What we know as Gino D'Acampo accused of sexually inappropriate comments

Yahoo07-02-2025
Celebrity chef Gino D'Acampo faces accusations of inappropriate behaviour over a 12-year period which he denies.
The Italian-born TV presenter, 48, is a regularly a chef on This Morning and most recently starred in reality series Gino & Fred: Emission Impossible.
ITV News have reported "dozens of people" claim the cook's behaviour has been "unacceptable," "distressing" and "horrendous".
The TV presenter — who is married to Jessica and they have three children Luciano, Rocco and Mia — has denied the allegations, saying: "I am a father, husband and have worked with well over 1,500 people on around 80 productions in my career, which I have been so proud of. I take such matters extremely seriously and the suggestion that I have acted in an improper way against is deeply upsetting."
D'Acampo started out in the showbiz industry on ITV cookery competition Too Many Cooks in the early 2000s. His stint on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here in 2009 propelled him to new heights of fame. Since then, he has worked alongside fellow chefs Fred Sirieix and Gordon Ramsay for a travel and food series Gordon, Gino and Fred: Roadtrip — although Ramsay missed out on the latest one.
D'Acampo has been accused of using sexualised and aggressive language on TV sets.
Among the claims, one woman has alleged to ITV that D'Acampo made sexual comments to her in a "power play" when they were at a magazine shoot back in 2011.
His legal team responded to ITV to say: "This allegation from almost 15 years ago has never, until now via a media request for comment, been raised or put to Mr D'Acampo. He does not recall it, nor accept that this happened. Mr D'Acampo is horrified to be accused of "power play" and an "aggressive act". He emphatically and unequivocally denies these allegations."
Two women accused the celebrity chef of making sexual comments on the set of Gordon, Gino And Fred's Road Trip in 2018.
ITV News reported it had seen an email detailing concerns about D'Acampo's behaviour raised with the production company Objective Media Group executives — which co-produced Gordon, Gino and Fred's Road Trip in 2018.
Objective Media Group responded to say it "takes the welfare and wellbeing of all its production staff and teams incredibly seriously".
D'Acampo has denied the claims of inappropriate behaviour that have emerged as part of the ITV investigation.
His legal team responded to the claims with ITV saying: "I have been told by ITN news that allegations have been made about me acting inappropriately, some dating back over ten years ago.
"I have never been made aware of these matters previously and the allegations are firmly denied. I would not do anything that I thought would upset or distress anyone. This is simply not in my nature. I do not recognise the version of events being put to me.
"Not only have these allegations never been raised with me before, I have been repeatedly supported by executives at the highest level and was commissioned on prime-time programmes during the period in which it is now suggested I was acting inappropriately."
Studio Ramsay told ITV: "Whilst we do not disclose or discuss personnel matters publicly, Studio Ramsay is committed, in conjunction with our broadcast partners, to a safe and professional work environment. We take all allegations of inappropriate behaviour and workplace misconduct seriously, promptly investigate, and take appropriate remedial action when warranted."
MultiStory Media, which produced Gino's Italian Express, told ITV: "It would be inappropriate to go into the detail of individual concerns but we give our assurance that we are reviewing the concerns which have been raised, what was known at the time and what action was taken. We will also look at any new concerns that have come to light."
Multistory Media told the PA news agency it has not worked with D'Acampo for six years.
Yahoo has reached out to Gino D'Acampo and This Morning's representatives.

Demi Moore, Miley Cyrus and Timothée Chalamet to receive stars on Hollywood Walk of Fame

LOS ANGELES — They can buy themselves … stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame? Miley Cyrus, Timothée Chalamet and Demi Moore were among the 35 honorees announced Wednesday by Eugenio Derbez and Richard Blade. Inductees were selected across five categories: motion pictures, television, live theater and live performance, recording and sports entertainment. There were no radio honorees. Others who made the class of 2026 include actors Emily Blunt, Rachel McAdams, Molly Ringwald, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Rami Malek and Noah Wyle; former NBA star turned sports analyst Shaquille O'Neal; and 'Good Morning America' co-anchors Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos, who will have a double ceremony. Italian special effects artist Carlo Rambaldi and director Tony Scott will be posthumously honored. Cyrus, who released her ninth studio album, 'Something Beautiful,' in May, rolled around the Walk of Fame for the music video for her aptly titled single 'Walk of Fame,' later revealing on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' that she developed an infection on her kneecap from the bacteria on the famed Hollywood Boulevard sidewalk. Still, the singer shared some of the footage on Instagram shortly after her star was announced. 'When I first came to LA from Nashville as a little girl, my family would stay at a hotel on Hollywood Blvd, and I would go on late night walks with my dad when no one would recognize him. We'd have the gift shops to ourselves & buy knock off Oscars and Marilyn Monroe merchandise,' she wrote. 'To now be cemented on this legendary boulevard, surrounded by the icons who inspired me, feels like a dream.' Her father, singer Billy Ray Cyrus, doesn't yet have a star on the Walk of Fame. Meanwhile, Chalamet is coming off the success of the Bob Dylan biopic 'A Complete Unknown.' He earned an Oscar nomination for his role as the legendary singer-songwriter. He's set to begin filming the third installment of the 'Dune' film franchise, titled 'Dune: Messiah,' this summer, according to Deadline. Moore, who rose to prominence with the 1985 film 'St. Elmo's Fire,' earned her first Oscar nomination this year for her role in 'The Substance,' in which she starred opposite Margaret Qualley. She and Ringwald will be the latest of the Brat Pack to join the Walk of Fame, following Rob Lowe in 2015. It's also a family affair for Blunt and brother-in-law Stanley Tucci, who appeared in 'The Devil Wears Prada' together and are set to return for the sequel. Once selected, honorees are expected to cover an $85,000 sponsorship fee to pay for the creation and installation of the star, as well as maintenance of the Walk of Fame. Recipients have up to two years to schedule their ceremonies before the offer expires. ‘Top Chef' Star Serves Wagyu Meatballs at His New Las Vegas Restaurant

