A Wild Update About ‘Slow Horses' Season 5, 6 And 7 On Apple TV+

Slow Horses

In 2025, there are the 95% of streaming shows that are taking anywhere from 1.5 to 3 years to put out new seasons, and there is Slow Horses. At this point, the Apple TV+ spy show is an anomaly like nothing in the current market, as this latest update from Deadline demonstrates.
Slow Horses has been making new seasons at absolutely blinding speed, and this new update shows just how crazy it's getting:
Usually, a way to get a season out relatively quickly is to be on top of things to the point where you can be writing or even shooting as the current season is airing. But you read that correctly, the next season is already finished before season 5 is airing, and then the season after that, season 7, will be filming as season 5 is airing. I'm not sure there is anything like this happening in the market, even on more traditional broadcast TV.
Slow Horses season 1 was released in April 2022. We will now get season 5 in September 2025, five seasons in three and a half years. Then what, six seasons in four? Seven seasons in five? It's certainly possible at this pace. It helps that the seasons are six episodes long, but even still, it's something of a miracle.

It's not as if the show is pumping out garbage. Quite the opposite. The series is one of the best on TV, landing Best Drama nominations for the series and Best Actor in a Drama nominations for star Gary Oldman, the recently knighted actor who says he will play the Jackson Lamb role forever, which is no doubt pleasing to Apple. The series has a 98% critic score across its four seasons, perfect 100s for seasons 2 and 4, 98% for season 3 and 95% for season 1. Again, there's nothing quite like this on TV.
However, Slow Horses is somewhat cursed with the Apple TV+ association due to the fact that every time I try to bring the series up, almost no one has seen it, and few are even aware it exists. It's yet another example of Apple TV+ arguably being the best streaming service, given its proportion of great shows paired with how few people actually subscribe to it or watch it. It's unfortunate, and I recommend checking it out immediately. You have four seasons you can binge already.

Nancy Meyers shades 'The Holiday 'series in the works at Apple TV+: 'News to me'

"Imagine my surprise when I opened Instagram and this was the first post I saw," the filmmaker said of the project's points The Holiday is receiving a limited series at Apple TV+. Nancy Meyers, the writer/director behind the original 2006 movie, shaded the announcement of the project on Instagram. Meyers previously shot down rumors that a sequel to the movie was in the works with Cameron Diaz and Kate Holiday is getting a TV series — but Nancy Meyers doesn't sound too happy about it. The filmmaker, who wrote and directed the 2006 Christmas rom-com of the same name, reacted to the announcement that Apple TV+ is adapting her movie into a limited series. "News to me," Meyers wrote in an Instagram Story atop a screenshot of a Hollywood Reporter post about the TV show. "Imagine my surprise when I opened Instagram and this was the first post I saw. 🤔" The Holiday limited series on Apple TV+ will be written and executive produced by Krissie Ducker (Sweetpea) and will see input from Rob Delaney (Catastrophe) as a consultant, Entertainment Weekly has learned. Deadline first reported the news, noting that Meyers has no involvement in the project, and that well-known actresses are being considered for the lead roles. Meyers' The Holiday starred Cameron Diaz as a workaholic movie trailer editor in Los Angeles and Kate Winslet as a London journalist pining after her ex-slash-coworker. The two women spontaneously decide to do a house swap and each fall in love with a local across the pond. Diaz is paired up with Jude Law, who played Winslet's character's brother, while Winslet couples with Jack Black, a charismatic musician. The original Holiday grossed over $200 million at the global box office, making it Meyers' fourth-biggest hit as a director (behind What Women Want, Something's Gotta Give, and It's Complicated). The Holiday has maintained a sizable following since its original release, as its Christmastime setting has inspired consistent wintertime rewatches among rom-com fans. However, despite the film's continued popularity, Meyers confirmed that she has no plans to revisit the movie in 2022. The filmmaker shot down rumors that Diaz and Winslet had boarded a sequel in an Instagram post. "So many DM's about this. Sorry but it's not true," Meyers wrote in a caption of a Daily Mail screenshot claiming that the original cast would return for a sequel. The director also recently revealed that she didn't expect the film to become a Christmas classic. "I never thought it would be, you know, a movie that you watched during the holidays.... Didn't think of it that way," she told the Hollywood Gold podcast. "I just really wanted to tell the story about these people. I set it at Christmas because that can be lonely. As I noted to myself last night while I was watching, they're all damaged."Meyers has not directed a film since 2015's The Intern. She attempted to helm a new project, tentatively titled Paris Paramount, for Netflix, but the project stalled after disagreements on the budget. Scarlett Johansson, Owen Wilson, Penélope Cruz, and Michael Fassbender were all reportedly in talks to star in the film. Read the original article on Entertainment Weekly

