She was playing for her charity and was given 60 seconds to get as many of the puzzles correct as she could.
The final catchphrase is split into five sections with each of them holding a certain amount of cash which increases upon each level.
Having made her way to the fourth stage, performer Samantha had managed to bag herself £10,000 already and with less than 20 seconds on the clock, she was hoping to claw £25,000 by answering another puzzle.
But for Samantha it proved tricky as she was left scrambling to come up with an answer.
In the puzzle that stumped her, three characters could be seen with their backs against a brick wall and a shadow of their silhouette being clearly visible on the wall.
But for the third character, he could be seen moving his own shadow around on a fishing rod.
Samantha was expected to use this as a clue to get to her final answer.
Staring at the puzzle, a perplexed Samantha shouted: "Fishing shadow!
"Shadow fishing, shadow catching, shadow line?
"Throwing your shadow?"

Although there was only two seconds left on the clock, Samantha opted to pass but ultimately she missed out on getting the £25k she was able to play for.
With the round having drawn to a close, Stephen then went on to reveal the correct answer to the puzzle.
He told Samantha: "I thought you were gonna get this one - it's casting a shadow!"
Samantha then let out a wail as she remarked: "Oh that's a good one!"
Hardest Quiz Show Questions
Would you know the answers to some of quizzing TV's hardest questions Who Wants To Be A Millionaire - Earlier this year, fans were left outraged after what they described as the "worst" question in the show's history. Host Jeremy Clarkson asked: 'From the 2000 awards ceremony onwards, the Best Actress Oscar has never been won by a woman whose surname begins with which one of these letters?' The multiple choice answers were between G, K, M and W. In the end, and with the £32,000 safe, player Glen had to make a guess and went for G. It turned out to be correct as Nicole Kidman, Frances McDormand and Kate Winslet are among the stars who have won the Best Actress gong since 2000.

The 1% Club - Viewers of Lee Mack's popular ITV show were left dumbfounded by a question that also left the players perplexed. The query went as follows: "Edna's birthday is on the 6th of April and Jen's birthday falls on the 15th of October, therefore Amir's birthday must be the 'X' of January." It turns out the conundrum links the numbers with its position in the sentence, so 6th is the sixth word and 15th is the fifteenth word. Therefore, Amir's birthday is January 24th, corresponding to the 24th word in the sentence.

The Chase - The ITV daytime favourite left fans scratching their heads when it threw up one of the most bizarre questions to ever grace the programme. One of the questions asked the player: "Someone with a nightshade intolerance should avoid eating what?" The options were - sweetcorn, potatoes, carrots - with Steve selecting sweetcorn but the correct answer was potatoes.

ITV The Chase fans call for show to make major change after rival show axed

Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info The Chase fans have voiced their concerns on social media after the Spanish version of the beloved quiz show faced cancellation earlier this year, raising fears for the UK version. Launched in 2009 with Bradley Walsh at the helm, The Chase has been a popular staple of the mid-evening schedule for over a decade and a half. Following the axing of the Spanish equivalent, El Cazador, which ended its run in April 2025 due to declining viewer numbers, devotees are proposing that the British series could benefit from an overhaul in certain areas. One Reddit user suggested: "The show isn't as fresh as it used to be and could do with them trying out new things to freshen up the formula." However, a die-hard fan countered: "I disagree. The format is good as is. Spain tried changing the format last year and now the show is being cancelled. (Image: ITV) "Australia also changed some things this year which I believe made the show worse and more complicated than it needs to be." The suggestion from viewers to revive interest include a revamp of the final chase round. One commentator argued that the current buzzer system hampers contestants, mentioning: "The guests having to press their buzzers and wait for their name, when the Chaser does not. That's like a solid 10-15 seconds bonus", reports the Express. One fan recently shared their perspective on taking part, commenting: "I fully agree - I still want to go on and give it a go. That's why winning money isn't the satisfying part, it's more about winning against some of the best at [memorising] facts." (Image: Getty) Another viewer suggested a format change to exclude asking teammates for advice on deal offers, saying: "The 'ask your team mates' part is laughably pointless. "For one, it has no influence on what the person is going to choose. Secondly, they all say the exact same thing. 'You could definitely do the higher offer, but stick with the middle and come home.'". Despite these criticisms, the hit quiz show remains a firm favourite among UK audiences. The most recent series, broadcast from January to March, boasted an impressive 3 million viewers, securing a 29.7% share of the audience and ranking as ITV1's third most popular game show of 2024 and leading the pack for shows not in primetime. Over in Australia, The Chase continues its reign, holding firm as Seven Network's top game show every week throughout 2024, marking a successful continuation of a five-year run at number one. Coronation Street fans want awkward relationship to stop

