This guide will lead you through the important areas of Nightreign Castle, concentrating on how to get the most out of your journeys and slay the castle's deadly denizens.
The Castle's Hidden Basement–An Important Launching Pad
When first visiting Nightreign Castle, players will be quickly impressed by the lower levels of the castle fortress, most notably the castle dungeon. To unlock this world, travel to the jellyfish's riverbank home and discover a secret route that takes you deep inside.
Before you go in, be sure to grab the Boost Rune Acquisition buff from the small tree nearby. This is important because you'll use this early on your journey to increase the amount of runes you gain by defeating enemies.

The basement is both the residence of countless deadly foes and a central location for advancement. A challenging boss awaits you in those depths, and though that sounds daunting, it is indeed very beatable by Day 2 of your quest if you're on a level of 5 or 6.
Negating this giant boss unlocks a fog gate, granting admittance to another chamber with a red talisman automobile chest. Fair warning as you start to claim your jet set premiums, a new menace may be hiding on the rung, so jump smart.
A Reward Well-Deserved
Once you've taken down the basement boss and eliminated the first wave of enemies, make your way upstairs to the second floor of the castle. Here you'll find a hidden treasure chest with a Dormant Power orb, allowing your whole team to choose from three random talismans in between rounds.

Talismans first introduced talismans into The Lands Between, granting powerful buffs to your character, making you more formidable for the fights to come.
Make sure to pick carefully though, as the benefits each of these talismans offer can significantly change how you would tackle combat.
Knights: A Staggering Obstacle
Once you've got the talisman, it's time to unlock the gate and face off against the minions lurking on the castle ramparts. If you're unfortunate enough to run into Banished Knights or Crucible Knights, it's best to begin on the bottom floor and build upward.
It's worth pushing past the initial grunts toward these elite enemies which drop huge swaths of runes when defeated, a major boon to your build progression. If Giant trolls show up instead, the plan needs to be adjusted.
Start your climb from the roof of the castle so you're not subjected to the worst devastation by their super lethal pot smash attacks.
Elden Ring Nightreign: Full Wylder Remembrance Questline (Complete Guide) - All Unlocks & Rewards
So whether you're fighting knights or giants, keep in mind that taking down these hard enemies will earn you some powerful Dormant Power orbs.
These orbs are key to unlocking more destructive potential for your character, so resist the urge to avoid the fights.
The last stage of your tour through Nightreign Castle takes you to a crumbled wall at the top of the castle. You'll have to jump and climb up this decaying building to get to the roof, where this final boss awaits you. Train well, fearless adventurers, for this brutal beast will push you to your very limits and only the most badass of explorers will make it out unscathed.
Just like every other battle in the game, it's best to come into this fight prepared, making sure you have plenty of healing items and are equipped for a long-term battle. Beating this boss will signal the end of your journey through the castle, and you'll be rewarded with a huge sum of runes and a chance to earn more Dormant Power orbs.
Rewards
Nightreign Castle is filled with challenging foes and powerful bosses. If you clear out the castle's enemies and defeat its fearsome bosses, Nightreign Castle is sure to reward players with valuable loot.
The most significant goodies primarily consist of the talismans, which provide switch-on-a-dime, game-altering buffs, and Dormant Power orbs, which increase your combat strength. If you're really good at killing all foes (even the toughest elite Banished and Crucible Knights), you can get more than 300,000 runes in just 1 expedition.
