Two ‘incredible' new professional dancers join Strictly Come Dancing cast

American-born Alexis Warr and Australian-born Julian Caillon will join the hit dance competition series as it returns to BBC One and iPlayer this autumn. Warr, who is best known for winning the US dance series So You Think You Can Dance in 2022 and was crowned America's favourite dancer, became the first female ballroom and Latin dancer to claim the title. On joining Strictly Come Dancing, Warr said: 'I've admired Strictly for years, so joining this incredible family is such an honour. 'I can't wait to step into the ballroom, pour my heart into every moment, and share my love of dance with the UK.' Caillon, who specialises in ballroom and Latin American, has appeared as a professional dancer for three seasons of Australia's version of Strictly Come Dancing, titled Australia's Dancing With The Stars. He said: 'Joining the cast of Strictly really is a dream come true. 'I've watched it for years, especially cheering on all the amazing dancers I know and work with who've been part of it. 'I can't wait to get stuck in, have some fun, and be part of something special!' The newcomers will join the current cast of professional dancers, which includes Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer and Katya Jones. Neil Jones will also return in the autumn along with Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk and Jowita Przystal. The new series, hosted by recent MBE recipients, Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly, will also welcome back Johannes Radebe, Aljaz Skorjanec, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas and Vito Coppola. Warr and Caillon will join the professionals each week for group routines, music acts, theme weeks and Strictly's annual trip to Blackpool. Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas will also return to the judging panel. Sarah James, executive producer at BBC Studios, said: 'We've been big fans of Alexis and Julian for some time, so it's with great excitement that we now welcome them both to the Strictly family. 'They're two incredible dancers with bright futures ahead of them, and we know viewers are going to love getting to know them both.' Kalpna Patel-Knight, head of entertainment at the BBC, added: 'Alexis and Julian are the perfect additions to Strictly, and we can't wait for you to see them light up the ballroom this autumn. 'With our fantastic professional dancers, plus everything else we love about Strictly, the new series promises to be bigger, better and even more glitter-packed than ever before.' The news comes after the series faced a string of incidents this year, including Welsh tenor and former BBC Radio Wales presenter, Wynne Evans, being dropped by the broadcaster after he made an apology saying that he used 'inappropriate language' during the launch of the Strictly Come Dancing tour. Months later, EastEnders star James Borthwick was also suspended from the BBC after a video emerged of the actor using a disabled slur on the set of the dance programme. Strictly Come Dancing will return to BBC One and iPlayer this autumn.

Tina O'Brien 'head over heels' for new man as she shows him off at Jack P Shepherd's wedding

The Corrie favourite was spotted looking very loved up at the wedding of her on-screen brother. Jack P Shepherd's wedding yesterday was a day for love and romance - but not just for the groom. His on-screen sister Tina O'Brien looked loved up as she showed off her new man at the event. ‌ Tina, who plays Sarah-Louise Platt in Coronation Street, was one of the guests at the lavish do at Manchester Cathedral yesterday. And she packed on the PDA with her new beau when leaving the afterparty. ‌ As seen in our sister title The Mirror, Tina and Adam Fadle, 38, shared a big snog on the street outside after deciding to call it a night. And an insider has claimed the actress, 41, is "head over heels" for Adam. ‌ There were plenty of cobbles favourites in attendance as Jack, who plays David Platt, tied the knot with Hanni Treweek in a romantic ceremony. As well as Tina, Lucy Fallon, Colson Smith, and Ben Price were there to celebrate the happy couple. And the groom's on-screen mum Helen Worth beamed as she walked towards the venue with her husband. The wedding came just over a year after Jack proposed to Hanni during a romantic safari trip in Tanzania. The couple had been colleagues on the popular soap before their relationship blossomed. ‌ And Tina certainly enjoyed her day celebrating her soap star pal. Wearing a blue and white floral dress, which she paired with a white handbag, she looked stunning. New man Adam looked very dapper in a white button-up shirt and a navy blue suit. The pair were "all over each other" throughout the celebrations, according to an insider, and after they left the lavish do hand-in-hand, they stopped in the street to share a big smooch. ‌ The source told The Mirror: "There was no mistaking they were an item on the day. Tina looked very much smitten with Adam. "She looked radiant and everyone that saw them could see how besotted with each other they were. They were all over each other." ‌ Speaking about their growing relationship, the insider added: "Tina dotes on him - she loves that he's very calm and is a real gentleman, in every way. She's head over heels. This is no flash in the pan relationship, they're getting serious." Tina was previously married to another Adam, personal trainer Adam Crofts. But the couple, who share a son, split after six years of marriage. According to insiders, Tina had simply fallen "out of love" with her husband and "fallen in love" with new Adam, a design guru who has worked for Paul Pogba. ‌ Adam refurbished the former Manchester United star's home in Cheshire shortly after he made the move to the Red Devils. The home appears in the designer's portfolio on the Panoramic Properties website. Jack first met Hanni when his now-bride appeared on Corrie, later going on to work as a storyline writer for the soap. ‌ However, sparks didn't fly until they met at a friend's wedding sometime later. Jack said: "We got chatting, I made Hanni laugh, we had a couple of drinks and we flirted. That was it." Later that year, a chance meeting at a supermarket sparked their courtship. Despite Jack describing it as awkward, the meeting led to a long-lasting relationship. Hanni was worried about her looks at the time but Jack was totally taken with her. He said: "I actually thought she looked fit. I just saw the girl I fancy wearing lycra! We quickly went on our first date and we just clicked." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Katie Price's boyfriend JJ Slater urges bankrupt star to 'sort her finances' as he issues 'ultimatum' after split rumours

