepping stone for a move to English football or even Celtic.
And new Hearts boss Derek McInnes admitted Chesnokov's arrival was out of his hands.
He explained: "He's obviously signed the pre-contract. But their season runs on, so we're not fully in charge of that situation. "His team don't want to lose him at this stage of the season because they'll be at the business end of theirs.
"We have a plan to deal with it, if we get him great, if we don't, we will maybe just look to bring him in in January instead. We are trying to be as patient as we can, but ideally, we'd get him in this window.'

Emma Raducanu points finger at Wimbledon chiefs with major complaint- 'So wrong'

Emma Raducanu spoke to the media at Wimbledon after her third-round defeat to Aryna Sabalenka and wasn't happy about one facet of here loss to the world No.1 - nor her victories in the previous rounds either Emma Raducanu left Wimbledon taking aim at SW19 chiefs over their decision to replace line judges and install the Electronic Line Calling system. The ELC has been brought in at SW19 for the first time this year. But Raducanu is not a fan and made her feelings very clear on the subject after her third round defeat to Aryna Sabalenka on Friday night. ‌ Raducanu insisted the ELC had been "very wrong" numerous times on her run to the third round, adding her voice to the likes of Jack Draper and Carlos Alcaraz - both of whom have also been very sceptical about the system's reliability. ‌ Raducanu queried a line call with the chair umpire midway through the first set of her clash with Sabalenka before succumbing to a 7-6 6-4 defeat against the world No.1. And that isn't the only decision the Brit felt was incorrectly given against her this week. "Yeah, I mean, that call [against Sabalenka] was, like, for sure out," Raducanu said in her post-match press conference. "It's kind of disappointing, the tournament here, that the calls can be so wrong. "For the most part they've been okay. It's just, like, I've had a few in my other matches, too, that have been very wrong. So yeah, I don't know. "Hopefully they can kind of fix that." Draper had felt that the system caused issues during his loss to Marin Cilic. The British men's No.1 said: "I don't think it's 100 per cent accurate, in all honesty. A couple of the ones today, it showed a mark on the court. There's no way the chalk would have showed. During his third round win over Jan-Lennard Struff, world No.2 Alcaraz told the umpire: "I'm not sure about it. I would have asked for a challenge. It's not the first time I've seen the machine… it's not the first time. I'm not sure about some calls." ‌ On Friday, Wimbledon tournament director Jamie Baker spoke out in defence of the system. "The concept of live line calling is absolutely standard across the tour now," he said. "Two of the other grand slams have had it for four or five years. "The accuracy and the reliability and the robustness of the system and the process as a whole, in terms of officiating, is in as good a place as it has been for tennis." Gers gaffer Martin said: 'We are working hard to make sure we get the right ones. The ones already in we are so pleased about, and the ones we think will come in in the next week or two we'll be so pleased with them. 'We still need some help but we are all aware of that. 'We can't be in a rush and just sign the ones we're not too sure about. We have to go after the ones we really want. 'We have to look at character first. Can you come here and add to us as a group in terms of your behaviour, the way you train, the way you work, who you are as a human being? 'Playing for this club won't be for everyone, so character first then talent after. We want to get both. 'We're at a disadvantage because we have these early European qualifiers. Kevin Thelwell is calling guys who are still on the beach. 'We are waiting for things to happen, so it's not a lack of willingness. Everyone's working hard. 'The ones we have brought in so far, great. But there will be more.' Leicester defender Conor Coady could be among the new arrivals with talks ongoing. New Rangers chiefs Andrew Cavenagh and Paraag Marathe's first interview And Martin is delighted with Gers' business so far. He said: 'Manny and Joe had their first session yesterday. They were tired afterwards because it had been a big day for them. 'Joe will fit in great because he's a top player and a top person. He was an important one for us and I was really pleased we got him in. 'We've so many exciting young players that we need a bit of help on the pitch from senior players who have been there and lived the moments. He knows what it takes to win, so he'll bring that. 'Also, people need to be desperate to play for this club. If people are considering other options it's on to the next one. 'Joe was desperate to come here. Same with Manny. I spoke to my old manager at Peterborough, Darren Ferguson, and I really believe Manny can be what he wants to be.' Rothwell admitted he knocked back a move to La Liga because he couldn't turn down Gers for the second time. The midfielder, who has signed a three-year deal, revealed he came close to joining Rangers back in 2022. The 30-year-old said: 'I had the opportunity to come here just before I signed for Bournemouth. It was a toss up between the two. 'I decided to go there at the time but thankfully the offer came again and I jumped straight at it. 'This time there was interest from elsewhere, but as soon as I knew Rangers came calling, I wanted to go back to that big club mentality. 'They fitted the bill for me and with the manager coming here, it was a no-brainer.' 4 Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page
