To help people stay safe out there, he compiled a list of all the Nissans you should look out for on the road. Fair warning, his list is highly unserious.
'Remember, Nissan doesn't make any car that isn't Altima based,' Shadetreemotors says in the reel.
As images of various models of damaged Nissans flash by, Shadetreemotors describes them as the Smalltima, Talltima (pickup truck), Crawltima (bigger truck), HVACinstalltima (white cargo van), Beckywe'regoingtothemalltima (pink SUV), and Recalltima (Nissan with a deployed airbag).
'Stay safe out there,' he warns.
One of the Most Dangerous Cars on the Road
Shadetreemotors may have been joking, but he does have a point about Altimas being dangerous.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), an independent nonprofit dedicated to making vehicles and roads safer, conducted a study of driver deaths that occurred from 2018 to 2021. It found that the Nissan Altima has among the worst death rates. The Altima comes in at number nine for driver death and 14 for other driver death.
In contrast, the Nissan Pathfinder 2WD and Nissan Murano 2WD were among the safest for driver deaths. According to the study, the vehicles with the highest rate of driver deaths are:

Why the Bad Rep?
The consensus on Altima drivers being reckless is so clear that there's even a term for it: 'Big Altima Energy.'
And despite having good safety ratings, from 2020-2022,

45% above average and more than double the average rate of personal injury and medical payment claims for midsize sedans.

'Nissans are heavily used in the rental market and resold cheaply—who buys cheap cars?' they wrote. 'Poor people and those with bad driving records who can't get financing. People working delivery jobs, or multiple jobs—both with an elevated risk for accidents. I mean—any other vehicle could slot right in if used the same way.'

As much as small sedans and crossovers are the most affordable new cars in America, some people simply can't do without a pickup truck. Be it for towing, off-roading, or transporting larger or awkwardly-shaped items, pickups are hard to beat. But if you can't afford one of the most expensive new trucks in America, we've put together a list of the cheapest ones, ranked from most to least expensive. Only the cheapest derivative of each truck has been included, and the prices indicated below exclude the destination charge and any options. Finally, as pricing changes regularly, these are the cheapest new pickups at the time of publishing. Like other Frontiers, this variant has a 3.8-liter V6 engine making 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque. Rear-wheel drive is standard, with four-wheel drive optional. A nine-speed automatic transmission is standard. In 4x2 guise, this pickup can tow up to 7,150 pounds. The standard hybrid powertrain produces just 191 hp, but the upside is its combined consumption of 38 mpg, better than any other pickup. For only $125 more, you can get the 250-hp turbocharged model, which also replaces the CVT with an eight-speed automatic. FWD is standard, and this compact unibody truck can tow up to 4,000 lbs, but only with the tow package. Ford's Recall Affects Almost Every Cool Car They Make, and There's No Fix Yet
If you've recently bought one of Ford's best-selling vehicles, like the wildly popular Bronco, the workhorse F-150, or the family-hauling Explorer, the company has some unsettling news for you. Ford is recalling a staggering 850,318 of its most iconic models worldwide, including 844,098 in the U.S. alone, from the 2021-2023 model years due to a defect that can cause the engine to suddenly stall while driving. But the real kicker in this massive safety recall isn't just the danger of your engine cutting out on the highway. It's that Ford has admitted it doesn't have a solution yet, and has ordered its dealers to immediately stop selling or even demonstrating the affected vehicles. 'The remedy is under development,' the company plainly states in several documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). According to an urgent 'DELIVERY HOLD' notice sent on July 8 to all U.S. dealers, the problem lies with a faulty low-pressure fuel pump that can fail unexpectedly. The consequence is blunt and dangerous: 'An engine stall while driving increases the risk of a crash.' The notice warns dealers they could face civil penalties of up to $27,168 per vehicle if they deliver an unremedied car. The list of affected vehicles, now frozen on dealership lots, reads like a who's who of Ford's modern lineup: For current owners, the new documents provide critical information about what to watch for. Ford says that before a total failure, a driver might experience poor engine performance (like misfiring or running rough), a check engine light, or a sudden reduction in engine power.
