It seems reality show makers keep coming up with crazier and crazier ideas to make new hit shows, and this latest one is going to make some of us quake with fear at the thought of what contestants are being asked to do.

One to watch if that's your kind of thing and you don't mind subtitles. Korean dramas have become increasingly popular in the past few years for their intrigue and suspense. The number one show on Netflix is still Korean dystopian series Squid Game, which is mindbendingly excruciating to watch, but worth every second.
Or if the USA and the reality of watching the rigorous training undertaken by the cheerleading squad of the Dallas Cowboys American Football Team, then 'America's Sweethearts' 'Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders' is a Netflix docu-series following the lives of the ladies involved in the squad and the tough training regime they must undergo, its brutal at times, it takes no prisoners and the coaches have no qualms about cutting someone from the squad for being a little overweight, or not coming up to scratch at training. It's a tough one and not for the fainthearted.
Season two premiered on June 18th, 2025, and while a third season hasn't been officially announced, the series has been renewed, and the team has teased the audition process for the coming year.

Killinaskully On a day in which the schedules are dominated by sport and films, here's a welcome chance to see the first-ever episode of the comedy, starring Pat Shortt, which introduces a group of unusual village residents. To mark the fact that the Gallagher brothers are back on the road together, we're being treated to this feature-length documentary, which looks at Oasis's rise to fame. Well, the simple answer is that we're currently in the run-up to July 14, which is Shark Awareness Day. This summer also happens to be the 50th anniversary of Jaws, so one should expect an inordinate level of shark-themed programming over the coming weeks. A lot of it, however, does seem somewhat at odds with itself. For instance, last week saw the release of Shark Whisperer, which featured a herd of conservationists expressing concern about people, like Instagrammer Ocean Ramsey, interfering with endangered sharks. Now, Netflix is proffering an almost oxymoronic competition show, where conservationists infiltrate the oceans to tick all the sharks off their assigned apex predator bingo cards. If you favour more traditional shark viewing — ie. without a nigh-dystopic gameshow element — Sharks Up Close With Bertie Gregory lands on Disney+ tomorrow. Heads of State Prime Video, streaming now Have you ever considered a parallel universe where Idris Elba is the UK prime minister and John Cena is the US president? Well, now's your chance! Julian McMahon dead at 56 after Nip/Tuck and Fantastic Four actor's ‘private battle' with cancer
JULIAN McMahon is dead at the age of 56 following a 'private battle' with cancer, his family announced in an emotional statement on the 4th of July. His wife, Kelly McMahon, said in a statement: 'With an open heart, I wish to share with the world that my beloved husband, Julian McMahon, died peacefully this week after a valiant effort to overcome cancer. 'Julian loved life. He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his work, and he loved his fans. 'His deepest wish was to bring joy into as many lives as possible. We ask for support during this time to allow our family to grieve in privacy.' READ MORE ON CELEB DEATHS Kelly concluded in the heartfelt message she first shared with Julian's last social media post celebrated what would end up being his final film. The actor boasted about his psychological thriller, The Surfer, which co-starred Nicolas Cage and was released earlier this year.
