The ‘It Girl' model who's finally tamed Taylor Swift's bad boy ex Matty Healy…as pair snipe at each other on rival songs

AFTER years of attempts, The 1975 will finally make their Glastonbury debut on the Pyramid stage tonight.
And rooting from the sidelines for lead singer Matty Healy, 36, will be his glamorous wife-to-be Gabbriette Bechtel, along with his famous parents Tim Healy and Denise Welch.

Matty and model Gabbriette, 27, started dating back in September 2023 and got engaged after just nine months, with the singer popping the question with a custom black diamond ring.
It certainly matches her goth-light style, with Gabbriette previously telling Vogue her fashion inspiration ranges from 50s pin-up icons to dominatrixes.
Speaking about her fiance, she previously told HommeGirls: 'He came to L.A., and we've been in love ever since.'
Born to a Mexican mum and German dad, "it-girl" Gabriette began modelling in her late teens and has starred in campaigns for Marc Jacobs, Nike and Savage X Fenty.
But she also has a keen interest in the music industry, having been lead singer of punk girl band Nasty Cherry - which hasn't released music since 2021.
She was hand-selected by Charli XCX - who is engaged to Matty's The 1975 bandmate, drummer George Daniel - and references the model in her track 360 on the album Brat, with the lyric: "Call me Gabbriette, you're so inspired."
Their relationship came hot on the heels of Matty's widely publicised romance with Taylor Swift, 35 - despite him previously declaring in a 2016 interview that he would find it too "de-masculinating" to be her boyfriend.
The couple had previously been linked in 2013 before rekindling their romance a decade later - though it only lasted a few months, with a source telling People they were "just having fun" and "it was always casual".
Their romance sparked controversy among devoted Taylor fans due to Matty's past battles with heroin and his reputation for courting controversy with his wild on-stage antics.
The band was slapped with a £1.9million fine after Matty snogged his bandmate Ross MacDonald on stage in Kuala Lumpur in July 2023 after attacking Malaysia's anti-LGBT laws in an expletive-fuelled rant.
Matty also provoked outrage when, while appearing on the Adam Friedland Show in 2023, he laughed when hosts Nick Mullen and Adam referred to rapper Ice Spice - with whom Taylor had collaborated - as an 'Inuit Spice Girl,' and 'chubby Chinese lady.'
Several Swifties accused The 1975 frontman for using Taylor as a way to raise his profile - and Matty himself admitted in an interview that he became significantly more famous in 2023.
He said: 'Last year, I became a way more well-known public figure for loads of different reasons. The only reason that I was interested in is kind of, like, what I was doing?'
According to an insider, Matty is now personally "much more settled than he's ever been", with Gabbriette helping to "keep him more grounded".

The couple apparently love playing Fortnite in bed and she loves to cook for him, with them having bonded over their shared love of food.
The insider told The Sun: "The band are in a great place, meaning he can finally devote time to his personal life.
'Like most musicians, Matty has played the field, but Gabbriette is who is wants to settle down with.
'Gabbriette has been able to tame his fire and help keep him more grounded. He absolutely loves that she is at the top of her game and independent.

'She's incredibly busy in her own career, and it means the time they spend together is quality time."
And she's even won the approval of Matty's mum, with whom they spent Christmas last year.
Denise, 67, said on Loose Women: 'He's got engaged to Gabriella Bechtel - Gabbriette, she's known as. Black diamond; he had it made for her.
"I couldn't be more thrilled. We couldn't be happier... she is everything that I would want in a daughter-in-law, and so I'm thrilled.'
Gabbriette - who was previously linked to Bob Dylan's model grandson Levi - has made it clear she isn't fazed by catty comments left by Matty's fans on her Instagram page.
She claimed: "I don't give a s***. I think it's hilarious. Go for it. Have fun. People have a lot to say, you don't know me at all."
Track record

Matty doesn't have the best track record when it comes to relationships, and himself admitted he's "not very good at them".
The rocker dated Halsey, 30, back in 2015 but things ended on a sour note with the America singer insulting his mum on her record Colours.
She wrote: 'Your little brother never tells you but he loves you so / You said your mother only smiled on her TV show.'
Speaking about their relationship a year after it ended, she said: "We're both attracted to characters, and we saw that in each other. I spent a lot of time watching him and he spent a lot of time loving being watched.
"But if you think he's the first red-wine-drinking, pretty-boy rocker in skinny jeans I've been associated with, you're out of your f***ing mind.'
He was subsequently linked to FKA Twiggs, but the pair split in 2022 after reportedly dating for three years without ever confirming their relationship publicly.
Matty is also rumoured to have dated models Gabriella Brooks and Charlotte D'Alessio, but neither lasted that long.

