Long Strange Drive: Felix Rosenqvist to Sport Grateful Dead Livery
Felix Rosenqvist will sport a Grateful Dead tribute livery along with SiriusXM's Grateful Dead Channel, honoring the band's 60th anniversary, for a pair of upcoming races.
The No. 60 SiriusXM Honda will feature the one-of-kind look this weekend at Laguna Seca and the August 10th race at Portland International Raceway.
The custom car design comes ahead of Dead & Company's sold-out concerts in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park August 1–3 in celebration of 60 years of the band's music.
This isn't the first time this season Rosenqvist's ride has paid homage to music legends.
He teamed up with legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne and SiriusXM's Ozzy's Boneyard at the Mid-Ohio race to celebrate Black Sabbath's "Final Show at the Back to the Beginning" concert on July 5. Osbourne passed away on Tuesday at the age of 76.
The Java House Grand Prix of Monterey is set for Sunday at 3 p.m. ET live on FOX.

INDYCAR Driver 'Happy to Not Get Hit' While Stuck in Blind Spot
In the closing laps of the Java House Grand Prix at Laguna Seca, INDYCAR driver Marcus Ericsson high-centered on the exit of turn six, lost control, and slid into the gravel and back onto the racing surface before stalling. He then sat there for several laps trying to get the race restarted while the course was under a local yellow in his sector. INDYCAR on Fox broadcaster James Hinchcliffe noted on the replay of Ericsson's crash that he was lucky to stop and not go further into the racing line to get collected by the full-speed traffic at the time of the incident. "So lucky to not continue going driver's left and be collected by another car," Hinchcliffe said. "That could've been much, much worse." The problem was that Ericsson was marooned, unable to start, sidelined on the asphalt as drivers continued, not seeing the No. 28 Andretti Global until they were within a few yards of it. The INDYCAR on Fox broadcast showed a portion of the course from Pato O'Ward's helmet cam, highlighting just how close the drivers were before Ericsson came into view. The full-course yellow was thrown after several laps, and the Andretti of Ericsson was brought back to the pits for a DNF with heavy damage to the floor of the race car. When Ericsson was first released from the race care center and asked if he thought the yellow was thrown late, he said he didn't know since he was too focused on getting his car going. "I don't know," Ericsson answered Fox Sports' Bob Pockrass, "I was just trying to get the car started again, that was my main focus." Following the race, Ericsson posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, that he was happy to be safe following being stuck in a blind spot for multiple laps. 'The best dad.' IndyCar's Scott McLaughlin shares message after Bubba Wallace won Brickyard 400
INDIANAPOLIS — Bubba Wallace claimed his first NASCAR Cup Series win at the Brickyard 400 on Sunday, the third victory of his career, and even after taking the lead on Lap 143 had his own doubts. "The last 20 laps, there were ups and downs of me telling myself I wasn't going to be able to do it," he said. The race broadcast shared fuel concerns, one that even Denny Hamlin was unsure of, but Wallace did a burnout after crossing the bricks first after a red flag for rain in Turn 1 that lasted 18 minutes, and then a second overtime. Wallace was able to kiss the bricks with his wife, Amanda, and their son, Becks, who was two days shy of being 10 months old. A photo shortly after was shared on Twitter, and IndyCar driver Scott McLaughlin had a heartfelt message. McLaughlin had finished, key word of late as he poked fun at recapping his own race, 10th at the IndyCar race at Laguna Seca, which was won by Alex Palou before the Brickyard 400 wrapped up despite a later start time. "This guy is the best dad," McLaughlin wrote on Twitter. "Has been going through it with the racing gods. Always one of the first people to text me if we have a bad day. So happy for Bdub, a great dude and I hope the haters enjoyed that." McLaughlin's 10th-place finish ended a drought of consecutive races with DNFs. He crashed on Lap 1 of Iowa Race 2 and again on Lap 3 at Toronto, finishing 26th in both races. McLaughlin sits tied for 11th with Rinus VeeKay (259 points) in the championship standings in what's become a Palou runaway (590) with a slim margin for Pato O'Ward (469) to catch him.

It's all Alex Palou in dominant IndyCar Laguna Seca race win
There was never any doubt. On a weekend where Pato O'Ward hoped to apply pressure and gain championship ground, frontrunner Alex Palou snatched the pole and marched off to a comfortable win to draw close to his fourth NTT IndyCar Series title. Alex Palou, Chip Ganassi Racing Palou was the class of the field Sunday, leading 84 of 95 laps. California's own Nolan Siegel held the top spot for 11 laps on an alternate strategy early on, but Palou surged past him on lap 37 and never looked back, becoming the first IndyCar competitor with an eight-win season since 2007. With the win and O'Ward finishing fourth, Palou extended his championship advantage to 121 points with just three races remaining. 'What an amazing job by everybody at CGR, Honda, DHL, for giving us everything we needed to be as fast as we were,' Palou said. 'It's been an awesome weekend, awesome year overall. But today was something else. 'Super fun to be here. (It's) one of my favorite tracks, for sure. I couldn't be happier right now.'Christian Lundgaard followed in second, pitting earlier than his rivals and using the undercut to rise up from seventh over the first three stints. The Dane had pace, but couldn't take advantage of two late cautions to make moves on Palou, taking the checkered flag 3.7965 seconds behind his No. 10 Honda. Colton Herta, Andretti Global Colton Herta wrapped up the podium in third, with O'Ward fourth and Scott Dixon parlaying another off-sequence, fuel-saving strategy to fifth from 19th. Callum Ilott, Will Power, Marcus Armstrong, Christian Rasmussen and Scott McLaughlin wrapped up the top 10. Sunday's race brought early drama, with one caution-free incident on lap 1 and another that did bring out the yellow when Kyffin Simpson and Felix Rosenqvist crashed into the tire barrier at the end of turn 6. Another caution flew just 10 laps later when Jacob Abel crashed alone with brake issues in turn 2. That set the stage for an attrition-filled race, but it didn't ultimately come to fruition. A caution flew when Rinus VeeKay was trapped in the turn 3 runoff after a misjudged lunge from Kyle Kirkwood, but the race proceeded to go green through the rest of the pit sequence. Two late cautions added late intrigue, but there were minimal shifts over the final laps. Only Marcus Ericsson, Abel and Simpson failed to reach the checkered flag.