Fabio Viviani didn't win season five of Top Chef, but as the show's crowned 'Fan Favorite,' he's among the series' most prolific alumni. Now he's making his Las Vegas debut, bringing his signature charm — and a meatball upgraded with wagyu — to Summerlin with Ai Pazzi at JW Marriott Las Vegas. Opening Thursday, July 3, the new Italian restaurant joins a sprawling portfolio of nearly 40 restaurants the chef has opened, co-owned, or lent his name to since his breakout television moment in 2009. 'I love to work with resorts,' Viviani says. 'And this is about the food and building something in the community to feed the Las Vegas clientele.' That food is traditional Italian with touches of Vegas glitz thrown in. Dimpled, homemade orecchiette pasta gets tossed with spiced duck sausage, charred fennel, white wine, and a hint of chile for heat — all savory, textured, and warming. In a frutti di mare, squid ink pasta is served in a briny mix of clams, mussels, and shrimp in lobster broth. Mozzarella is hand-pulled tableside, draped over heirloom tomatoes while soft and warm. The chef's signature meatball — now upgraded with wagyu, ricotta, and rich tomato sugo — arrives juicy and fragrant with basil. Dessert at Ai Pazzi looks like layered jars of espresso-soaked tiramisu and sticky lemon ricotta cake with strawberries. Cocktails include the Montenegro Nights with bourbon, vanilla and caramel syrups, bitters, and a toasted marshmallow. Viviani's own Fabrizio di Rienzo wines — exclusive to his hospitality group — round out the beverage list. The restaurant is part of JW Marriott and Rampart Casino's sweeping $75 million renovation, which also includes a new pizza counter adjacent to the restaurant that will serve Neapolitan slices and an Oyster Bar slated to open later this summer in a new food hall. Vivianni says the Oyster Bar will be like those found in other Las Vegas off-Strip casinos — like the iconic Oyster Bar at Palace Station — but with an Italian twist. He describes it as 'an oyster bar on the Amalfi Coast.' The counter will serve seafood pots, terrines of steamed clams, shellfish-laden seafood towers, and Champagne. Since his Top Chef appearance, Vivianni has become something of a mogul and pitchman — publishing cookbooks, returning for Top Chef: All Stars , fronting San Pellegrino and Dr. Oetker frozen pizzas, and launching Jars, a dessert-in-a-jar chain now in seven states. Ai Pazzi translates to 'to the crazy ones,' which Viviani says he intends to mean as 'crazy as in obsessed.' It's an obsession he comes by honestly. 'I want it to be the best Italian food not in Italy,' Vivianni says. Ai Pazzi at 221 North Rampart Boulevard is open Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. See More: Vegas Restaurant Openings

Pizzerias in Miami and Miami Beach are named among best in the country

An Italian guide just named two Miami-area pizzerias among the best in the country. As part of its 50 Top Pizza USA 2025 rankings, 50 Best Pizza named La Leggenda Pizzeria in Miami Beach and 'O Munaciello, which has locations in the MiMo district and on Coral Way, as two of the best pizzerias in the United States. The restaurants were tied at no. 10 on the list The ranking wasn't exactly a surprise to either restaurant, both of which serve Neapolitan-style pies. Both have made the list before — and both thanked their customers for support. In an Instagram post, La Leggenda owner and chef Giovanni Gagliardi, who was born in Napoli, thanked his team and his wife and business partner as well as his customers for their support. 'It's a huge honor to be recognized among the best pizzerias in the U.S., but for me, it's also a reminder to keep pushing, improving, and embracing every challenge,' he wrote. 'I want to dedicate this award to all of you, our amazing and loyal customers — there are so many of you, and I'm truly grateful.' In addition to being named as one of the top pizzerias, 'O Munaciello, owned by Valentina Borgogni, was also named as the pizzeria with the best fried food in 2025. The restaurant also has a location in Florence, Italy. 'A big thank you to all of you who make us love our work more and more every day!' a post on the restaurant's Instagram said. 'It is thanks to you that we are still first best pizzeria in Florida and this year ranked 10th in the entire United States. Thanks to all our employees and the entire 'O Munaciello family around the world!' Only one other Florida pizzeria made the list: Fabrica Pizza in Tampa, which also serves Neapolitan pies. Not surprisingly New York restaurants dominated the list with 12 pizzerias in the top 50. The city is home to the no. 1 pizzeria, Una Pizza Napoletana from Anthony Mangieri. The restaurant on the Lower East Side was ranked no. 1 in 2022 and 2024. If you go La Leggenda Pizzeria: 224 Española Way, Miami Beach; 'O Munaciello: 6425 Biscayne Blvd., Miami, and 2250 Coral Way, Miami;