Even before they hooked up, Matty's fame was bolstered by Taylor wearing The 1975 merchandise and going to one of his concerts back in 2013.
The gig visit has been said to have led to the pair exchanging numbers, and they were briefly said to be romantically liked.
But at the time Matty didn't have many positive things to say about the idea.
In a 2016 interview, when Taylor was dating Calvin Harris, Matty told Q magazine: 'I feel like I'm not very good at relationships.
"And the reason I mention that is because if I had [properly] gone out with Taylor Swift, I would've been, 'F***ing hell, I am not being Taylor Swift's boyfriend.'
"You know, 'F***. That.' That's also a man thing, a de-masculinating, emasculating thing.'
He later clarified his comments after people claimed they were misogynistic for feeling threatened by her stardom.
"Since she came to my show in December of 2014, I would say that 90 per cent of journalists that have interviewed me have asked about either her as a person or what our 'interaction' was like," he wrote in an open letter, according to Elle.
"I have said on countless occasions that I found her to be one of the most gracious, hard working, creatively gifted, and beautiful women that I have had the pleasure to meet.
"I personally have a lot of respect and admiration for her. Why would I not?"
'Tribute' to Taylor
14
Many of Taylor's exes have ended up being referenced in her songs - and Matty it seems is no exception.
When her latest album Tortured Poets Department released it hinted she'd been in love with the controversial frontman - but also couldn't resist a jibe.
Fans reckoned they spotted multiple references to Matty, including 'I'm runnin' back home to you' from Fresh Out The Slammer, which they took to be a reference to her history with the Chocolate singer.
They claimed there was another cryptic reference in I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can) with the line: 'The jokes that he told across the bar / Were revolting and far too loud.'
Taylor, who is now dating NFL player Travis Kelce, does appear to take aim at him with her track The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived, with the lyrics: "You are what you did / And I'll forget you but I'll never forgive / The smallest man who ever lived."
Arguably Matty has taken a leaf out of his ex's book when it comes to channelling his relationship angst into his music.
Last week The Sun revealed that he will reference his romance with Taylor in a track on The 1975's upcoming album.
Among the lyrics is the line: 'Keep your head up Princess, your tiara is falling."
A music insider said: 'Everyone at the studio thought this was about Matty's fling with Taylor and their fleeting romance.
'Matty will never publicly comment on his relationships, but he lets his deepest feelings out in his songs and gets everything off his chest.
'Fans will want to listen to the lyrics very carefully.'
Glasto 'special guest'
The insider told The Sun playing Glastonbury is "a huge deal" for the band and "something they've wanted to make happen for years".
'It's even more special for Matty because he will have his fiancée Gabbriette and his parents stage side rooting for him," they added.
'He's always been career-focused and getting the headline spot on a Friday really shows how important The 1975 has become. It's a culmination of decades of hard work.'
And in a bit to make it extra special, The Sun understands Matty plans to bring his actor dad Tim out for a song.
"Tim has come out before at Matty's gigs and it's always a crowd pleaser," a source said.
"They'll be doing a slow song together as part of the set list."
Matty's team has been contacted for comment.

Sister's mix tape left Elbow's Guy Garvey in tears

"It all started off with stuff I'd heard that he hadn't that I knew he was going to love."The sister of Elbow frontman Guy Garvey has told how his love of music was inspired by mix tapes she made for him, beginning in the Garvey, who is now a BBC 6 music producer, said he was even left in tears by one she made, which included an orchestral version of Joni Mitchell's A Case of heard it over lunch in the Granada TV canteen in Manchester in the late 1990s, where she worked at the time, just before Elbow got signed. She said she had been excited to see his reaction to the opening song and when she saw him cry she was thinking "result" whereas he was "looking around thinking... people from Coronation Street are over there watching me blubbing". Beckie was speaking about the influence her mix tapes had on her brother as the BBC launches Mix Tape, a drama looking at two teenagers bonding over their love of music in the said she made the mix tapes for Guy - from Bury, Greater Manchester - to introduce him to different music and she would set aside a day to do this."It was a labour of love," she said. "It was partly to impress him but it was mostly to educate him and share something because that sharing of music is such an emotional thing." Beckie said she started making mix tapes in the late 1970s and started making them for Guy in the mid 1980s, with her last cassette produced about 2000, when the minidisc arrived. But even now she makes compilation CDs for her nephew. Music had always been a big part of the Garvey family's life, she said, and she used to make mix tapes for all her said she would "put all sorts on there - Joan Armatrading, Chet Baker, Ella Fitzgerald, Genesis". Home-made mix tapes recorded on blank cassettes were a way of putting a play list together long before the advent of online play lists."Making an online playlist is very quick and you can mess about with the order and things like that, whereas when you're doing a mix tape most of it is in the planning and you really put time, thought and effort into it," she said she would sometimes add speech to the mix, something which could not be done via online recounted one occasion where she added a clip of the "beautiful soporific voice" of actor Anthony Hopkins reciting the WB Yeats poem, He Wishes for the Cloths of Heaven to a mix tape for from the 1987 film, 84 Charing Cross Road, Beckie said this was the perfect complement to some "beautiful music" and she "put it on the beginning of a tape to help him sleep".Beckie said "Guy was a listener like me" and she knew he would succeed as soon as he started making Garvey is a three-time Ivor Novello song-writing award winner. Thrill-seeker to attempt to ride 120 rollercoasters in UK in just over two weeks

