Artist among those honoured in King's Honours list
Jason Wilsher-Mills, from Sleaford, described it as a "wonderful honour".
His recent exhibition Are We There Yet? attracted more than 50,000 visitors to the Ferens Art Gallery in Hull.
The Wakefield-born artist has used a wheelchair since he was 11 after suffering damage to his central nervous system from contracting chickenpox.
He said it was "one of the highest accolades that I could receive".
"As it acknowledges my work as an artist, and the work I do to raise awareness about disability related issues," he said.
Others on the list include Paul Boucher, director of the Lincolnshire Traveller Initiative, who is awarded an OBE for services to the traveller community in the county.
Eleanor Hutton, manager of Grimsby pre-school centre Explorosity Education, receives a MBE
Also honoured was Helen Keneally, who received a British Empire Medal (BEM).
Ms Keneally, from Scunthorpe, works as a children centre manager and involves families in activities such as community picnics and summer barbeques.

He first sang with the Welsh National Opera in the early 1960s. He performed in some of the most famous venues in the world including La Scala in Milan, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Carnegie Hall, and the Royal Opera House in London. Stuart Vevers Celebrates OBE Honor With Florence Pugh, Will Poulter
LONDON — Stuart Vevers of Coach returned home to England this week to collect his Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, otherwise known as an OBE, for his services to fashion. A moment like this calls for a celebration. More from WWD Charles Melton Uses Coach's Soho Sneaker as a Decoy to Escape Paparazzi in New Campaign Coach Commits $20M to Student Scholarships Coach Debuts Coach Gold Feminine Fragrance With Fresh Campaign Starring Brand Ambassador Storm Reid The British designer invited around 300 people to Two Temple Place by the River Thames on Thursday night in London with Coach chief executive officer Todd Kahn by his side as cohost. Guests on the night included his family, friends, Coach crew and stars such as Florence Pugh, Will Poulter, Yasmin Finney and Mimi Webb. Two Temple Place is known for its neo-gothic architecture and contains artwork by William Silver Frith, Sir George Frampton, Nathaniel Hitch and Thomas Nicholls. 'It's a beautiful historic space and we really leaned into that. We dressed up the place by bringing in historical furniture and it's very classical in its approach. If the weather's good, we're going to start with drinks outside,' said Vevers in an interview on Wednesday. The designer got heavily involved in the planning of the party – he curated the food menu, floral arrangements and some of the music before a DJ got there in the evening. Vevers is the first creative director of an American fashion brand to receive full honors. He was included in the Birthday 2024 Honours List, approved by King Charles III. 'I was excited and surprised – so many things started to run through my mind. I feel really proud, but it's so much for the people in my life and my parents, for whom so much of what we do in fashion goes over their heads. They might not know what a CFDA award is, but this is something really tangible to them,' he said. 'Sometimes the perception is that our industry is frivolous. This award is an acknowledgement, in a way, that reinforces the work that we all do in fashion and it can be really meaningful. Our business is about people's lifelong commitments to skills,' he added. Vevers received the call about the award from the British Consulate when he was driving. The first person he called was his husband, Benjamin Seidler, and then his parents in the U.K. Vevers collected his award from Princess Anne in a classic black suit with his husband and two children by his side, which he said made the Investiture ceremony more special. 'My kids turned five on Sunday and the age in which someone is allowed to attend the ceremony is five, it feels timely and like a sign,' he said, adding that he's been playing tourist with his family and rediscovering London through a pair of fresh eyes. Vevers wanted to stay at the Savoy Hotel to follow through with the 'classic London' theme. 'My son River was so excited when he saw a black cab and this trip has encouraged me not to take things for granted that you're just used to seeing,' he said. From 2015 to 2017, Coach was a regular name on the runways of London, staging shows during London Collections: Men. Maybe Vevers, now with his OBE, will consider coming back to the city more regularly and bringing his menswear shows with him. Victoria Beckham Reacts To Husband David's Knighthood With Emotional Message
Victoria Beckham sent husband David a sweet message following the news that he received a knighthood in the King's Birthday Honours list. Over the weekend, Victoria celebrated the news that the former England striker was being given the title Sir David for his contributions to sport and charity. Sharing a picture of herself embracing her husband on Instagram, the fashion icon wrote: 'You've always been my knight in shining armour, but now it's official.' 'What an honour,' she continued. 'I couldn't be prouder of you. Your dedication to the things that matter most – your country, your work, your passion, and most of all, your family – has never wavered. The way you've touched so many lives over the years with kindness and humility speaks volumes about the man you are and continues to inspire us everyday. 'But above all else, I'm so, so proud to call you mine. I love you so much.' View this post on Instagram A post shared by Victoria Beckham (@victoriabeckham) Like Sir David, Victoria later also posted a Father's Day message that mentioned all four of their children, including eldest son Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, who is thought to have distanced himself from the rest of the family in recent history. In his post, Sir David wrote: 'My most important and favourite job in life is being a dad... I'm so proud of all of you and like daddy (sorry boys) tells you every single day, I will always be here for you no matter what.' He added: 'I love you kiddies more than you could imagine.' Sir David's younger sons Romeo and Cruz both quickly popped up in the comments, while Brooklyn notably did not (the football legend and his wife are also parents to a teenage daughter, Harper, who does not have a public Instagram). Brooklyn was first reported to have fallen out with his brother back in April, and was not present when his dad celebrated his 50th birthday with the rest of the Beckham family last month.
