‘Rohit Sharma's anger is more dangerous than Virat Kohli's,' says Yuzvendra Chahal; Rishabh Pant recalls being called ‘stupid' by Sunil Gavaskar
During the same segment, Chahal was asked what's more difficult to predict — the ball thrown by a bowler or a girlfriend's mood. The cricketer answered that it is more difficult to predict a ball thrown by a bowler.
When Kapil showed surprise at Chahal's answer, Chahal politely asked him to move on to the next question. Immediately, Navjot Singh Sidhu said, 'This means he is an expert in other things more than cricket.' Rishabh, however, countered that the expert in this case is Kapil Sharma and not Chahal. Kapil, however, dismissed the claim with a joke.
For the unversed, Yuzvendra Chahal was married to actor and social media influencer Dhanashree Verma. They parted ways this year after five years of marriage. The two had tied the knot in 2020. Chahal is currently rumoured to be dating RJ Mahvash and has been spotted with her on many occasions.
During the segment, Sidhu also recalled the incident when Sunil Gavaskar had called Rishabh Pant 'stupid, stupid, stupid' for getting out at a crucial point in a match. However, Pant turned that moment into an opportunity and was later seen saying Gavaskar's lines — 'stupid, stupid, stupid' — in an advertisement which he shot with Gavaskar himself. Talking about the same, Rishabh said, 'We were just sharing love.'
Taking advantage of the situation, Sidhu took a jibe at Gautam Gambhir jokingly and said, 'Gautam also doesn't get involved in small fights, he take on big fights.' However, when Kapil asked him to elaborate, Sidhu refused to talk further. In the past, Gautam Gambhir has had various confrontations with cricketers, including Shahid Afridi and Kamran Akmal. His most recent spat was with Indian cricketer Virat Kohli.
Meanwhile, Gambhir too took his chance to get back at Sidhu. When Kapil asked him what he likes more about Sidhu – his cricket commentary or his shayaris? The cricketer without hesitation said, 'his shayaris.'

ENG-W vs IND-W, 4th T20I: Spinners make merry as India beats England by six wickets to clinch series
The Indian women's team clinched the T20I series against England with an unassailable 3-1 lead after winning the fourth match by six wickets at the Old Trafford Ground in Manchester on Wednesday. With this, the India Women confirmed their first-ever T20I bilateral series win against the England women, either at home or away. Chasing a meagre 127, India openers Smriti Mandhana (32 off 31) and Shafali Verma (31 off 19) put on a 56-run stand till the seventh over before the latter was dismissed by offie Charlie Dean. Smriti too was sent back to the hut soon after and suddenly, England seemed to be back in the game. However, another partnership bloomed — a 48-run stand between skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (26 off 25) and Jemimah Rodrigues (24 not out off 22) — which helped the visitor win the match with three overs to spare. AS IT HAPPENED | ENG-W vs IND-W, 4th T20I Highlights After winning the toss for the fourth match in a row in the series, England chose to bat, perhaps hoping to emulate the start its openers gave in the third match. However, Sophia Dunkley (22 off 19) and Danni Wyatt-Hodge (five off seven) couldn't replicate their form from the evening in London. Indian spinners made merry on the track. After Dunkley and Wyatt-Hodge were removed in the PowerPlay by Deepti Sharma and N. Sree Charani respectively, the duo of Alice Capsey (18 off 21) and skipper Tammy Beaumont (20 off 19) looked settled to steady the ship. The visitor's tweakers, however, never gave the batters enough time to get comfortable and put on the squeeze with great effect. Between the 7th and 20th over, the spinners bowled nine and conceded 56 runs out of the total 88 runs, while taking five wickets between themselves. Radha Yadav emerged as pick of the bowlers with figures of 2/15 in four overs. A couple of sixes in the last over off of Sophie Ecclestone and Issy Wong's blades offered some hope for the host but the total was always going to be a below-par one to defend.

