Does Fantastic Four First Steps have a post-credits scene
This is despite the fact studio heads including Kevin Feige having dubbed it as their first standalone movie. That might mean that audiences can be comfortable in going to see the release without needing to have seen one of the many films or television spin-offs released beforehand.
However, that doesn't mean that there won't be any meaningful connections to the overall franchise. It is also the first time these characters will be seen on the big screen since the rights reverted back from Fox to Disney and Marvel.
According to the movie's synopsis, the film is set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world. It is a different version of Earth from any of the previous movies.

Audiences will be introduced to Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach's versions of Marvel's First Family. Otherwise known as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ben Grimm/The Thing.
Together they are known as the Fantastic Four and they face their most daunting challenge yet. Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus, played by Ralph Ineson and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer, played by Julia Garner.
If Galactus' plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it wasn't bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal for the heroes.

Fans will want to remain in their seats even after the film appears to have finished and before the lights come back on. That is because not only is there a post-credits scene but there is also a mid-credits scene.
We will not spoil everything that happens in the scenes however, reports suggest that it will have huge ramifications for upcoming titles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It is no surprise at all considering that one of these scenes was directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. The pair directed films including Avengers Infinity War, Endgame and are set to return with Doomsday.
There is also a post-credits scene right at the end of the movie. Similarly to more recent comic book movie releases, this scene is a more light hearted and fun add-on to the film rather than including any major reveals.
The new Fantastic Four has already earned an impressive 89% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. At the time of writing it does not yet have a fan score, with the general public only just being able to go see the film for themselves.

Marvel's first family has finally found box office gold. 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps,' the first film about the superheroes made under the guidance of Kevin Feige and the Walt Disney Co., earned $118 million in its first weekend in 4,125 North American theaters, according to studio estimates Sunday. That makes it the fourth biggest opening of the year, behind 'A Minecraft Movie,' 'Lilo & Stitch' and 'Superman,' and the biggest Marvel opening since 'Deadpool & Wolverine' grossed $211 million out of the gate last summer. Internationally, 'Fantastic Four' made $100 million from 52 territories, adding up to a $218 million worldwide debut. The numbers were within the range the studio was expecting. The film arrived in the wake of another big superhero reboot, James Gunn's 'Superman,' which opened three weekends ago and has already crossed $500 million globally. That film, from the other main player in comic book films, DC Studios, took second place with $24.9 million domestically. The movie takes place four years after the family gained powers, during which Reed's inventions have transformed technology, and Sue's diplomacy has led to global peace. Both audiences and critics responded positively to the film, which currently has an 88% on Rotten Tomatoes and promising exit poll responses from opening weekend ticket buyers. An estimated 46% of audiences chose to see it on premium screens, including IMAX and other large formats. The once towering Marvel is working to rebuild audience enthusiasm for its films and characters. With Disney+, the clue is very much in the name: there's a lot more on there than just the classic catalogue we'd usually call Disney. Following their acquisitions of Pixar (2006), Marvel (2009), Lucasfilm (2012), and – biggest of all – 20th Century Fox (2019), the service went live with all of those separate coffers jam-packed. Many families own it chiefly for animated favourites old and new, so I've devoted about half of this list to cherry-picking those. Every Star Wars sequel (plus the TV spin-offs) is available, of course; ditto every entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I've only picked one favourite apiece in those canons, but franchise devotees will doubtless know their way around that content already. What's less foregrounded is some of the more adult-targeted Fox content, from a pretty broad range of genres, so this dominates the back end of my list. Yes, Avatar and its sequel are streamable, too, but there's a lot more to the studio's back catalogue than effects blockbusters. It would be a real blessing if Disney would license Fox's golden oldies – couldn't we have Laura (1944) or My Darling Clementine (1946) or All About Eve (1950)? Rare Hulk stretch toy sells for thousands of pounds at auction
A stretch toy of Marvel's The Hulk, which has been described as one of the 'rarest stretch toys in existence', has sold for thousands of pounds, according to Excalibur Auctions. The figure, which appears to be one of only 30 known examples of the original Hulk stretch figure from 1979 known to still exist, was sold to a private collector on Saturday at the Excalibur Auctions Vintage Toys, Diecast Models & Model Railways auction for £3,900. Originally estimated between £3,000 and £5,000, the final sale set a new record in the UK for 'a figure of its kind', according to the auction house. Jonathan Torode, from Excalibur Auctions, said: 'We were excited to offer this rare piece of nostalgia today, which set a UK auction record for a figure of its kind. 'We saw competitive bidding on the phones and internet, with it finally winning out to a UK private collector, where we hope it will be as cherished by its new owner as much as it has been by its previous one.' The character the toy is based on was created by the American comic book writer and producer Stan Lee and comic artist Jack Kirby, appearing in comic form for the first time in May 1962 under the Marvel name. He was later portrayed across TV, film, cartoon and video games as The Incredible Hulk – the alter ego of the physicist Dr Bruce Banner, who transformed into the superhero when he was angry or under extreme stress. A range of actors have since portrayed the character over the years, including Eric Bana in The Hulk (2003), Edward Norton in The Incredible Hulk (2008) and Mark Ruffalo in The Avengers (2012). The toy was described as being in 'mint' condition after being kept out of the light, upright, and in its original packaging over the years. The Hulk figure also came with its original instructions and has never been offered for sale since it was bought in 1979, according to the auction house. Produced by renowned toymaker Denys Fisher (1918-2002), the figure came directly from its original owner who had begged his mother for one as a child. It was originally part of Kenner's 'Stretch Armstrong' line and was later licensed under Denys Fisher in the UK. Fisher, who developed the Spirograph, grew up in the Leeds area and later lived in Dumfries and Cumbria. The Hulk stretch figure was filled with corn syrup to enable it to stretch and was made using the same latex and gel moulds as those used for the Stretch Armstrong figure. However, its green skin colouring, the Hulk head and the Marvel branding set it apart from the Stretch Armstrong toy. Manufactured in Thorp Arch, Wetherby, the toy was sold in limited quantities only in the UK, through select mail order catalogues and a handful of shops.
