Vikrant Massey To Star In Biopic 'White' Based On Shri Shri Ravi Shankar; Narcos Crew On Board
Vikrant Massey stars in White, a biopic on Shri Shri Ravi Shankar's peace mission in Colombia. Filming starts August 2025 with the Narcos production crew.
After months of speculation, fresh updates have emerged about White — the ambitious biopic based on the life and humanitarian work of spiritual leader Shri Shri Ravi Shankar. Fronted by Vikrant Massey, the film is now set to go on floors in August 2025, with an international crew that previously worked on the critically acclaimed series Narcos.
Initially reported by Pinkvilla earlier this year, White is being produced by filmmaker Siddharth Anand and Mahaveer Jain, with direction by Montoo Bassi. The film, however, is not a conventional cradle-to-present biopic. Instead, it is set against the harrowing backdrop of Colombia's 52-year-long civil war — an arena where Shri Shri Ravi Shankar played a significant role in fostering peace through dialogue and spiritual outreach.
A source close to the project reveals, 'Contrary to early reports suggesting a traditional biopic, White will delve into the spiritual leader's role in helping end one of the world's longest-running civil wars. To retain authenticity, the film will be shot extensively in Colombia using real locations."
What's more, the production team is going all out by roping in the crew behind Netflix's Narcos, known for its immersive portrayal of the Colombian drug war. 'The producers wanted a seasoned crew familiar with the geography, politics, and logistical challenges of filming in Colombia. The Narcos team brings invaluable experience and cinematic depth to the project," the source added.
White will largely be shot in a start-to-finish schedule in Colombia, with about 90% of the film taking place on international soil. The remaining portions are planned to be filmed at a Mumbai studio.
Vikrant Massey, known for his layered and emotionally grounded performances, is already deep in prep mode. The actor has reportedly begun intensive reading sessions and workshops with the writing and direction team to embody the role of Shri Shri Ravi Shankar with nuance and authenticity.
The film aims to strike a global chord — blending spirituality, socio-political history, and human resilience — and is expected to be one of the most significant international projects to come out of India in recent times.

XO, Kitty Season 3 Wraps Filming In Seoul, Netflix Release Expected By Early 2026
While Netflix is yet to make an official announcement, signs point to a release in early 2026, potentially by March. Netflix's hit teen romance series XO, Kitty is officially returning with Season 3, and fans can rejoice as the cast and crew have wrapped up filming in Seoul, according to recent reports. While Netflix is yet to make an official announcement, signs point to a release in early 2026, potentially by March. Director Michael Medico, who has helmed several episodes of the series, confirmed the filming wrap on social media two weeks ago. Sharing a behind-the-scenes photo, he wrote, 'That's a wrap on block 3, season 3 of XO Kitty and my time in Seoul. I fell in love with this city and cast and crew. XO, Medico." This season, viewers will follow Kitty Song Covey as she enters her third semester at the Korean Independent School of Seoul (KISS). Season 2 left audiences with plenty of emotional cliffhangers, and Season 3 promises even more romantic twists and evolving friendships. Though the show's creators haven't revealed much about the new storyline, media reports suggest that new characters will be introduced, bringing fresh energy and possibly complicating Kitty's love life even further. The show, a spinoff of Jenny Han's To All the Boys I've Loved Before franchise, has carved its own fan base thanks to its relatable themes, vibrant Korean backdrop, and endearing performances. Season 3 is expected to dive deeper into Kitty's personal journey while also pushing the story closer to what fans are calling the 'MoonCovey endgame", a potential resolution to her ongoing love triangle. As previously reported by What's On Netflix, filming for Season 3 began in April 2025. While it was initially expected to wrap in June, production extended into mid-July. This extra time likely points to added content or extended episodes, a treat for fans eager for more drama, romance, and Seoul sights. Though Netflix has not released an official teaser or premiere date yet, the buzz suggests that new episodes will arrive in the first quarter of 2026. Until then, fans can rewatch the first two seasons and speculate about what's next for Kitty and her friends.
