Benson Boone is enjoying a particularly exciting week on the airwaves in the United States, as three of his songs are currently present on various radio-focused rankings. Each tune has its own momentum, with several of them enticing audiences and exciting them for his sophomore album American Heart, which arrives tomorrow (Friday, June 20).
Nearly two months after its mid-April release, American Heart single "Mystical Magical" is just starting to reveal its staying power. This frame, the tune debuts on multiple Billboard tallies, suggesting its life on the charts may be just beginning.
"Mystical Magical" lands on two of Billboard's three pop radio rankings this week, just as excitement surrounding American Heart hits its peak. The track premieres at No. 37 on the Pop Airplay chart and No. 36 on the Adult Pop Airplay list, giving Boone his sixth career placement on each of those rankings.
For now, the track is absent from the Adult Contemporary chart — the third of the three pop airplay tallies — but that ranking typically moves more slowly than the others, so it could still be a win in the future.
Seven weeks after its initial debut on other rankings, "Mystical Magical" also hits new peaks on four Billboard charts simultaneously. The track climbs to previously unseen highs on the Hot 100, Streaming Songs chart, and both of the company's worldwide rankings at the same time. It's a huge week for the American Heart cut, which slips on just one tally, the Digital Song Sales chart. After spending a month as a bestseller, the track appears ready to depart the list.
As "Mystical Magical" gains traction on the airwaves, Boone's previous single "Sorry I'm Here for Someone Else" earns new peaks on three of the four radio charts it appears on. The track breaks into the top 10 for the first time on the all-genre Radio Songs list, and narrowly misses hitting No. 1 on the Adult Pop Airplay chart, falling short by just one space.
Meanwhile, Boone's breakout smash "Beautiful Things" remains a strong performer at radio more than a year after it debuted. The track continues to dominate the Adult Contemporary chart, holding at No. 1 67 weeks into its run. It also inches up to No. 15 on the Radio Songs list, nearly giving Boone a pair of top 10 hits on one of Billboard's most competitive rosters.

Melissa Fumero Opens Up About Grosse Pointe Garden Society's Cancellation: ‘I'll Forever Be Proud of What We Made'

Melissa Fumero is mourning the cancellation of Grosse Pointe Garden Society after the dramedy was axed by NBC after just one season. The actress took time on Saturday to say goodbye to her character via Instagram. 'Oh, Birdie. You were one for the books,' she wrote. 'You felt like an amalgamation of every role I've ever played. I'll miss so many things about this job, but most of all I will miss the incredible group of humans it brought together. I won't miss the shoes. It's really hard to make a show. Even harder to keep it on air. I'll forever be proud of what we made. Thanks for watching.' 'I've said it before and I'll say it again. Showbiz ain't for the faint of heart,' he wrote. 'Our beloved Grosse Pointe Garden Society was canceled today. I'll sure miss working with these (and all of our) amazing folks every day. This was a special one.' Grosse Pointe Garden Society's cancellation came after NBC opted to relocate the series following its first three episodes; it switched from Sundays at 10/9c to Fridays at 8 pm. The dramedy, which hailed from Jenna Bans (Desperate Housewives, Scandal, Good Girls) and Bill Krebs (No Tomorrow, Good Girls), followed four suburban gardeners: Birdie (played by Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Melissa Fumero), Catherine (Lessons in Chemistry's Aja Naomi King), Brett (For the People's Ben Rappaport) and Alice (The Carrie Diaries' AnnaSophia Robb). But the ragtag group of gardeners wasn't just planting your garden-variety gardenias — they were also covering up a death. Thoughts on the cancellation? Eulogize in the comments below.
