Harry Styles sends fans into a frenzy after releasing X-rated new product line

Daily Mail24-07-2025
It's been a while since Harry Styles ' fans have heard from the popstar.
While most would assume that this means he's been working tirelessly on music, it turns out that the star is trying out an entirely different venture: sex toys.
On July 24, the popstar's unisex lifestyle brand Pleasing dropped two sexual wellness products.
The products include The Pleasing Double-Sided Vibrator ($68) and The Pleasing Lube ($25).
These new offerings are being paired with a pop-up experience.
'Come explore our three-day pop-up in New York City where your journey begins with a moment to yourself before discovering the new collection, alongside Pleasing bestsellers and a few special surprises,' the Pleasing site reads.
'No small talk here, Pleasing Yourself favors presence over performance.'
The new drop was promoted in a series of three ads: two posted yesterday before it was confirmed that he was dropping sex toys, and then one on the day of the drop.
But fans were speculating from the first ad that Harry was thinking of releasing a sexual wellness line.
Prior to this, Pleasing was selling products including fragrance, makeup, nail polish, and apparel.
The first video shows a glass of milk being slammed down onto a table, and someone using Morse code to send a message (no one has been able to decipher it yet, with some fans even saying it's a gibberish message).
Harry reposted this video onto his stories, his first upload in quite some time.
The next ad shows a series of phones ringing and vibrating, and Harry's hands finally reach out to pick up a phone.
In the newest ad, Harry writes down 'Please yourself like you mean it' on a diner-style check and then reads the same line aloud.
And fans have been sent into a frenzy as a result - with many shocked that he has released an X-rated line before new music.
'I can't believe we live in a world where Harry Styles is dropping sex toys before HS4,' one X (formerly Twitter) user said, alluding to the unreleased date for Harry's fourth album - if there is one.
'Harry Styles doing everything but going to the damn studio,' another said.
But most of all, fans were just excited to hear Harry's voice again after the star's lengthy pause from the limelight.
'I haven't heard Harry's voice in so long this healed me,' one fan commented on the ad.
There are no official launch dates for the sexual wellness products.

Love Island's Helena breaks silence as she reveals plans for date with unlikely Islander

Dumped Love Island star Helena Ford has said she's looking forward to a double date with a very unlikely contestant after her whirlwind journey in the villa Love Island contestant Helena Ford has spoken for the first time since being dumped from the villa, confirming she intends to remain friends with former partner Harry Cooksley and has even made plans for a double date with him, Meg and Dejon once filming is over. ‌ Helena was eliminated on Thursday night alongside Blu, with whom she was in a friendship couple. The exit followed a turbulent few weeks in which she and Harry went exclusive before he ended their relationship to pursue fellow Islander Shakira Khan. ‌ Despite the breakup, Helena said she wanted to maintain a friendship with Harry. It comes after there was even more chaos in the villa as another couple was dumped just moments after a romantic final date. ‌ 'I don't regret saying we would be friends because I was accepting of the situation and starting to move on from it,' she said in her exit interview. 'The main thing for me wasn't losing the relationship, it was losing our friendship as we had such a great connection. I wanted to still be around him and not avoid him.' Helena explained she believed the dynamic between them would improve away from the pressures of the villa. 'Without the pressure of being in the Villa and seeing each other on the outside, we will be friends. Me, Meg, D and him had already made plans to do things as a four. We have so many similarities, which was why we got on in the first place.' ‌ She also addressed the backlash Harry has faced from viewers over his handling of the situation. 'Actions will always have consequences but I would still back him in some situations as he is remorseful,' she said. 'I don't think he is a bad person, I just don't think he knows how to handle certain things.' ‌ Helena's softer side was highlighted during her on‑screen exit when, after hugging her fellow Islanders, she offered Harry a short but notable parting message. 'Look after Shakira,' she told him. The gesture came despite previous tensions between Helena and Shakira, as well as an ongoing feud between Shakira and Helena's friend Meg, which has been described as one of the 'biggest feuds in Love Island history.' ‌ Harry had admitted to still having feelings for Shakira even while exclusive with Helena, which contributed to the breakdown of their relationship inside the villa. Helena's comment was praised by some viewers on social media for showing grace in a difficult moment. 'Whatever you think of Helena, her walking out by saying to Harry 'be good to Shakira' is lovely. She's not the mean girl a lot of people try to make her out to be,' one fan wrote on X.

