India's stunning 336-run win over England in the second Test at Edgbaston may have levelled the five-match series 1-1, but former England captain
Michael Vaughan
isn't backing down from his pre-series prediction of a 3-1 victory in favour of the hosts.
'India have been too good this week .. Outstanding performance .. My prediction is still alive .. 3-1 England ..' Vaughan posted on X, acknowledging India's dominance but staying firm on his forecast.

In his column for The Telegraph, however, Vaughan was more critical of England, accusing them of regressing after Headingley. 'This week, they were back to their bad old ways,' he wrote. 'Apart from four hours on the third day where Harry Brook and Jamie Smith batted beautifully, they have been totally dominated by India.'
Shubman Gill, Gautam Gambhir shut critics with thumping win over England
Vaughan pointed out that England misread their opening win in Leeds, where dropped catches by India tilted the momentum. 'They turned up here and thought they should do everything the same way, and it has backfired,' he said, warning that relying on 'fortune' won't win big series.
Poll
Will England still win the series 3-1 as predicted by Michael Vaughan?
Yes, they will bounce back
No, India will take the series
'You win games relying on fortune, but not big series like this one or the Ashes,' he added, urging England to 'evolve' rather than base their method on a single game.

Former pacer Stuart Broad, speaking on Sky Sports, also raised red flags about England's bowling setup. A big-name player might be changing teams soon. League insiders are talking about possible moves behind the scenes. Bradley Beal's next decision could shake up the entire Western Conference. While no official word has come out yet, a quiet buzz is growing. What's coming next might involve one of the most watched franchises in the league. Bradley Beal could leave the Phoenix Suns soon, sources say Bradley Beal became part of the Phoenix Suns in June 2023. He came over from the Washington Wizards in a big trade. After joining, he signed a large contract. Many fans hoped he would form a strong group with Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. — BrettSiegelNBA (@BrettSiegelNBA) But now, things may change again. On July 8, a report from ClutchPoints suggested that a buyout agreement is being worked out between Bradley Beal and the Suns. Beal's current contract still has three years left, but with the Suns trying to manage their salary cap, parting ways could help both sides. Beal, who is now 31 years old, averaged 18.2 points, 4.4 assists, and 4.1 rebounds last season. Injuries limited his playing time, but he remains a reliable scorer and playmaker. If Beal agrees to a buyout, he would become a free agent. That means any team can sign him without giving up any players or picks. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Gold Is Surging in 2025 — Smart Traders Are Already In IC Markets Learn More Undo According to ClutchPoints, several playoff-contending teams are closely watching the situation.
