Indore, Jul 28 (PTI) Illegal encroachment in a government-controlled temple's land, worth more than Rs 150 crore, was removed on Monday in Indore, an official said.
The encroachment occupied approximately 1.28 lakh square feet of land of the Shri Ram and Khedaapati temple in Pipaliya Kumar area.
Officials said the action involved the demolition of illegal constructions and the removal of illegally sown crops with the help of the municipal corporation.
According to officials, the temple land was sold by the land mafia through fake and illegal sale deeds.

'The couple feels that they have been deceived. They do not want the child since he is not biologically theirs,' said a senior official from the Telangana health, family and welfare dept. He added: 'Moreover, the facial features of the child are distinctly different from them as the child was born to a couple from another region.' Repeated attempts to reach the complainants for a comment failed. Officials at Sishu Vihar, meanwhile, said that the child will remain there until the police inquiry is completed. This is keeping with the Central Adoption Resource Authority guidelines, which govern the process of adoption in India. 'Once the inquiry is done, the CWC will issue public notification asking biological parents or relatives to come forward to claim the child. This will be in force for two months,' said an official from the adoption cell of the WCD. They will also have to produce valid documents and meet eligibility criteria, such as a stable home environment, to establish their claim. 'But if no one comes forward during this period, the child will be declared legally free for adoption under the Juvenile Justice Act. Marathi-Speaking Man Threatened, Abused In Mumbai's Goregaon; MNS Workers Protest
Last Updated: A Bajaj Finance employee in Mumbai allegedly abused a Marathi customer and insulted MNS chief Raj Thackeray. In response, MNS workers staged a protest at the office. Chaos ensued in Mumbai's Goregaon area after an employee of Bajaj Finance allegedly abused and threatened a Marathi-speaking customer at the office, despite the customer having repaid his loan. Later, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena's (MNS) Goregaon assembly chief Virendra Jadhav and his supporters gathered at the Bajaj Finance office and protested the incident. They also vandalised the office, and as the clash escalated, the employees of Bajaj Finance allegedly used foul language against MNS chief Raj Thackeray. This led to further outrage among MNS workers and office bearers, who disrupted the company's operations. A video from the spot showed protests at the office. There was no information of any police action in the incident yet. Later, Virendra Jadhav stated that the MNS will continue its protest until an action is taken against those who abused the Marathi customer and Raj Thackeray.