Michael Rosen says Allan Ahlberg was a ‘pioneer of great children's literature'

The author, known for books including Peepo! and Woof!, died at the age of 87 on July 29, publisher Penguin Random House confirmed. Children's author Rosen, 79, who wrote the book We're Going On A Bear Hunt, wrote in a post on X, formerly Twitter: 'Goodbye Allan. You were a pioneer of great children's literature, both in picture books and poetry. 'You were clever, funny and wise. My children loved your books. So did and so DO I.' Francesca Dow, head of children's literature at Penguin Random House, said: 'Allan was one of the most extraordinary authors I have had the privilege and pleasure to work with. 'His brilliant books – so many of them created with his late wife, Janet, the highly talented illustrator – have been described as 'mini masterpieces'. 'Allan's are some of the very best – true classics, which will be loved by children and families for years to come. Dear Allan, we will all miss you enormously.' Ahlberg was born in Croydon and raised by his adoptive parents in Oldbury in the Black Country. In 1975, he published his first children's book with his wife Janet, Here Are The Brick Street Boys. Together they went on to publish a number of books, including Each Peach Pear Plum (1978), Peepo! (1981), and The Baby's Catalogue (1982), their picture books Funnybones (1980) as well as the books in The Jolly Postman series. He wrote some books for older readers as well, including the poetry collections Please Mrs Butler (1983) and Heard It In The Playground (1989). Following his wife's death from breast cancer in 1994, he wrote a tribute to her in the form of Janet's Last Book (1997). Ahlberg and his wife Janet were among the most loaned authors in the decade leading up to 2010, according to figures from PLR (Public Lending Right). In 2014, Ahlberg revealed he turned down a literary lifetime achievement award because of the sponsor Amazon's tax arrangements. The author said it was 'unacceptable' to take the honorary award from reading charity BookTrust when the online firm's name was attached to it. Ahlberg is survived by his wife Vanessa, daughter Jessica and stepdaughters Saskia and Johanna.

New Netflix romcom has viewers ‘shedding tears' over ‘bittersweet' story

The book-to-screen adaptation stars Sofia Carson Netflix's latest romance offering has left viewers 'bawling' their eyes out. Directed by BAFTA nominee Iain Morris, known for his work on The Inbetweeners, My Oxford Year landed on the streamer today (August 1). ‌ Unlike Iain's hit comedy series, this film is a real tear-jerker. Based on Julia Whelan's best-selling novel of the same name, the romance follows ambitious American student Anna (portrayed by Sofia Carson), who sets out to study at Oxford University. ‌ She attends the prestigious school to fulfil a childhood dream, but her life completely changes when she meets local tutor Jamie (played by Corey Mylchreest). While the romance seems picture-perfect, there's one major issue: Jamie is hiding a secret. ‌ We won't spoil the plot twist here, but viewers have flocked to share their reactions online. "I was not emotionally ready for My Oxford Year on Netflix," penned one X, formerly Twitter, user. A second praised: "My Oxford Year, wow - just wow - if you need me I'll be crying in my room for the next week. Ps. Sofia you need to pay for my therapy because I shouldn't have been crying so much for one movie." ‌ Meanwhile, a third wrote: "Watched My Oxford Year thinking it's gonna be a cute a** movie but now I'm NOT OKAY and bawling my eyes out." Taking to Google Reviews, another fan candidly shared their emotional response to the drama. "Such an amazing movie truly," the viewer started. "Everything down to the music sound track was so dreamy and makes you feel so intrigued. ‌ "A very bitter sweet ending though, I definitely shed a few tears [...]." The same viewer added: "I definitely recommend watching this movie." Someone else chimed in with a glowing review: "Oh my best rom com of the year with a hint of academia." Another viewer, who has read the original book, also shared a positive review. ‌ Taking to IMDb, they penned: "I thought it was well done. The name changes and hometowns bugged me a bit (as I've read the book). "Somethings like the book of poems he wrote got left out and I feel really shows their relationship and how it has grown. But it was still such a good movie. "The ending had me crying more than the book did."
