AN elderly woman has died after being injured in a horror two-car crash.
The smash happened on Clark Street, near its junction with Springwells Avenue, in Airdrie.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene after the alarm was raised around 6.45pm on June 28.
The collision involved a black Audi A4 and a blue BMW M2.
A 68-year-old woman, the passenger of the Audi, was rushed to University Hospital Wishaw for emergency treatment.
But tragically she could not be saved and she passed away on Friday.

A man, aged 67, who was behind the wheel of the Audi was taken to University Hospital Monklands.
He was later discharged.
The occupants of the BMW were assessed by paramedics at the scene.
Police launched a probe after the crash and officers are continuing to carry out enquiries.

Sergeant Ross Allison said: 'Our thoughts are with the family of the woman who has died.
'Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this incident and I would urge anyone who witnessed what happened to contact us.

'Similarly, anyone with dash-cam footage that may assist our enquiries is advised to get in touch.'
