ITV This Morning viewers slam Alison Hammond over 'crass' comment to JoJo Siwa
Alison Hammond faced backlash from This Morning viewers following a comment she made to JoJo Siwa during Monday's show.
The episode saw Alison co-hosting with Paddy McGuiness as they cut to Chris Hughes, who was reporting live from Bexhill.
Chris was there to speak with 90-year-old Barby Keel, the owner of an animal sanctuary.
The conversation took a turn when Chris's Celebrity Big Brother co-star JoJo Siwa, who had just appeared on Lorraine's ITV show, was brought into the discussion.
Alison exclaimed: "Listen, Chris, before you go, we've got someone who wanted to say a quick hello to you! Have a look at this."
JoJo then popped up on screen, saying: "Hey Christopher!" As Chris and JoJo chatted, Chris mentioned that she would be visiting the Cotswolds with him the following week to meet his family, while also helping Barby with some tasks.
Paddy jumped in, playfully teasing Chris about his remark that JoJo gives him energy in the mornings, reports Wales Online.
Paddy joked: "Can I just ask, how do you know JoJo gives you energy in the Morning? What's going on here? Hello! Hashtag awkward."
Alison erupted into laughter at Paddy's lighthearted jab at Chris before turning her attention to JoJo and saying: "Honestly, I'm so invested in you and Chris."
Alison posed the question everyone was eager to have answered, she remarked: "I don't care what anyone says, I want to know. I'm so invested! I love this little relationship; it's beautiful, but just for the record, what is your relationship status with Chris right now?"
JoJo hesitated slightly before replying: "Erm, I will say he is up there as one of my favourite people in the entire world -" However, her response was swiftly intercepted by Alison, who cheekily added: "With benefits."
The candid remark sparked a strong reaction among viewers, with many expressing discomfort at Alison's forthrightness.
One viewer pleaded: "Please stop this JoJo and Chris segment on #ThisMorning." Others echoed the sentiment, with one commenting: "I love a laugh n all that, but that was a crass comment by Alison re JoJo and Chris' relationship."
Another chimed in, saying: "Leave Jojo alone. Alison that was uncalled for." The discussion clearly didn't resonate with all viewers, as one wrote: "I find this whole thing with JoJo and Chris nauseating. @ITV and @thismorning just need to drop it. It's not cute it's embarrassing. #thismorning."

JoJo chose not to address Alison's comment, instead focusing on the positive impact Chris had on her life, revealing he made her happier than she'd ever been.

Davina McCall ‘not afraid of dying' after brain tumour removed
In April, the 57-year-old confirmed her 'final MRI' had showed a colloid cyst, which she had removed in November 2024, is 'not coming back', after it was found when she was offered a health check-up as part of her menopause advocacy work. McCall told Fearne Cotton's Happy Place podcast: 'I am not afraid of dying anymore and it was the biggest journey of my life. McCall, who is a judge on ITV singing show The Masked Singer, said her only concern about death is how her family would cope. Speaking about the time her tumour was found, she added: 'I thought I need to get my brain in the right place and that was to a place where I could be calm, and what did I need to do to do that? Were my kids going to be okay if I didn't make it? That's all I really cared about. 'I knew Michael (Douglas, her partner), Michael's a whole person, Michael's Michael, but I was really worried about my kids. 'I went forensic on thinking about my children and where they were at in their life, what stage they were at. You're only as happy as your unhappiest child, right? 'I came to a realisation after about six months of cross-examining them about their life and telling them the whole time how much I've loved my life. My eldest daughter kept caught on. She was like, 'you are not dying', I was like, 'no, no, no', I realised that they would be great. 'They'd miss me and I want to be with them but they would be okay. I felt like I could go to sleep on the operating table and know that they were all here to help me, but I can let go of the outcome and it was the best gift. I am not afraid of dying.' After her surgery, McCall spent time in intensive care before recovering at home with the help of Douglas. She spoke about the removal of the tumour while co-presenting this year's Red Nose Day for Comic Relief and said it was 'the hardest thing I've ever been through'. According to the NHS, non-cancerous brain tumours are more common in people over the age of 50, and symptoms include headaches, vision problems and drowsiness, and some can be 'difficult to remove without damaging surrounding tissue'. McCall, the host of reality dating show My Mum, Your Dad, has long advocated for women's health issues, and has presented a documentary called Sex, Myths And The Menopause and another on contraception called Davina McCall's Pill Revolution. She became an MBE in the King's birthday honours for services to broadcasting in 2023 and was given a special recognition gong at the National Television Awards in 2024 for her broadcasting career. Loose Women set for major cast shake-up as ITV plan to replace the entire panel for one week only
Loose Women fans are in for a treat this week as the show is set for a one-off 'Loose Doctors' special. The hit ITV daytime show will change up their panel this Wednesday with a different array of faces, including Dr Amir Khan, Dr Zoe Williams, Dr Hilary Jones and Dr Nighat Arif. The medics will examine the health issues that matter most to viewers, as well as explaining how we can all improve our own wellbeing. The special follows on from other one-off versions of the programme including Loose Men panels on International Men's Day. Excited about the new prospect, Dr Amir said to The Mirror: 'This is the first time four of ITV's Daytime doctors will be on the panel together to look at the health issues that affect us all. 'We'll be sharing our expert medical advice and having some very candid conversations about the things that our patients are often too embarrassed to talk about, but shouldn't be, and hopefully giving them the confidence to make the most of their appointments. 'I'm really looking forward to the episode and hope that viewers will enjoy it, as well as learning some important and potentially life saving tips too.' Meanwhile, Dr Hilary, who works closely with Lorraine Kelly on screen, said: 'I think viewers are going to love the first-ever Loose Doctors episode. 'You'll see four of ITV's Daytime doctors open up about their personal journeys whilst offering some of our tips to look after you and your family. According to insiders, once ITV's budget cuts come into effect in January, Loose Women will no longer have A-list guests in the studio, and the broadcast is planned to only consist of the panel debating newsworthy topics from the week. Speaking at National Reality TV Awards in London, Linda said: 'We are all rallying together. It will be very sad if we can't have guests. 'It's a shame people are losing their jobs. We're all like a family. We've been together through births, marriages, deaths. It's been very hard. Everyone's worried about the show. 'We're just trying to stay positive and hope for the best. But hopefully it's not going be as bad as it already is,' The Mirror reports. Recently Loose lady Janet Street-Porter revealed which stars are at risk from brutal cost-saving cuts by ITV - and which panelists are safe. The 78-year-old has shed light on the reality behind the looming cuts proposed by the broadcaster, which are set to impact several daytime shows. Janet appears certain that the 'older' Loose Women stars are not likely to be cut, given they appeal more directly to the show's target demographic. But she warns that newcomers, younger stars or those with less experience could be at risk. 'There are no plans to get rid of the older women despite what some people have said,' Janet said.