Katie Price 's boyfriend JJ Slater has reportedly given their relationship 'ultimatum' to force the former glamour model to 'sort her finances' after split rumours. The former glamour model has been involved in a stop-start relationship with Slater since publicly confirming they were romantically involved last February. But she prompted inevitable speculation regarding her current relationship status after reshuffling her social media platform to prioritise pictures that focus on her children and passion for horse-riding. Katie, 46, also drew attention to her easter pantomime role in Pinocchio - in which she plays a fairy - as well as promotional photos and videos for CBD oil and niche, online fashion retailers. And now friends close to the couple have told The Mirror JJ has given the personality an ultimatum and has to 'start taking accountability for her finances'. A source said the publication: 'JJ has had enough of all the drama' 'Katie isn't responsible with money and has been struggling with the moving situation, which JJ feels she sometimes takes out on him. 'He has given Katie an ultimatum, explaining that she needs to start taking accountability for her finances and get her ducks in a row – if they're to have a real chance together.' Katie is notably absent from his Instagram platform, with the first visible photo of the model seemingly shared last November. Despite a clear shift in tone across social media, sources have denied claims of another rift in their relationship. A source told MailOnline: 'It's not true.' The couple began dating in early 2024 and even sparked speculation of an engagement after Katie was pictured wearing a diamond while recovering from her sixth facelift in Turkey last year. Price recently admitted she wouldn't date someone who has 'only slept with two or three' women as she likes to know a man has 'been around the block'. The model has had a number of high-profile romances over the years - including a marriage to Peter Andre, a relationship with footballer Dwight Yorke and a cheeky kiss with Simon Cowell. And now friends close to the couple have told The Mirror JJ has given the personality an ultimatum and has to 'start taking accountability for her finances' Katie has reshuffled her social media platform to prioritise pictures that focus on her children and passion for horse-riding Likewise, Katie is notably absent from his Instagram platform, despite the London based designer previously peppering his grid with photos of the ex-glamour model And in a recent interview on the Disruptors Podcast, Price laid bare exactly what she likes in a man. 'I like to know they've been around the block,' she remarked. 'I'd rather a man know what they're doing. If someone hadn't had many, I wouldn't really like that - isn't that weird! 'I'll ask them: "Do you know how many you've slept with and that?" Price was also asked what the 'minimum number' of girls she would like a potential boyfriend to have slept with is. She said: 'When I was younger, I'd be jealous but I think because I'm at my age, I just think if a man's been there, done it, knows what they want - they're more settled in their head aren't they. 'Imagine if it's like two or three girls [a man's body count], they don't even know what they're doing. 'My friends say "Katie, you're gross, that's disgusting, why would you want a man that's been everywhere" and I'm just like, I'd rather it.
