'Usko manjoor nahi tha ki..' This actress left her boyfriend a year before her death, broke up due to..., her name was...
For several years, there's been endless rumours and gossips about Kabir Bedi and Parveen Babi's relationship, and why they broke up suddenly. While, many villainised Bedi as he walked away, the actor once opened up and revealed his side of the story.
Kabir revealed that when they went to London, he observed Parveen wasn't keeping well mentally, and persuaded her to seek help. Well, it was the major reason why she left him, and refused to heed his advice. While talking to Digital Commentary, Kabir was quoted saying, 'Vo toh isliye humare relationship ki khatam hui kyunki jab Italy ke baad hum London aaye mai ne dekha uski condition kharab ho rahi hai. Aur usko yeh manjoor nahi tha, jab ki mai janta tha ki agar vo treatment nahi legi toh haal bigadta jayega. Or is baat pe huamri separation hogayi.'
The actor also revealed how he was accused for their breakup, with many claiming the reason was Parveen's mental instability. Defending himself at that time, Kabir said, 'I was demonised but I thought that I could either clear up the misunderstanding and make her look bad or just keep quiet and let her get the sympathy and get the roles so that she can reestablish herself and her career. I spoke about it five years later at the Filmfare.'
Kabir also recalled meeting Parveen just a year prior her death, 'I met her a year before she passed away. She was laying beside the pool, sunning herself and she said, 'Oh, Kabir.' She was embarassed to see me, she had changed a lot. She told me, 'I'm fine but people think I'm mad.' I told her, 'You have made accusations against people and naturally they will have an opinion.' She looked at me and said, 'You also think I'm mad. You are one of them. I don't want to see you again. Please leave.' I wished her well and left. I was sorry to see her in that state. But she had a flat and she was looked after, she was working as an interior designer.'
Kabir concluded by saying that he always cared for her and wanted her to seek help. But, her fear of losing out on work and other opportunities, was the major issue, hence his attempts failed to support her.

Jackie Shroff stood in queue to use common toilet in chawl even after becoming an actor, his neighbors then gifted him a washroom
Jackie Shroff may be one of the biggest stars in Bollywood, but his fame never changed who he was. The actor tasted stardom in '80s but despite that, he continued to stay in a chawl in Mumbai's Teen Batti. After gaining popularity in the film industry, his friends and neighbours from the chawl gifted him a private washroom. This was because there are only common washrooms in the chawl that everyone uses. Talking to Filmfare, Jackie Shroff recalled how he did not have a cupboard to keep his suits after becoming an actor. The actor revealed that first his suit came and then the cupboard. The entire chawl had assembled to see it when the cupboard came. 'I learnt the value of things there. There were three washrooms, and after I became an actor they gave me one washroom.' In a chawl of 30 people, Jackie stated that there were only 3 washrooms. Despite the scarcity, the chawl people gifted him one complete washroom after he became a star so that he did not have to stand in a queue. 'After I became an actor, producers and directors would come to meet me in that chawl. Whenever they had to use the washroom, they had to stand in line. The Chawl people didn't like it. So they told me, 'You have become such a star. We don't like it when you or your friends stand in a queue to use the washroom. We are gifting you the washroom.'' The actor recalled telling his friends from Chawl that he did not need another washroom and that his directors and producers did not mind standing in the queue. But his neighbours did not listen and put a lock on the washroom. On the work front, Jackie Shroff has quite an exciting project in his kitty. We all know that after the historic success of Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and Siddharth Anand are reuniting on King. The film is slated to go on floors on May 20, 2025, and the team has got a solid ensemble on board the action thriller. King is led by SRK and DP with Abhishek Bachchan, Suhana Khan, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, and Abhay Verma in key roles. And apart from them, Pinkvilla has exclusively learnt that the film is getting even bigger. According to sources close to the development, Siddharth Anand and Shah Rukh Khan have roped in Jackie Shroff for a key role in the film.

Not car or house, Jackie Shroff got a toilet as gift after becoming Bollywood star
Veteran Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff , who rose to fame in the 1980s, has often spoken about his modest beginnings in Mumbai's Teen Batti area. Despite becoming a star early in his career with films like Hero (1983) and Teri Meherbaniyan (1985), Jackie continued to live in the same chawl where he grew up. At a time when he had already become a recognizable face in the film industry, his neighbors in the chawl decided to honor his success in a rather unconventional way — by gifting him a personal toilet. A Unique Gift After Stardom During an interview with Filmfare, Jackie recounted how, after achieving success in cinema, he was given access to a private washroom in the chawl. The locality had only three common washrooms shared by around 30 residents. As filmmakers and industry colleagues started visiting him at home, they often had to wait in line to use the shared facilities. This didn't sit well with the other residents, who felt it wasn't right for a public figure like Jackie, or his guests, to stand in queue. Understanding the growing inconvenience, the residents offered Jackie exclusive use of one washroom. Although he initially declined, saying he and his friends were fine using the common toilets, they insisted and secured it with a lock for his personal use. Jackie mentioned that at the time, even having a cupboard in the house was a big deal, highlighting how small things carried great value in those days. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like The Simple Morning Habit for a Flatter Belly After 50! Lulutox Undo Still Connected to His Past Even after decades in the industry and dozens of successful films to his name — including Parinda, Karma, Ram Lakhan, Rangeela, and Border — Jackie has remained deeply attached to his roots. He frequently visits his old home in Teen Batti and cherishes the memories from those early days. In a conversation on Vickey Lalwani's YouTube channel, Jackie revealed that he has been trying to rent the room where he spent his childhood. However, the landlord has refused to lease it back to him. Jackie offered to pay the same amount as the current tenants but said the landlord has continued to resist the idea, possibly due to concerns that Jackie might keep it permanently. Jackie's Long Career and Grounded Persona From being a street-smart youngster to becoming one of Bollywood's most dependable actors, Jackie Shroff has appeared in an array of films across multiple languages. Known for his versatile roles and earthy charm, he has taken on both leading and supporting characters in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Konkani, and Punjabi films. Beyond acting, he is also known for his environmental advocacy. Even after all the fame and success, Jackie's simplicity stands out. His story about being gifted a toilet isn't just a quirky anecdote — it reflects the deep bond he shares with his community and his unpretentious attitude toward fame.