A thrill-seeking man is to begin an attempt to ride every rollercoaster in the UK in little over two weeks. Dean Stokes, 36, believes he will become the first person to achieve the feat if he can succeed in riding 120 coasters across 32 theme parks in 16 days, starting in Brighton and ending at Thorpe Park. Mr Stokes worked for five years at Google before leaving the corporate ladder to set up his own business delivering technology training, having grown tired of being unable to try new things. The former UK head of Google for Education decided to set up his own YouTube channel as part of his new work and has already seen his videos about his planned adventure viewed hundreds of thousands of times across social media platforms. Mr Stokes, from Brighton, in East Sussex, told his former Google colleague Simon Fasolo, 44, about his plan to travel the UK in pursuit of the aim. And Mr Fasolo, from Perth, Australia, decided it would be a great way to explore the country – despite hating rollercoasters himself and refusing to join his friend on the rides. The two will begin at Brighton Palace Pier, home to the Crazy Mouse and Turbo rollercoasters, and, according to the route map on the website, hope to have conquered four parks and eight rides in total by the end of the first day. Mr Stokes said: 'I've ridden over 100 rollercoasters in around 25 different theme parks across 10 different countries. 'But I still haven't actually ridden loads of rollercoasters in the UK, so I just thought, why not? ' One of the reasons I left the corporate world was to have a bit more variety in the work that I do and so starting the YouTube channel on the tech side was part of that. 'And I just thought, if I was going to make a channel that was completely different to that, what would it be? And it would probably be rollercoasters and theme parks because I'm a big fan. 'I've included every rollercoaster that's classed as a thrill or extreme rollercoaster, to avoid family and children's rides. But we plan to do all of them consecutively. 'As far as I know, I think I'll be the first person to do it – the only person mad enough to do it.' Mr Stokes said he is open to ideas or suggestions from his followers on social media of tasks within the challenge. The duo have booked around half of the hotels, and plan to travel in a hire car, but delays and unforeseen issues could lead to a stressful journey. He said: 'I think it's going to be quite a lot of stress at points, but I'm looking forward to it overall. 'On social media, I realised it was really resonating with people. 'I think people want to go out and have fun and I think that often we are too scared to get out and just do the things that we love, especially as adults. 'There's this whole community out there that loves theme parks, whether they're proper enthusiasts or just people that like going in the summer with their family, and they are now really excited to follow my progress.' He added: 'Someone commented and said it is the UK theme park enthusiast's dream. It might be difficult, so I'll have to decide whether it feels like a dream at the end of it or not. There are theme parks the two plan to visit across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and they are planning on driving to Dublin for an extra set of rides in the Republic of Ireland. Mr Stokes is excited to support many of the amusement parks which are run as independent businesses, as well as visiting historic seaside resorts, such as Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach, which is over a hundred years old. He has asked for permission to film for his YouTube, TikTok and Facebook, and a number of the theme parks have even offered him free tickets. Mr Stokes said: 'A lot of the parks have come back to me and are really on board with the whole idea. 'I need the good summer weather to continue, as I've only packed shorts and T-shirts, and one jacket. But if it all goes to plan, it should be a great trip 'And I'm already looking for inspiration for my next challenge once it's complete – I think the natural next step would be to choose another country and do the same. 'Germany has loads of world world-class theme parks, so we could go and do it there. 'But maybe it could be a country that I've never been to. I know Japan has a few theme parks that'd be cool to get around. But I'll do well to finish this challenge first.'
