H&M HAS taken drastic action in three major stores as staff are now fitted with bodycams in a desperate bid to deter shoplifters.
The popular fashion store is the latest retailer to give its UK staff body cameras to help stop shoplifting and protect workers from attacks.

The Swedish clothing giant revealed it had been testing the new technology, according to the Mail on Sunday.
The high street brand follows big names like Tesco, the Co-op, and Lidl, all of which have introduced bodycams for their staff.
These major retailers said they were forced to take action because the police had failed to respond.
Shoplifting rose by 20 per cent from last year, with violent and abusive incidents reported around 2,000 times daily.

Criminals - often in organised gangs - have been stealing goods in full view of staff and shoppers, knowing they're unlikely to face any consequences.
High street retailers urge their staff not to intervene, fearing they could be attacked.
Workers have faced racial and sexual insults, physical threats, spitting, and in some cases, physical violence.
H&M will trial the new bodycams in stores in Edinburgh, Wood Green, and Beckton in London.

A spokesman for the firm said: "We're testing this new technology in a three-store pilot to assess what beneficial impact it may have, along with proper staff customer service training, on de-escalating and reducing incidents for the safety of both our colleagues and customers."
The cameras will be worn on staff uniforms and will record distressing incidents to provide police with video evidence.

Superdrug have also issued police-style bodycams and headsets to staff amid soaring levels of violence by shoplifting thugs.
Abuse and attacks on shop workers rocketed 50 per cent from 870 to 1,300 incidents-a-day last year, according to a leading trade body.

Stores are resorting to desperate measures after the British Retail Consortium blasted 'woefully inadequate' government action to tackle the High Street 'crisis'.
The consortium's survey also revealed shoplifting has more than doubled to 16.7 million incidents in the past year, up from eight million.
They added: "The cost of theft has soared to almost £1 billion a year."
A poll earlier this year found one in six staff workers were physically attacked by abusive customers.

It comes after Greggs armed staff with body cameras after a surge in thieving sausage roll scoffers and attacks.
And shoplifting offences have gone past half a million in a year for the first time.

How to save money at B&M Shoppers have saved hundreds of pounds a year by using B&M's scanner app. The scanner lets you see if an item's price is cheaper than advertised on the shop floor label. Products that are typically discounted are seasonal items and old stock that B&M is trying to shift. The app is free to download off the B&M Stores mobile app via Google Play or the Apple App Store. According to one ex-B&M manager, you'll want to visit your local branch at 10am on a Wednesday too. Here's how you can join the B&M bargain hunt: Download the B&M app for free on any smartphone with an App Store or Google Play. Once you've installed it on your device, click on the option labelled "more" on the bottom, right-hand side of the app home page. You'll then find an option that says "barcode scanner". Click on this and you'll open a camera screen. Use the camera to hover over the barcode of the product you wish to check. If the price comes up as lower, take it to the cash desk and it will automatically scan at the lower price. You don't need to sign up to the B&M app to use the barcode scanner. Or for just 50p extra, you can opt for a plain cream plate with black lining and bow detailing. Shopper reactions B&M customers shared their excitement for the new items in the comments section. "Love love love," wrote one impressed viewer. Another shopper said they were "obsessed" with the new buys on offer. A third person tagged their friend, saying: "We need to gooooo." More B&M buys Other B&M shoppers picked up toys for as little as £1 as they already look ahead to Christmas. And the retailer also recently launched its own Specialbuys sale to rival Aldi. One shopper used B&M buys to transform their rental garden on a budget.

Three words sum up the Welsh version of the viral M&S strawberry and creme sandwich

Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Over the past few weeks, my social media feeds have been filled with strawberries and cream, whether that's the famous Wimbledon treat or the viral Marks & Spencer sweet sandwich, which seems to have everyone talking. The Marks & Spencer Red Diamond Strawberry & Creme sweetened sandwich has taken the internet by storm. The supermarket giant's unusual desert sarnie is its take on a Japanese classic. The furutsu sando is dessert made up of fresh whipped cream and fruit sandwiched between Japanese milk bread. While everybody raves about the supermarket version, an independent street food vendor at Cardiff's indoor market has been selling the sweet treat long before M&S. For the latest restaurant news and reviews, sign up to our food and drink newsletter here Tokyo Nights has been serving Japanese inspired street food in Cardiff Market since 2022. One item on their menu is the strawberry and cream sando, also inspired by the Japanese furutsu sando. To see which had the better fresh dessert between the two, I picked up both and taste tested them myself. Initially comparing the two I was set back by the stark difference in appearance. The Tokyo Nights version looks much more appetising. (Image: Taite Johnson) It was easy to see which of the two had been mass produced and which had been made fresh that morning with the cream bursting out of the bread at Tokyo Nights and the M&S sando looking uniformly structured. Let's start with the M&S Strawberry & Creme sweetened bread sandwich coming in at £2.80. Unlike the other sandwiches in the fridge, this one only came with half of the sandwich leaving me slightly disappointed especially at almost £3. (Image: Taite Johnson) The sweetened bread had a green tint to it and the cream was stiff but the red strawberries helped make it look more desirable. Tucking in the first thing I noticed was the the overpowering thickness of the bread that was claggy, tasting processed. I was not expecting the strawberries to taste so fresh, being cut and packaged but to my surprise they were sweet. Unlike the strawberries, the cream whilst soft was not fresh, tasting almost stale. (Image: Taite Johnson) Moving on to Tokyo Nights at £3.50 where it was a completely different story. Served only on a Friday and a Saturday, the strawberry and cream sando from Tokyo Nights is served as a full sandwich cut in half and wrapped in cling film. Even though the cling film meant that it was easily squashed, I was happy to see two halves which left me feeling full after. Just holding the dessert I could feel the softness of the sweetened bread and watched the overflowing filling burst out of the sides of the sando. Whilst the strawberries were firm and juicy, there were not enough of them within the sandwich to get a strong taste of strawberry flavour. The star of the show for the fruit sando from the independent was the light and fluffy cream that felt as if it had been prepared that morning. To me £3.50 for a a substantial dessert is a decent price, especially for an independent restaurant. Of both the strawberries and cream sandwiches, if you can't already tell, my favourite was the Tokyo Nights sando. The three words that sum my reaction to it? Get me another.
