Lewis Capaldi plays secret set at Glastonbury
Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi has stepped on to Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage for a secret set, two years after a performance at the festival saw him struggle to manage his Tourette symptoms.
The crowd started chanting 'oh Lewis Capaldi' before he began playing the hit song Before You Go to kick-off his set, which had been listed as 'TBA' on the Glastonbury website.
The musician, who announced a break from touring shortly after his performance at the festival in 2023, has just released a new song called Survive.

"Because it means that it's real but for those who don't already know our beloved brother Darren Maguire passed away on Saturday, 11th January. "He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. I'm still in so much shock. "I can barely form a sentence, but I know the world has lost one of its most beloved people and I have lost my best friend. Yet his character was forced to quit Grange Hill school in 1991 when his step-dad secured a job in Germany. While he was stopped from taking his own life by girlfriend Mandy, he blamed her for ruining his life and fled to Ireland. Sean became a pop star after leaving EastEnders, scoring eight top 30 hits including Good Day which peaked at number 12 in the UK. And he joined the cast of Scott & Bailey in 2012. Sean swapped grey Britain for sunny California in 2000 and became a US citizen just in time to vote in the presidential election. His career has gone from strength to strength in the States. He played the lead role in 300 parody Meet The Spartans, starred alongside Kevin Hart in fantasy comedy Krod Mandoon, and took over the part of Robin Hood in ABC's Once Upon A Time. The Scot suffered from tics and struggled to finish his hit Somebody You Loved, and soon after announced a break to get his "physical and mental health in order" and "adjust to the impact" of his Tourette's diagnosis. But the 28-year-old made a return to the festival on Friday night, drawing a big crowd despite not having been on the initial lineup. He said: "Glastonbury, it's so good to be back. "I'm not going to say much up here today because if I did I might start crying." And fans watching on TV spotted a nod to the star's favourite football team Celtic, as cameras showed spare guitar plectrums featuring the four-leaf clover seen on the Hoops' badge. The crowd in attendance reacted positively to the set, singing along in moments Capaldi rested his voice and chanting his name. The Someone You Loved singer struggled to finish his set last timeout, with his voice faltering in a touching message to the crowd. At the time, he told them: "Glastonbury, I'm really sorry. I'm a bit annoyed with myself." The crowd soon took over the vocals of Someone You Loved. "I feel like I'll be taking another wee break over the next couple of weeks. A source attending Glastonbury told the Mirror: 'I heard him say 'really pleased he is here and I wish him well" Lewis' return comes hours after he released a new song called Survive. As he shared a post on Instagram announcing the new tune, he captioned it: "It's been a while." The new song is full of emotion with lyrics including lines such as "I swear to God I'll survive" and "I'm going to get up and live until the day that I die." It marks his first new release since stepping out of the spotlight because of his mental health. And as he performed it to the Glastonbury crowd he cried as he began to sing. He revealed that his one goal was to get back on stage at Glastonbury as he paid tribute to the fans. At the end of the song, he struggled to get through the track, with the emotion clearly a lot for him as he sang those final words with passion.
