General education minister V Sivankutty said headmasters will be held responsible if they upload wrong UID details. Schools must upload student information after the sixth working day of the academic year. Since schools in Kerala reopened on June 2, the sixth working day is June 10.
Schools were expected to upload student strength details by 5pm on Tuesday.
However, many couldn't complete the task because they had only reopened for six days and several of those were lost to holidays caused by natural disasters. Staff appointments will be based on student strength reported on the sixth working day. Still, the education minister's office clarified that no student should be denied admission for not submitting a UID.
Headmasters must attest the sixth working day reports and send them to assistant education officers and district education officers. These officers will forward the reports to the district joint directors, who must then send them to the statistics section of the director of general education.

SFI, Yuva Morcha clash in Kozhikode over Bharat Mata controversy
KOZHIKODE: The Yuva Morcha workers who staged a black flag protest against General Education Minister V Sivankutty in Kozhikode over the Bharat Mata controversy were stopped by the SFI workers and ended in a clash. On Saturday morning, Yuva Morcha workers showed black flags when the minister arrived at the Jubilee Hall in Tali to attend a programme related to the SFI national conference. However, in the meantime, SFI workers who were present there clashed with Yuva Morcha activists. Following this, the police intervened and detained the workers. Later, when Fraternity workers came to protest there in connection with the Plus One seat crisis, the SFI workers stopped them, and a clash broke out. The police intervened and took both groups away.
