There's a brand new Dyson Airwrap that's so much more advanced than the original and here's what it can do

Stuff.tv4 days ago
Dyson's latest launch for its ultra-premium haircare range is the Airwrap Co-anda 2x multi-styler and dryer – and this thing really can do it all.The 6-in-1 tool can replace several heated appliances and be used to dry, curl, wave, straighten, smooth and volumise, all without heat damage.
It features the company's most powerful hair care motor, the Hyperdymium 2, which spins up to 150,000rpm. In real-world terms this means you can expect a lot more air pressure. Indeed, it has twice as much air pressure according to Dyson, which will enable hair to be dried and styled in super quick time.
I was super impressed when I tested the Dyson Supersonic r – still the best hairdryer I've ever used – and now with the upgrade of the motor, it looks like the Airwrap Co-anda 2x will offer the same (or even better) drying experience, but with the option to use a a styler too. At £580 (around $799), it's certainly an investment buy, but I can still see it being very popular indeed. It's confirmed as coming to the UK, but it hasn't been announced officially for the US as yet.
Using RFID-enabled attachments, the Airwrap Co-anda 2x multi-styler and dryer will automatically adjust to the attachments you add, which makes styling a whole lot easier. I also like that when you connect to the MyDyson app, you can enjoy the one-touch i.d. curl technology, which is a curling sequence customised for your hair – again, good hair days made easy.
For all hair types
You can choose between Straight+Wavy and Curly+Coily sets when buying an Airwrap2x in the UK, both come with six attachments in a Dyson-designed presentation case. The Straight+Wavy set comes with 2x 30mm Co-anda curling barrel, 40mm Co-anda curling barrel, Anti-snag loop brush, Round volumising brush, AirSmooth attachment and Fast dryer. The Curly + Coily set comes with 2x 40mm Co-anda curling barrel, 40mm Co-anda curling barrel, Anti-snag loop brush, Tension comb, Wave+Curl diffuser and Fast dryer.
The Dyson Airwrap2x multi-styler and dryer will come in Ceramic Pink and Jasper Plum colourways and I'll bring you a full review as soon as I can.

One of Dyson's most popular devices just got a huge upgrade – but it's not a vacuum

When you think of Dyson, your brain probably jumps straight to sleek, pricey dirt-suckers. But somewhere along the way, Dyson also became a posh fan brand. You'll no doubt recognise the original bladeless Dyson Cool fan. But did you know it's now 16 years old? After years of letting its fan line coast while it flirted with air purifiers, straighteners and air-purifying headphones (yeah, remember those?), Dyson's gone back to its roots. The new CF1 fan is a big upgrade to Dyson's bladeless fan and it looks great. The Dyson Cool CF1 is a full-on refresh of its original bladeless fan. It has the same general aesthetic, but it's smarter and quieter. The CF1 keeps the iconic circle-meets-pedestal look, but now sports a new LCD screen on its base that lets you know what it's doing without needing to decipher any beeps or random light flashes. Air Multiplier tech is still doing the heavy lifting here, flinging out 370 litres of air per second in a stream that actually feels smooth. Other Dyson fans I've used live up to this, unlike choppy budget fans that seem to alternate between 'gentle breeze' and 'tornado simulator'. So I expect this new fan will blow me away (pun very much intended). With ten fan speeds and three different oscillation ranges, it's got plenty of range to keep you cool without blasting papers off your desk. Dyson's new Night mode dials things down to a whispery 29dB at night so you can get some shut-eye. It also dims the screen so you're not trying to nod off next to a digital lighthouse. Is it a revolution? No. But it's a long-overdue upgrade you'd expect from a brand that's obsessed with making airflow seem sexy. Note that you don't get purification, heating, or humidifying here – the CF1 just cools. The Dyson Cool CF1 is available now for £250 from Dyson. There's no US pricing or availability just yet.

This new super-slim Dyson vacuum is hiding a clever trick

Dyson is arguably the undisputed champion of vacuum cleaners, and the brand's latest release is its slimmest ever. In fact, the aptly-named new PencilVac is the world's slimmest vacuum. But that's not what makes it so clever. Inside the vacuum, Dyson has crammed in the first conical brush bar cleaner head. This thing is designed to eject even the longest of stray hairs, so nothing gets tangled up inside the cleaner. Read more: Best robot vacuum cleaners in 2025 to keep your floors clean Dyson's PencilVac is, by some engineering miracle, just 38mm in diameter. That's slimmer than the barrel of a reusable water bottle. Now, I know what you're thinking: surely a vacuum this small is more novelty than necessity. But here's the clever bit – Dyson didn't just shrink the form factor, but also reimagined the entire cleaning head. The PencilVac features a Fluffycones cleaner head. It may sound like an adorable desert, but is actually a set of conical brush bars that spin in opposite directions. It can clean both forwards and backwards so long hair doesn't get tangled up like it always does in normal vacuums. Dyson says this setup actively ejects hair as it vacuums, which means no more crouching on the floor with scissors, trying to hack your way through a hairball that could pass for a small rodent. Inside, the new Hyperdymium motor clocks in at just 28mm – Dyson's smallest and fastest yet. It spins at a ridiculous 140,000 RPM to deliver serious suction. There's also a linear dust separation system which captures 99.99% of microscopic nasties and compresses them in the bin. The bin itself works like a syringe, plunging all the gunk out without you having to touch anything. And in true 2025 fashion, it's gone fully digital. The PencilVac connects to the Dyson app to help you track battery life, get filter cleaning reminders, and so on. There's even an LCD screen on the vac to display the power mode and remaining runtime. The Dyson PencilVac will be available from 2026, sold directly from Dyson. No word on the pricing yet, but if Dyson's usual playbook is anything to go by, you'd better start preparing your wallet now.
