Beyond just having that adorable puppy face, Park Bo Gum is also known for his flawless skin and is one of those rare Korean actors with glass-clear skin and zero surgeries, something his co-star IU (aka Lee Ji Eun) definitely wanted answers for. Responding to her tease about dermatologists being nervous, Bo Gum played along, joking, 'I heard that too. People say looking at my face is like getting a facelift.' While the audience laughed, he dropped something worth noting. To make sure he looked fresh on camera, Bo Gum said he wouldn't eat or drink anything the day before filming, just to avoid a pimple. 'I wanted to look my best,' he said, adding with a smile, 'I didn't even know why I was laughing.' He admitted, 'I really appreciate that people smile when they see my face, so every week before the shoot, I'd skip food completely, just to keep the pimples away.'
IU was surprised and asked, 'Even you, Bo Gum?' He added that drinking less water helped him feel more energetic on shoot days. 'If I drink a lot of water and stay hydrated, I look fabulous during 'Cantabile' recordings.' When asked if there was a guest who stood out to him, Bo Gum mentioned Jang Deul Lae and jokingly said, 'The thought of wanting to remove the wedding ring…' He then congratulated her on her marriage and her resized ring, which drew more laughs from the crowd.

Bo Gum's close friend BTS' V (Kim Taehyung) couldn't make it to the show in person because he's currently in the US working on BTS' next album. But he made sure to send a special video message for the finale. The duo earlier headlined the Paris Fashion Week as the brand ambassadors of Celine. In the video, V said, 'Bo Gum hyung asked me, 'Taehyung Ah, when are you coming on the show?' But I'm in the US right now, so I couldn't make it. I feel bad. If we get a chance later, I'd love to shoot together.' The Winter Bear crooner then thanked fans for supporting Cantabile, promised a great new BTS album next spring, and told everyone to look forward to it. Park Bo Gum was visibly moved by the video. He just sat there in silence, reacting with a soft 'Oh,' while the audience applauded.

Saiyaara OTT release set for Netflix; Diwali debut on the cards
After a record-breaking run at the box office, the romantic drama Saiyaara, featuring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, is now gearing up for its digital premiere on Netflix. According to a report by News18, the film — already crowned the highest-grossing love story in Indian cinema — is expected to arrive on OTT around Diwali. While an official release date has yet to be confirmed, sources suggest that Netflix and the film's producers are eyeing the festive season for its streaming debut. Originally planned to drop a few months after its theatrical release, the film's overwhelming success — grossing ₹ 478 crore globally in just over two weeks — has led to an extended cinema run. The final OTT release date will reportedly depend on how long the film continues to perform well in theatres. If everything goes as planned, Saiyaara could brighten up viewers' screens during Diwali celebrations. Directed by Mohit Suri, Saiyaara tells the story of Krish Kapoor, a troubled musician, and Vaani Batra, a reserved poet. The film explores themes of love, heartbreak, and emotional healing. ETimes rated the film 3 out of 5 stars, praising Ahaan Panday's debut performance. 'He effortlessly blends raw swagger with vulnerability,' the review noted, especially in a powerful final scene where he echoes the intensity of cricketer Virat Kohli. Aneet Padda also received positive reviews for her expressive performance, particularly in a standout scene set in a recording studio, where she reflects on the lasting impact of emotions in music as compared to fleeting trends. With steady theatre attendance and positive word-of-mouth, Saiyaara is expected to continue its strong box office run in the coming weeks. Adding to the excitement, a viral video shows Ranbir Kapoor asking paparazzi, 'Saiyaara dekhi kya?' — sending fans into a frenzy on social media. All eyes are now on Netflix's Diwali line-up, with Saiyaara poised to be one of the season's biggest streaming events.

Park Chan Wook's 'No Other Choice' to open 30th Busan International Film Festival
Park Chan Wook's 'No Other Choice' to open 30th Busan International Film Festival The 30th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) has selected critically acclaimed director Park Chan-Wook's 'No Other Choice' as its opening film, reported Variety. It will mark the return of Park Chan to the big screens three years after 'Decision to Leave', for which he won best director at Cannes. According to the outlet, the film stars 'Squid Game' actor Lee Byung-hun in the lead role. He plays the role of Man-su, a man whose comfortable life unravels when he's suddenly dismissed from his job, forcing him into a desperate struggle to protect his wife Miri (Son Yejin), their two children, and their home, reported Variety. The story follows Man-su as he embarks on what the festival describes as "his own war of survival." Lee, who will also serve as host of this year's opening ceremony, teams up with Son Yejin for their first on-screen pairing as a married couple. The cast also includes Park Hee-soon, Lee Sung-min, Yeom Hye-ran, and Cha Seung-won. Park described the project as a "long-awaited passion project" at BIFF 2019, and the film will receive its Asian premiere in Busan, following its world premiere at Venice, as reported by Variety. "I am deeply moved and excited to experience the premiere of Park Chan-wook's desired project alongside diverse audiences on the festival's opening day," said BIFF festival director Jung Hanseok. "I sincerely hope that its selection will build meaningful momentum to garner greater attention and foster renewed interest in Korean cinema," added Jung as quoted by Variety. The selection comes at a significant moment for Korean cinema, with BIFF positioning the film as one that "embodies what audiences most hope to see" and can "reinvigorate Korean cinema at this pivotal moment." Park made his directorial debut with 'The Moon Is... the Sun's Dream' (1992) and went on to create groundbreaking works including 'Joint Security Area' (2000), the Vengeance trilogy ('Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance,' 'Oldboy,' 'Sympathy for Lady Vengeance'), 'Thirst' (2009), 'The Handmaiden' (2016), and 'Decision to Leave' (2022). The director has been invited to the Cannes competition section four times and has been honoured with the Grand Prix, Prix du Jury, and Prix de la mise en scene, making him the first Korean director to achieve all three distinctions, reported Variety. The 30th Busan International Film Festival will run from September 17 to September 26.