Some have said Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) and Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) should 'pack it in' on the ITV soap, as they described their new relationship as 'forced and awkward'. Kit and Sarah became an item a few months ago after his connection with Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) no longer had sparks flying, and Sarah's marriage to Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) came to an end following her affair with Damon Hay (Ciarán Griffiths). In a post discussing Kit and Sarah's chemistry, someone wrote on the subreddit r/coronationstreet: 'Anyone else think how forced and awkward this entire relationship is? 'They have zero chemistry and when they do interact it's like watching paint dry. They need to pack it in.' This viewer replied: 'I commented when he first arrived that they would end up together. It was when she planted evidence about something. Should they be together? No. Put her back with Adam. But it won't happen.' Another said: 'It feels a bit weird that she's pursing a relationship after he nearly wrecked her brothers marriage.' One person shared: 'Pretty much all of Sarah's relationships now are forced and awkward. The writers have a thing of getting her together with bad boys and having it make no sense too.' A Reddit profile also responded: 'I agree with you kit and Sara doesn't have chemistry they are so blah together don't know why they paired them up for anyway.' Meanwhile, others think Sarah still has 'amazing chemistry' with Gary Windass (Mikey North) and hope they end up together again. As this fan revealed: 'I've said it before and I'll say it again…Sarah and Gary are Endgame. They had insane chemistry.' Another agreed: 'To me Sarah still has amazing chemistry with Gary and they should have those two have ab [an] affair and eventually get back together.' Jeremy Clarkson left fuming and slams the ‘fun police' as his very pricey new advert is BANNED from TV and radio

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) JEREMY Clarkson has slammed the 'fun police' after his big-budget beer advert was BANNED from TV and radio. Keen to spread the word about Diddly Squat Farm's Hawkstone Lager, Sun columnist Jeremy hired a 34-strong choir of real British farmers to sing their own version of a classic opera tune. Sign up for the Entertainment newsletter Sign up 3 Jeremy Clarkson with his Diddly Squat right-hand man Kaleb Cooper 3 British farmers sing in a choir, with Jeremy Clarkson pictured centre sipping a beer Hilariously, the farmers switched up the words to sing: "F*** me it's good". It then ends with Jeremy, 55, taking a sip of his pint while standing in the middle of the choir and says directly to the camera: "Hawkstone. It is f***ing good." The advert, which Clarkson describes as 'the best thing I've ever made, apart from a shepherd's pie in 1988,' was intended to be a powerful celebration of British farming, the backbone of his best-selling lager and cider brand, Hawkstone. And yet, it may never be seen - because it's "not compliant" with broadcasting regulations. 'It's a cock-up, as usual,' said Clarkson from his Diddly Squat Farm. 'I've made my biggest, most heartfelt, and frankly, most expensive advert ever, and it's been banned. "The fun police in their beige offices have decided that the public can't be trusted to watch it. "It's been kicked off the telly, silenced on the radio, and barred from the cinema. "Apparently, it's 'not compliant'. With what, I have no idea. Common sense?' Frustrated by the blockade, Clarkson is now turning to the British press. 'If the regulators won't let the people see it, then perhaps the newspapers will. "I'm asking every editor in the country: will you publish my banned ad?' Who Wants to Be A Millionaire host Jeremy launched Hawkstone in 2021, offering a range of premium British lagers, ciders and vodka. The beer was originally made from the barley grown at Diddly Squat Farm. It has since become the fastest growing beer brand in the UK - and the most followed beer in the world on Instagram.
