Street Fighter: Walton Goggins Allegedly In Talks to Play M. Bison

Geek Feed08-06-2025

Walton Goggins had played the villain in a video game movie way back when Alicia Vikander was Tomb Raider , but he could be getting physical in another video game property from Legendary.
According to The InSneider, Goggins is currently in talks to play M. Bison for the Street Fighter movie. For context, Bison is considered one of the main villains in the franchise, and was also the main antagonist in the 1993 Street Fighter movie where he was played by Raul Julia.
Though that movie is considered terrible by general audiences, it actually has cult status to cinephiles, and Raul Julia's portrayal of Bison was considered one of the best video game villain performances of all time.
Going back to Goggins though, we know he can play a great villain, but it does feel like Bison should be able to have the physical chops as well if he's going to be a Street Fighter. If all he has to do is shoot Psycho Crushers at people though, I think it would be fun to just have Goggins just be as ridiculous of a villain as he can be. Heck, he can just do Uncle Baby Billy again from The Righteous Gemstones and I wouldn't complain:
Should Goggins get the part, he would be joining a cast which includes Jason Momoa (Blanka), Andrew Koji (Ryu), Noah Centineo (Ken), and Roman Reigns (Akuma). Who knows, maybe they can get his Fallout co-star Ella Purnell to be the new Cammy; or should she be a British pop-star as well?
No official release date has been set for Street Fighter , but it's expected to come to cinemas on 2026.

Huntrix Don't Miss: K-Pop Demon Hunters Tearing Up the Music Charts

People were expecting Netflix's K-Pop Demon Hunters to have some bops in the soundtrack, and it looks like the movie is definitely delivering on the music front as well. According to @chartsdata, the soundtrack for K-Pop Demon Hunters , the past weekend has earned the album the position of No. 1 on US iTunes, and what's more, the album also got 8.5 million streams on Spotify following the release day. 'KPop Demon Hunters' soundtrack earned its biggest streaming day of all-time on Spotify on June 22 with 8.5 million streams. Its up 500% vs release day. — chart data (@chartdata) June 23, 2025 As it turns out, it actually took a huge team to bring the Huntrix to life on the big screen. Besides the original songs being written by several writers including Danny Chung, IDO, EJAE, Vince, Jenna Andrews, and more; the movie also brought in new singers to record the original songs including EJAE (Rumi), Audrey Nuna (Mira), and Rei Ami (Zoey). We don't know how long the KPDH train is going to run yet, but the movie is currently No. 1 on Netflix, and a lot of people online have been gushing about how it celebrates everything that fans love about K-Pop from the band members having specific personalities to them going on game shows and having fan meets. No sequel has been announced for K-Pop Demon Hunters yet, but the ending does leave fans hopeful for a follow-up, especially with the billboard of Huntrix saying they have a new song/album called Comeback. Some are even hoping that the girls actually get to go on a world tour this time, and maybe they can find Hunters from every other nation—pretty much like what happened with Trolls World Tour . Latest Trailer for Weapons Proves It's The Most Anticipated Horror Movie of the Year

Zach Cregger took everyone by surprise with Barbarian , and before he gets to go mainstream with his reboot of Resident Evil , he has one movie he's working on that has horror fans excited. Weapons is set to come to cinemas this August, and we have a disturbing new trailer for this mystery horror film. Check it out: Though the premise itself was interesting, everyone is excited by the top talent that the movie was able to gather including the likes of Josh Brolin, Benedict Wong, Julia Garner, and Alden Ehrenreich. We don't know what the movie is about exactly, but some are speculating that with the title Weapons and children being the focal point of the story; the film could be looking to say something about school shootings or violence being instilled in young children. Admittedly, Netflix's Adolesence kind of tackled the 'mysogny growing in young males' problem already, but it's going to be fascinating to see how Cregger is going to take on the issue with a horror lens. Then again, this is just speculation on the fans' part; and we don't know exactly what to expect with Weapons —which is what makes it so exciting. It also doesn't hurt that rumors were going around that Jordan Peele fired his agent because he wanted to direct this movie and Cregger got the job instead. Here's the official description for the movie: When all but one child from the same class mysteriously vanish on the same night at exactly the same time, a community is left questioning who or what is behind their disappearance. Watch out for Weapons when it comes to cinemas on Aug. 8.
