However, because of ITV's coverage of the UEFA Women's Nations League – which starts at 5.30pm – the latest episode has been pushed back.
But all is not completely lost, as fans will be treated to a special hour-long episode tomorrow (Wednesday) to make up for the lost episode.
Emmerdale will return to screens at 7pm tomorrow, where it will pick up after Ruby's murderous confession.
Monday night's episode saw Ruby confess to the police that she killed her abusive father, Anthony Fox.
Anthony – who had molested her as a child and even fathered her daughter, Steph – was killed in January by Ruby, although initially Aaron Dingle was believed to have done it.
However, while Aaron did brutally batter him, Ruby was the one who finished him off – leaving Aaron to recruit John Sugden to help him dispose of the body.
But she was unaware that he buried his body in the woods, and after the villages lake was dredges, and a body was discovered, Ruby believed her days were numbered, so gave herself up.
However, fans are aware the body in the lake is actually Nate Robinson, who hasn't been seen in the Dales since September last year.
Nate's sudden and swift exit, supposedly for Shetland, never quite sat right with fans, and in February a daring stunt scene saw the truth come to light.
When a hen party crashed into the icy lake, the body was spotted for the first time, with only a bracelet from Nate's daughter Frankie revealing his identity.

He was last seen speaking to John Sugden, after being falsely accused of sleeping with Cain Dingle's wife, Moira.
John has becoming one of the show's most acctive killers – also offing his ex-boyfriend on his wedding day to Aaron.
Ruby, Aaron and John had been keeping quiet about the cover-up, with Caleb and Chastity Dingle later being brought into the fold as well.
But with her confession to the police, what's in store for everyone now? Especially as the body isn't even who they think it is?

Jeff Stewart: Actor who played Reg Hollis in The Bill helps police arrest shoplifter
The actor who played PC Reg Hollis in hit TV series The Bill has been praised by officers after helping them arrest a shoplifter. Jeff Stewart stepped in when a thief attempted to escape on a bicycle in Southampton on Wednesday. In a statement, a Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: "The thief, 29-year-old Mohamed Diallo, fell off the bike during his attempts to flee, before officers pounced to make their arrest. "To their surprise, local TV legend Jeff Stewart, who played PC Hollis for 24 years in The Bill, came to their aid by sitting on the suspect's legs while officers put him in cuffs. "In policing you should always expect the unexpected, but this really wasn't on The Bill for this week." The Bill was broadcast on ITV between 1984 and 2010 and featured the fictional lives of police officers from the Sun Hill police station in east London. Mr Stewart, who was among the original cast, appeared in more than 1,000 episodes as PC Hollis. In praising Mr Stewart's actions, the force said: "Long since retired from Sun Hill station - but he's still got it." Police from the Bargate Neighbourhoods Policing Team were alerted by staff at a Co-op store in Ocean Way to a suspected shoplifter on Wednesday. Mohamed Diallo, 29, of Anglesea Road, Southampton, was subsequently charged with five offences of theft relating to coffee, alcohol and food from the Co-op and two other Sainsbury's stores on three dates in April and July. He pleaded guilty at Southampton Magistrates' Court on Thursday and was bailed to be sentenced on August 29.
