Boho Glam Midi Dress
'This midi dress from Farm Rio is like an elevated T-shirt dress. It's so comfortable, very flattering, and oh-so chic! I recently wore it on a girls' trip and received so many compliments. I love that it can be dressed up or easily thrown on with a cute pair of sneakers.' — Caroline Neely, Account Executive

Miami Two-Strap Sandals
'Baby's first pair of Crocs! After tons of research, I decided to purchase these for a trip overseas with LOTS of rain in the forecast. These sandals saw me through every possible terrain, including a rocky beach. They're super comfortable and INCREDIBLY lightweight, so they're easy to pack — a total win for travel. I went for versatile black (as I tend to do), but there are several other fun colors to choose from. (Heads up: I was only able to find these online on the official Crocs website, and they took a few days to ship.)' — Alissa Harb, Managing Editor

Strawberries & Creme Vita Coco
'I've always been a Vita Coco fan because there's nothing quite like naturally hydrating coconut water. But my latest Costco discovery, Strawberries & Creme Vita Coco, just took things to a whole new level. It tastes like the Starbucks Pink Drink, only at a fraction of the price, and now I always have a few bottles chilling in my fridge.' — Robert Conklin, Digital Developer

Neutrogena Clear Face Sunscreen
'This face sunscreen from Neutrogena is my go-to. I use it daily, and I love it because it's lightweight and not too oily. Plus, the bottle is small enough to throw in my purse when I inevitably need to reapply throughout the day.' — Brianna Goebel, Sponsored Content Manager & Associate Editor

Men's Training Shorts
'For people who like the WHOOP band (which I also recommend!), I've been loving my new WHOOP shorts for summer.' — Jay Graves, COO
Pin
Gold Strappy Sandals
'These are my new favorite summer sandals! They're super comfy and match any dress, pair of jean shorts, or romper in your closet. Plus, they're under $50.' — Katelyn Caughron, Client Relations & Social Media Coordinator

Medina Market Basket
'The Medina Market Basket is glued to my side all summer long. Not only is it super cute, but it's durable and can tote around just about anything, thanks to its convenient size. I use it for beach days, picnics, boating, and any occasion where I need to toss a variety of miscellaneous things into a bag and call it a day!' — Kate Feinberg, Associate Editor & Sponsored Content Specialist

Snug Crop T-Shirt
'Give me this shirt in every single color. I've been living in these all summer. They're high quality, fit perfectly, and just make me feel polished and confident.' — Zoe Yarborough, Staff Writer
Pin
Every Day Shimmer Mineral Sunscreen
'Serious sun protection with a little shimmer? Yes, please. This reef-safe, water-resistant sunscreen is made with non-nano zinc and tested to be safe for you and the ocean. The shimmer version gives your skin a soft, radiant glow — and just the right amount of sparkle to feel a little extra.' — Mary Breen, Web Designer
Pin
RYOBI Cordless Misting Fan
'If you despise being outside in the swampy summer air (I do), and your body rejects the heat (mine does), this RYOBI fan is a breath of fresh air. Literally. But wait for it … it's also a mister! Prop it on top of a bucket of water, and voilà — an instant personal cooling station that turns even the stickiest afternoon into something dangerously close to enjoyable.' — Jenna Bratcher, Associate Editor & Lead Nashville Writer

