Summary
Kiko Kostadinov, the acclaimed London-based designer, today unveiled hisSpring/Summer 2026collection duringParis Fashion Week, inviting the audience into a captivating narrative spanning a single day on a secluded, imagined island. This presentation, intentionally distanced from external trends, immersed viewers in the distinct rhythms of everyday life in a place defined by its self-contained nature.
The show's staging itself mirrored the progression of time, with lighting shifts tracing the hours and garments appearing in a gentle, sequential flow. This unhurried reveal allowed the collection's central focus—its diverse materials—to truly command attention. The morning's tranquility was captured in the relaxed elegance of pieces, featuring silhouettes reminiscent of Bulgarian military pyjamas, rendered in abstract paisley twill and crinkled floral cotton. As the day advanced, the collection transitioned into functional, intuitively assembled workwear, showcasing technical stretch twill trousers, shorts, and jackets, alongside denim two-pieces and cotton jumpsuits. The narrative then built towards the sophistication of evening attire, with ruched and cropped blazers, deeply pleated trousers, and long coats featuring K-dart construction. Notably, this season marked the debut of bespoke suiting crafted in Japan for the label.
Kostadinov's deep exploration of textiles was evident in the rich array of fabrics, often combined in both harmonious and unexpected ways. Lightweight twill, tactile mesh, contra-stitched leather and finely woven kasuri cotton underscored a profound emphasis on sensory experience. Specialized treatments permeated the collection, including stonewash on Japanese denim, resist-dyed knits and over-dyed jersey inspired by traditional Yomitan pottery glazes, all designed to convey a lived-in feel and the subtle weathering of materials over time. Following the ideals of wabi-sabi, the need for perfection ins not necessary, but rather the focus on the transient nature of materials is meant to be appreciated and imperfection is accepted. Furthermore, a spotlight shone on fine tailoring fabrics, many of which were custom-produced with Lanificio Luigi Ricceri in Prato, resulting in a unique hand-feel and appearance across materials like raised-stripe cotton, intricate mosaic wools, and waved seersucker-like wool.
Amidst the meticulously planned progression, accessories introduced new fabric bags recalling Bulgarian bagpipes and shepherd pouches, alongside lightweight flip-flops and patterned canvas trainers.ASICStabi runners reappeared, featuring a gradient finish and a vintage 1960s typographic logo. Kiko Kostadinov's SS26 collection stands as a masterclass in conceptual narrative allowing clothing to become a subtle, tactile chronicle of an enchanting day.

Forum Members Review the Louis Vuitton Menswear Spring 2026 Collection

Day one of the Menswear Paris Fashion Week Spring 2026 was a one for the books. This season, the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode's schedule granted us spectacular day one showcases from Saint Laurent and Louis Vuitton. Pharrell Williams has been the creative force behind Louis Vuitton Menswear since 2023 just dropped his ninth collection. For Spring 2026, Williams invited guests (including Beyoncé and BamBam) to the Centre Pompidou. The set evoked a life-sized game of Snakes and Ladders, conceived by architect Bijoy Jain of Studio Mumbai. Models emerged from backstage donning a collection 'rooted in the multi-faceted signatures of Indian sartorialism', consisting of sun-bleached silks, worn-in leathers, and soft wools, cashmere, plaids, and lightweight tailoring. 'This act he puts on every time he comes out at the end of the show is so cringe. It's even worse than the luggage trolley gimmick. Nothing interesting there. It's just bland.' [Avonlea] 'I didn't like the show. The music, the choir, the trolleys, the cameras flying. Too busy.' [Monsieur Cristobal] 'The pushing of the trunks need to stop. It becomes a gimmick rather than a part of the show.' [TaylorBinque] 'Absolutely nothing is desirable here, save for a couple of pieces. It looks COMMON.' [Squizree] 'Not awful, but I probably won't remember anything about it either. He knows how to put on a show though.' [LadyJunon] 'I pretty much echo all the sentiments thus far in this thread. Very appealing, luxe clothes but as ever lacking in identity. I doubt I'll remember this collection in a couple of days time. Well, maybe the shiny trousers which looked really nice, especially when paired with a simple brown cable knit jumper.' [Fiercification] 'I hate that I kinda like it.' [youthinasia] 'I like the knits. Some gorgeous sweaters in there.' [fruitdots] See all the looks from the Louis Vuitton Menswear Spring 2026 collection and join the conversation, here. Watch: The Highlights of Menswear Paris Fashion Week Spring 2026

That's a wrap on the Spring 2026 season of Menswear Paris Fashion Week. Since June 24, the French capital has been ablaze with back-to-back shows and presentations. The season was catapulted into high gear with Saint Laurent. At the historic Bourse de Commerce building, right in the heart of Paris, models paraded around a pool of drifting porcelain bowls, donning Anthony Vaccarello's collection of oversized shorts, boxy trenches, and blazers with strong shoulders. To close out day one with a bang, the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode gave up the night slot to Pharrell Williams of Louis Vuitton. This season, William's set evoked a life-sized game of Snakes and Ladders, complete with none other than Beyoncé sat perched in the front row. Elsewhere to happen this week was the buzz-worthy Rick Owens show. The otherworldly event at the Palais de Tokyo was followed by a walk through of the opening of the designer's dedicated exhibition at the Palais Galliera. For the Ami showcase, names like Catherine Deneuve, Sarah Paulson, Amanda Lear, and Mélanie Thierry assembled on Place des Victoires as stormy skies brewed above the open-air show. Julian Klausner presented his first Dries Van Noten menswear show in Paris on Thursday. The collection featured an explosion of bold colors, textures, and ideas, and took inspo from the brand's archives. Perhaps the biggest highlights of Menswear PFW took place on Friday, as Jonathan Anderson unveiled his debut menswear offering as he sole creative director of Christian Dior. The recipient of theFashionSpot's 2023 Designer of the Year award infused the past and present, amalgamating 18th-19th-century dressing with a contemporary preppy-inspired style.
