Hebrew media: PM spokesman intends to resign after disagreements with Netanyahu's wife

Israeli Channel 13 reported, citing a source in Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office, that the prime minister's spokesman intends to submit his resignation after disagreements with Netanyahu's wife.
According to Hebrew media, senior officials in Netanyahu's office treat Sara as the de facto prime minister, dubbing her "The Boss." She has a team of Likud activists who work to fulfill her orders and carry out any task she assigns them.
At the same time, the occupation forces continue their comprehensive aggression on the Gaza Strip, since October 7, 2023, leaving tens of thousands killed and hundreds of thousands injured.

CAIRO, July 5 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty held a phone call with his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan, reaffirming the strength of relations and the historical and fraternal bonds between the two nations. They praised the significant growth of these ties under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The ministers stated that such developing relations are reflected in distinguished cooperation and ongoing coordination between the two countries across all areas of bilateral cooperation, as well as on regional and international files of mutual concern. The call comes as part of the ongoing coordination and the eternal fraternal relations between Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The call reflected harmony in visions and stances between the two sisterly countries and their shared desire to further strengthen bilateral relations and work towards political and diplomatic solutions to the crises affecting the region and the world. Both ministers discussed developments in the region, particularly the Palestinian cause and the catastrophic situation in the Gaza Strip and addressed ongoing efforts to resume a ceasefire in Gaza. Abdelatty highlighted Egypt's intensive communications with all parties to reach a ceasefire and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. They also discussed the upcoming conference on the early recovery and reconstruction of Gaza, which Egypt plans to host in cooperation with the United Nations and the Palestinian government once a ceasefire is achieved. The ministers reviewed intensive communications underway to solidify the ceasefire between Iran and Israel and resume negotiations on Iran's nuclear program in a manner that contributes to de-escalation and the achievement of calm. They also exchanged views on developments in Sudan and the Levant (Arab Mashreq) region. The ministers agreed to continue consultations and coordination to serve mutual interests and support security and stability in the region, in line with the directives of their countries' leaderships. Egypt steps up diplomatic push to cement Iran-Israel ceasefire - Foreign Affairs

Egypt's foreign minister held a series of high-level diplomatic calls on Friday and Saturday to cement a ceasefire between Iran and Israel, following directives from President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to intensify regional and international engagement for de-escalation and stability in the Middle East. Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for the Middle East Steve Wietkoff, and Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), according to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry. The discussions focused on the urgent need for coordinated regional and international efforts to solidify the Iran-Israel ceasefire and resume diplomatic negotiations toward a sustainable resolution of the Iranian nuclear file. The aim is to address regional concerns peacefully and achieve lasting de-escalation and reduced tensions. Officials praised Egypt's diplomatic efforts to ease regional tensions and its role in bridging gaps between conflicting parties. They underscored Egypt's ability to foster mutual understanding and build common ground that serves the interests of all sides during this critical period, reinforcing regional security and stability. In a separate call, Abdelatty and Wietkoff discussed developments related to ceasefire negotiations in Gaza, the release of hostages and detainees, and the urgent need for full humanitarian access to the besieged enclave. They also reviewed preparations for indirect talks between the parties aimed at a comprehensive agreement. Abdelatty also highlighted Egypt's ongoing preparations to host an international conference on early recovery and reconstruction in Gaza, to be convened immediately after a ceasefire agreement is reached.
