Emirates to upgrade flights to 7 top destinations
The DXB-based airline will expand its schedules in Argentina, Brazil and Italy later this year while also layering on more retrofitted aircraft throughout its network.
The world's biggest international airline will add a third daily flight to Italy's fashion capital of Milan, which will be served by a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
From Sunday October 26, Emirates will now fly daily to Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires.

Services to Shanghai will also be upgraded with the introduction of an Airbus A380 on the EK302/303 route and a retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft on the EK304/305 route.
The airline's third daily flight between Dubai and Singapore will be served with the flagship A380 on the EK314/315.
And Premium Economy will be introduced on the EK87/88 route to Zurich when a newly retrofitted A380 aircraft is introduced from Sunday February 1.

Following a difficult June in the region, the airline says that it has been business as usual across its network, and it continues to ramp up operations to respond to summer demand.
Dubai has entered one of its busiest travel periods of the year with 3.4 million guests expected to pass through DXB between Friday June 27 and Wednesday July 9.
The busiest day of the period is expected to be Saturday July 5 for both departures and international transfers.
Emirates is also planning ahead for the winter travel period with all of the announced upgrades featured here to come into effect from Sunday October 26, except from the Zurich services.
The upgrades will allow travellers to enjoy the airline's latest products and seat configurations for a more comfortable journey.

Landmark agreement to help create 1200 manufacturing jobs
A trade union has forged the landmark agreement with a subsea cable company to help create up to 1,200 energy manufacturing jobs in Ayrshire. GMB Scotland signed the voluntary recognition agreement with XLCC on Tuesday as it backed the company's plans to transform the site of a former coal terminal at Hunterston. Executives and union leaders met in Glasgow to finalise the agreement as GMB, one of the biggest unions across the UK energy sector, urged UK and Scottish ministers to help accelerate the development. Louise Gilmour, GMB Scotland secretary, said the agreement 'shows how the voice of workers and their communities can be harnessed to help create new jobs in green energy'. She said: 'Too many workers believe the transition to renewables is being done to them not with them. 'That must change and this agreement shows how. The voice of workers must shape industrial strategy and energy policies if our country is ever to turn talk into jobs. 'Only genuine and effective cooperation between industry, unions, and governments can help deliver the transformation needed in our manufacturing supply chains. 'We share the ambition of XLCC to create good, unionised jobs in Ayrshire and hope innovative agreements like this can be a template to help secure a new industrial future.' GMB said the UK Government's promise to create 650,000 new high-quality jobs will rest on harnessing the combined strength of industry and workers, and urged governments on both sides of the border to support the proposed cable plant at Hunterston. The agreement 'details how the business and union will work together to campaign for the development while building industry-leading industrial relations', the union said. The agreement is intended to pave the way to a full recognition agreement with collective bargaining as the workforce grows. Ryanair cancels more than 800 flights due to conflict in Middle East
The Irish airliner is among those to have cancelled and rerouted flights amid the conflict between Israel and Iran, as well as continued attacks in Gaza. Last week, flights were halted at Dubai airport in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as passengers were told to expect further delays and cancellations. On Wednesday, Ryanair said it still operated more than 109,000 flights in total in June, indicating that fewer than 1% of flights were affected. The Ireland-based business said it carried 19.9 million passengers over the month, representing a 3% increase on the same month last year. It said this means it has carried 202.6 million passengers over the past 12 months, up 7% year-on-year. Elsewhere, rival London-listed airline Wizz Air also reported a significant rise in passenger numbers. It said it carried 5.88 million passengers in June, up 10.8% against the same month last year. Its seat capacity was 10.4% higher year-on-year as a result. Wizz said it has carried around 65 million passengers over the past 12 months rolling, up 4.7% year-on-year.