3 Easy Side Dishes for Stress-Free Summer Cookouts
Share with your friends! Pinterest LinkedIn Email Flipboard Reddit Hosting a summer cookout doesn't have to mean scrambling in a hot kitchen at the last minute. These flavorful, make-ahead sides offer a fresh, elevated twist on the classic cookout spread — and can all be prepped in advance for stress-free entertaining! Savory Zucchini Basil Tart Flaky puff pastry meets creamy ricotta, lemon zest, and thinly sliced zucchini in this light and elegant tart, which is just as welcome at a backyard gathering as it is at brunch. Get the recipe HERE. Meal Prep: Slice the zucchini and mix your ricotta base up to a day ahead, then store them in separate containers in the fridge. Assemble the tart right before baking. Pin Thai Lime-Marinated Fruit Kabobs These sweet-and-savory kabobs combine watermelon, pineapple, and cantaloupe with a Thai-inspired marinade of green curry paste, lime, coconut, and honey — then hit the grill for a caramelized finish. Get the recipe HERE. Meal Prep: Cube the fruit and marinate for up to eight hours in advance. Keep refrigerated in a sealed container until ready to use. Skewers can be threaded a few hours ahead and kept chilled on a covered tray. Pin Roasted Broccoli Salad with Tahini Dressing This nutrient-packed salad balances roasted broccoli, cabbage, dates, cashews, and green onions with a creamy, tangy tahini dressing. It's crunchy, sweet, savory, and seriously satisfying. Get the recipe HERE. Meal Prep: Roast the broccoli and prep the veggies and dressing a day or two ahead. Store each separately in the fridge. Toss everything together just before serving to preserve the crunch. Pin Cookout Prep Tips Trays: Use trays or sheet pans to transport prepped dishes to and from the fridge. Labels: Label containers with sticky notes so you're not digging around day-of. Room-temp dishes: Set out room-temp dishes (like the broccoli salad) 15 minutes before serving to let flavors shine. Beverages: Free up fridge space by stocking a separate cooler with canned drinks. This keeps the beverage traffic out of your kitchen! Hot dishes: Avoid anything that must be served hot, unless you have a reliable and easy way to reheat (like a grill-safe tray). Garnishes: Garnish last-minute for freshness. Fresh herbs, citrus zest, or crunchy toppings should be added just before serving so they don't get soggy. Check out more of our creative entertaining hacks for summer parties! Daphne: A Nashville Home Store with Heart, Color & Personality
Share with your friends! Pinterest LinkedIn Email Flipboard Reddit Tucked inside Nashville's L&L Marketplace, on Charlotte Avenue, there's a home decor store that feels like the cozy living room of a well-traveled friend — layered, charming, and filled with stories. It's called Daphne, and it's the namesake of Owner Will Joyce's mother. She encouraged her children to embrace life's quirks and celebrate what makes them unique. That philosophy radiates through every corner of Will's shop and design style. Pin Pin A Design Journey Rooted in Nashville Will's interior design journey started in 1996 at Ethan Allen in Nashville. He went on to spend 17 years at Sprintz, honing his craft, learning the ins and outs of sourcing, styling, and what truly speaks to a home. 'I always wanted my own shop,' Will shares. 'And in 2018, I decided if I didn't jump into this booming Nashville economy, I might never do it.' That leap of faith became Daphne, which opened just before the pandemic. Like all things home-related, it thrived. 'People were investing in their homes again,' he says. 'It gave me the chance to create a space where everyone could find something they love.' Unapologetically Personal Style Will's design eye favors the bold and layered. 'I love color, pattern, and texture,' he says. 'I never embraced the gray-on-gray trend. I like when a room reflects personality — not something that looks like anyone could live there.' That philosophy carries over into how he buys for Daphne. 'The safest things I buy sit here the longest,' he laughs. 'But bring in a bold floral sofa? It sells. People connect emotionally with pieces that stand out.' He encourages customers to design for themselves, not their sister-in-law, best friend, or what's trending on social media. 'If it makes you smile when you walk in the door, then it's the right choice.' Pin Pin A Store with Soul and Discovery Around Every Corner While most of the pieces at Daphne are new, Will curates them to feel storied. A chest with an antique finish, a pair of revamped boudoir lamps he turned into works of art, and even a vintage science lab table with loads of character are all examples of his unexpected finds. 'I'm always drawn to pieces that feel a little weirdly wonderful,' he says. There's also a strong local thread running through the store. Nashville artist Robin Wolfenden's cyanotype prints — created by laying foliage on sun-sensitive paper and letting nature do the work — adorn note cards, wine bags, and large-scale art. Another local artist, Marla Fate, brings silk-based collage wall hangings to life with mixed media and ancient Buddhist art references. And don't miss Will's creative wall hack — a whimsical cluster of vintage-looking postage stamp stickers that artfully covers nail holes and adds a dash of surprise. Pin Pin More Than a Store — A Designer's Playground For those who wander in needing just the right finishing touch or furniture for a new space, Daphne is only the beginning. Will is an interior designer with access to nearly every major furniture line — even the elusive high-end ones. But here's where his experience shines: 'Sometimes I can get something for half the price just by knowing the right vendor to call,' he explains. And, he passes those savings onto his clients. He approaches design as a true collaboration, guiding clients toward spaces that reflect who they are. 