After more than a decade with the same iconic music, WWE superstar Becky Lynch is reportedly set to get a brand new entrance theme. A new report has revealed details of the new song, which could debut as soon as tonight at SummerSlam.
The reigning Women's Intercontinental Champion has used her current theme, "Celtic Invasion," since her days in NXT. The song has been the soundtrack to her entire main roster journey.
A New Anthem For "The Man"
According to a new report from Fightful Select, a new entrance theme for Lynch could be debuting imminently. The report states that the pop-punk band The Wonder Years created the new song for her several months ago.
The new theme will reportedly feature lyrics and have a "The Man Has Come Around" soundbite inserted into the intro. This would be a significant change for one of WWE's top stars.
The Power Of The Entrance Theme
In professional wrestling, a superstar's entrance music is a crucial part of their identity. A great theme song can define a character, energize a crowd, and become synonymous with a wrestler's biggest moments. Iconic themes like "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's glass shatter or The Undertaker's gong are as legendary as the performers themselves.

WWE founder Vince McMahon resigned from the WWE and its parent company TKO as executive chairman and its board of directors following allegations of sexual assault made public in a lawsuit in Connecticut. A former employee Janel Grant accused McMahon, 78, of sexual assault and sexually trafficking her. MoreBecky Lynch's "Celtic Invasion" has been the soundtrack to her transformation from the "Lass Kicker" to "The Man" and all of her historic championship victories, including the main event of WrestleMania 35. A new theme would signal the beginning of a new era for her character.

Bypassing Def Rebel
The news that an outside band created the theme is also significant. For the last several years, WWE's in-house music team, Def Rebel, has produced the vast majority of superstar themes. The group has received widespread criticism from many fans who find their music to be generic and less memorable than the work of previous composers like Jim Johnston and CFO$.
It was reported several months ago that WWE was looking to work with more mainstream artists. Lynch, a top-tier star, being able to "bypass" the in-house team to work with a popular band like The Wonder Years is a major sign that this new strategy is being put into action. Fans should listen closely tonight when Becky Lynch makes her entrance for her title defense against Lyra Valkyria at SummerSlam.

WWE's Seth Rollins ruse pays off in epic moment that Night 1 of SummerSlam desperately needed

It's the 'Heist of the Century' — the sequel. Seth Rollins did it again — this time at SummerSlam, cashing in his Money in the Bank contract to defeat CM Punk to become World Heavyweight champion for a second time in front of an announced crowd by WWE of more than 53,000 at MetLife Stadium on Saturday night. Rollins has been off WWE television since 'tweaking' his knee during a match against L.A. Knight at 'Saturday Night's Main Event' last month. There had been speculation at the time about whether the injury was serious and legitimate, a cover-up for a minor knee injury or a complete work to set up Rollins' eventual cash-in that needed to in some way top what he did to Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 31.