Vidya Balan reveals she lost more than 8 films in the South after people labelled her a 'jinx' following the shelving of Mohanlal's Chakram
Before she became one of Indian cinema's most celebrated performers, Vidya Balan faced a string of rejections that would have broken many. In a recent interview, she opened up about a particularly painful chapter—being labelled a 'jinx' after her debut Malayalam film Chakram, opposite Mohanlal , was abruptly shelved just days into production. The film's collapse wasn't due to her performance but rather creative differences between the director and Mohanlal. Still, the fallout was swift and brutal. Vidya, who had already signed 8–9 South Indian films, saw every single offer vanish overnight. 'I was thinking to myself, I was a star,' she recalled in a conversation with Rodrigo Canelas. 'Then Chakram got shelved, and I lost each of those films. People said I brought bad luck. ' Superstition and Stigma in the Industry In a culture where astrology and energy are often intertwined with casting decisions, Vidya became a scapegoat. Producers whispered about her 'aura', and some even claimed her presence had doomed the project. She was replaced in films without notice—sometimes after already shooting scenes. According to reports by Pinkvilla, one Tamil producer reportedly told her parents, 'Does she even look like a heroine?' The comment devastated her. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Brain tumor has left my son feeling miserable; please help! 'It came from a personal issue someone had with me, but it spread like wildfire.' Faith, Family, and the Fight to Rebuild Despite the heartbreak, Vidya didn't give up. She leaned on her family—especially her sister Priya, who reminded her of actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Tabu, who also faced early rejection. Vidya even completed a master's degree in sociology as a backup plan. Her emotional anchor during this time? A convent-school hymn: 'One day at a time, sweet Jesus.' She repeated it like a mantra, telling herself, 'Just get through today.' The Turning Point: Pradeep Sarkar and Parineeta Three years after her lowest point, Vidya met ad filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar, who cast her in a music video and later promised to make a film with her. That promise became Parineeta (2005), her Bollywood debut—and a career-defining moment. 'For the first time, I felt seen,' she said. 'Dada had so much faith in me. I rebuilt myself through that film.' From 'Jinxed' to National Icon Vidya went on to deliver powerhouse performances in The Dirty Picture, Kahaani, Tumhari Sulu, and Sherni, earning a National Film Award and the Padma Shri.

India's Bangladesh Tour To Be Replaced By White-Ball Series Vs Sri Lanka: Report
Last Updated: The BCCI and Sri Lanka Cricket are reportedly discussing a bilateral series in mid-August, featuring 3 ODIs and as many T20Is. As India's white-ball tour of Bangladesh has been postponed, discussions are underway between the BCCI and Sri Lanka Cricket for a bilateral series in mid-August. India were supposed to travel to Bangladesh for a series comprising 3 T20Is and as many ODIs. However, the Indian cricket board confirmed last week that the tour shall take place in September 2026 as the decision has been made due to hectic international FTPs. As reported by Sri Lanka's the men in blue will fly to the island nation to play white-ball cricket. It added that the BCCI and Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) are actively exploring the logistics and feasibility of a short series. The proposed series is expected to feature three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three T20 Internationals (T20Is), giving both sides valuable match practice ahead of their respective future assignments. Adding to the window of availability, the Lanka Premier League (LPL), which was originally slated to take place between July and August, has also been postponed. The tournament's rescheduling has further cleared Sri Lanka's domestic calendar, making space for international fixtures. The postponement of Bangladesh has led to a re-evaluation of available windows for bilateral series. On the other hand, Sri Lanka are scheduled to travel to Zimbabwe for a bilateral series starting August 29. That makes the mid-August window — possibly around the second and third weeks — the only viable period to host India without a scheduling clash. India's previous tour of Sri Lanka – in 2024 – marked the beginning of Gautam Gambhir's coaching tenure. The visitors clinched the T20I series before the hosts bounced back to thump India in the 3-match series 2-0. Though an official announcement is still awaited, fans could soon be treated to an unexpected but thrilling contest if negotiations materialise. An announcement is expected once the logistical and broadcast-related aspects are ironed out. view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