'If I can get in the door and pull what they really want out of them, that's where the magic happens,' he says. Pin Pin Why You Should Visit Daphne Today The shop feels a bit like a European apartment layered with history and color. 'One of my inspirations is that crusty wall from The King's Speech — the way texture builds over time,' Will says. 'I want this store to feel like that, full of layers and life.' Whether you're looking for a unique accent piece, a conversation-starting sofa, or the perfect gift, Daphne delivers an experience far beyond a typical retail outing. It's where design feels joyful, approachable, and just a little bit fearless — like the best homes always do. Say hi to Will, as he's usually in the shop. Just don't be surprised if you lose track of time talking about color, cats, quirky art, and the beauty of mixing old with new. Because at Daphne, the design is personal, and that's exactly what makes it so special. ********** Start your day with a smile – add StyleBlueprint to your inbox! Sign up for emails here. Meet Birmingham Interior Designer Caylee Stefanek of LOGOS Interiors
Share with your friends! Pinterest LinkedIn Email Flipboard Reddit Birmingham-based designer Caylee Stefanek of LOGOS Interiors brings soulful sophistication to spaces throughout the South, from Lake Martin to Little Rock. She launched her design firm as a way to turn her lifelong love of drawing floor plans and crafting meaningful spaces into a full-time gig, and we're here for it. We caught up with Caylee and learned how she honors a home's history, finds beauty in function … and how much she's looking forward to raising chickens. Pin What first sparked your love for design? My family built a custom home in middle school, and my dad allowed me to be very involved at a young age. My parents divorced, and as the oldest child, I stepped into homemaking like I was made for it. Coupled with my passion for drawing houses and floor plans in middle school, I have had my eye on a design career for a very long time. As a nanny in college, my passion for crafting homes was influenced by some of the most affluent homes in Belle Meade, TN, and how they function for families and caretakers. I was always drawn to the homes that felt unique, livable, and impressive. How would you describe your aesthetic? My aesthetic is most influenced by my upbringing in Franklin, TN, rural Arkansas, and travels to New England. Anything with a pastoral or coastal emotion feels like home to me, and I especially enjoy mixing in rustic and raw elements with minimalism. Pin Pin How has Birmingham's rich architectural heritage shaped your approach to interior design? The homes in Birmingham have been a wonderful landscape to meander through. Each one has a traditional edge that welcomes my aesthetic, and at times challenges it to be more formal, using more contrast, damask, and brass, more than I typically would. Birmingham homeowners are proud of their homes and put them to use. I appreciate being included in the teams chosen to steward those homes, some dating back 100 years. My stewardship-driven approach is focused on finding a design that feels authentic to me, the home, and the homeowner and is, therefore, timeless. I believe it is imperative to avoid trends that will lose value over time. Pin Your work celebrates layered textures and unexpected detail. What is one signature element you often return to, and what brings you back to it? Every room I work on will have an antique. I like to reduce waste by reusing, and more importantly, I believe that if the piece has lasted a hundred years, it will outlast anything else on the market that I can order for a client. Pin My favorite project to date is probably a series of barn-style homes nestled into some acreage in Leeds, AL. What advice would you give someone trying to move beyond Pinterest and create a home that truly reflects their personal style? I would unplug and travel. Even if your schedule and budget don't allow for it, like mine, get out and do something to stir your heart. Take a day trip to Mentone, AL, drive through the countryside, spend a weekend at the beach, and reflect on where your heart wants to marinate. We can create that in your home without Pinterest. Pin Pin If you had to design a dream space with no limitations (location, budget, or client), what would it look like? A dark-stained cedar-shingled home inspired by my trips as a nanny to Compo Beach in Westport, [but built] in the heart of Mountain Brook, AL, with luscious layers of boxwood, accessory buildings, and a simple pool. I would like to live there and draw every gate, corbel, and custom door to the 'nth' degree. Pin Pin What's a design risk you took that paid off? My most recent design risk was a new business venture. I was asked to draw an 8,000-square-foot dream home for a client who wanted my take on everything from the floor plans to interior and exterior elevations. I undertook this project with singularity, grave attention to detail, and gratitude. We hope the house will break ground late summer. Finally, can you describe your design philosophy in five words? Restful. Authentic. Timeless. Organic. Trustworthy. ********** For home decor inspiration, vacation itineraries, recipes, and more — all delivered to your inbox daily — subscribe to StyleBlueprint!