Glam, Easy, a Little Bit Sleazy: Electric Purple Is Fall's Color-To-Watch

'Electric purple' isn't a shade I'd say has ever been a serious part of my own sartorial lexicon. In saying that, there was a time before Spanish it-girl brand Paloma Wool was the coolly restrained, subversive Paloma Wool we know it as today, when they were putting out jewel-toned corduroy jumpsuits. One in particular was a brilliant Skittles purple shade, in a style that would have fit better on the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band cover art than Barcelona's Eixample streets. That balshie, bold color palette has long been scrubbed away from Paloma's now cool-toned IG aesthetic, and I sold the jumpsuit on Depop for cheap when my own personal take on color theory said the same. After that brief dalliance, I have not, for some time, seen myself as a purple girl—of any hue. Aubergine? Maybe sometimes. Lilac? Hell no. Royal purple? Not yet. And then the fall 2025 runways began to pepper in electric purple. While the previous season was defined by lithe, lighter shades of lilac and lavender—alongside the requisite butter yellows and cornflower blues—fall 2025 goes deeper, more sumptuous. At Gucci—an interim collection following the departure of Alessandro Michele—there were some era-hopping Gucci-isms: Michele's moddish '60s shapes, De Sarno's silky slips, and glam details that recalled Tom Ford's '90s tenure. But a continuous thread was a Daphne Blake-esque purple; in pea coats, sheer dresses, billowing blouses, and a monochromatic heels and stockings combo. 'A continuum of craft, taste, and culture that passes through time,' is how a press release described the show—the jewel color defined a kooky yet stoic sense of glamor for a house in flux. The color purple has long been associated with royalty and spirituality, and electric purple is a way various designers and houses chose to express their own version of power and—once again—louder luxury. At Miu Miu, it was stomping go-go boots. At Alexander McQueen, Seán McGirr took it a few shades more gothy for his Oscar Wilde-inspired characters in eggplant-y ruffles. Nina Ricci by Harris Reed revelled in the women who danced the nights of the '70s away, with sensuous fabrics, opulent jewel-colored faux-furs, animal-print slips, strong shouldered velvet blazers. Colleen Allen's irreverant collection celebrated the female form and spirit, proposing a self-described 'divisive' purple among celery greens and cerulean blues. Purple and fluoro-flecked Fair Isle clothed Anna Sui's 1930s screwball comedy heroines. Photo: Umberto Fratini / Photo: Alessandro Lucioni / Photo: Courtesy of Gucci Photo: Salvatore Dragone / Sumptuous purples have continued to find their way into the wardrobes of celebrities enjoying this louder sense of style right now: Timothee Chalamet, not yet done with Wonka, doing some 'vintaje' shopping in an open purple shirt; Meryl Streep as the stern, severely stylish Miranda Priestly in Dries Van Noten; Tracee Ellis Ross color-blocking with Barney purple and acid yellow; Pamela Anderson in a regal gown to top off her '60s press run style.

Pubisher and Spider-Man Set to Clash in Reported Major Action Scene For SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY — GeekTyrant

The web-slinger is about to go head-to-head with Marvel's most brutal vigilante. With production kicking off on Spider-Man: Brand New Day in Glasgow, Scotland, new intel teases a major confrontation between Spider-Man and The Punisher . According to insider Daniel Richtman, fans can expect a high-stakes brawl involving a Department of Damage Control (DODC) convoy. "I heard that tomorrow they'll be filming a big action scene with Punisher and Spider-Man fighting over a DODC transport convoy," Richtman revealed. If Frank Castle is gunning for someone in that transport, it's likely someone he sees as deserving his lethal brand of justice. Naturally, Peter Parker won't let that happen on his watch. This DODC connection ties neatly into what we've seen in previous MCU Spider-Man films, where the organization has played a significant role in cleanup and containment. The presence of their convoy implies whatever or whoever they're transporting is a big deal. So who's in the crosshairs? Rumors range from Bruce Banner to Mister Negative, or even a smaller-time threat like Boomerang. Recent set photos show a military-style vehicle that might be DODC property. Some fans have pointed out a devilish logo on the side, which could hint at Mister Negative's Inner Demons making an appearance. Word is The Punisher will be behind the wheel of one of these armored rides. As filming kicks off, early reports suggest rehearsals are happening ahead of a full shoot on Sunday. So while we haven't seen Tom Holland in costume just yet, it's only a matter of time before Spidey swings into action. We did get a tease of the costume, though! And while bringing The Punisher into Spider-Man's world is a big and exciting move, don't hold your breath for Charlie Cox's Daredevil to join the mix just yet. That team-up might be off the table for now. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to hit theaters July 31, 2026.
