This road will connect the Nashik-Pune Highway (NH-60) with the Ahilyanagar-Shirdi corridor (NH-160), facilitating improved goods transport and traffic flow.At the ceremony in Loni, Rahata taluka, Gadkari said, "This project will help fast-track transport, generate employment, and encourage agricultural, industrial, and tourism growth in the district."
The event was attended by minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, former minister Annasaheb Mhaske, MPs Bhausaheb Wakchaure and Rajabhau Waje, alongside other local officials.During the event Gadkari revealed plans to expand the Nandur Shingote–Kasare Road to four lanes before the 2027 Nashik Kumbh Mela to accommodate increased traffic.
