RITZ Welcomes Fans to the RITZ Salty Club in Its Debut Big Game Spot

In the commercial, comedic duo and IRL friends Michael Shannon and Aubrey Plaza unleash their salty sides — and get a surprise visit from RITZ superfan Bad Bunny.
EAST HANOVER, N.J., Feb. 7, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- As America's favorite cracker1, RITZ has cemented itself as a game day staple for over 90 years. In recent years, RITZ has continued to show up in unexpected and innovative ways, making the iconic cracker one of the fastest-growing salty snack brands2. Today, RITZ is serving up its first-ever Big Game commercial tapping into its saltiness — both literally and figuratively.
After confirming its Big Game debut in December, the salty snack brand invites fans to the 'RITZ Salty Club,' a lounge located in Utah's salt flats that hosts some of the saltiest personalities out there. The 30-second spot, expected to air during the first quarter, was shot in New York on November 20, 2024.
'The Big Game offers a unique opportunity to catapult a brand to new heights,' said Tanya Berman, Mondelēz Senior Vice President Biscuit. 'We're showing up like never before, bringing a lighthearted approach to the biggest stage, which we hope will get snackers across the country buzzing about RITZ.'
At RITZ, salty isn't just a flavor. It represents the bold, fun, and lovable side of the brand that brings everyone together – especially on game day. In the spot, Aubrey Plaza and Michael Shannon share witty banter about their famously salty personas and, of course, the deliciously salted, buttery goodness of RITZ Crackers.
As they exchange quips, the celeb duo encounters their 'salty brethren,' including a disinterested teen glued to her phone and a resentful toll booth operator. Sprinkled among the RITZ Salty Club members are salt-inspired Easter eggs, like a 'NO SMILING ALLOWED' sign, a RITZ-shaped ice sculpture, and glowing salt lamps.
In an unexpected twist for all, global music phenomenon and lifelong RITZ fan Bad Bunny appears, happily snacking on his favorite cracker and enthusiastically exclaiming, 'I love them!' — causing Plaza and Shannon to playfully reprimand him for exhibiting behavior that doesn't align with the RITZ Salty Club's rules.
Following some hesitation, Plaza and Shannon learn that Bad Bunny has a salty side after all, and they come together to agree on one thing: the great taste of RITZ crackers brings everyone together, even the saltiest.
The spot was created by The Martin Agency, Gifted Youth, and PXP, and was directed by Jake Szymanski, who is no stranger to bringing tongue-in-cheek comedy to Big Game ads. The team's unexpected approach ushers RITZ into a new era of creativity and cultural relevance while staying true to its roots as the snack that gathers people around the table.

3 ways to enjoy Tales of the Cocktail, even if you're not an industry insider

New Orleans will be abuzz this week as bartenders, liquor companies, distributors and influencers land in the city for the annual spirits industry conference known as Tales of the Cocktail. Why it matters: The massive event is an important foundation for New Orleans' hospitality during the dog days of summer, plus it's a great opportunity for cocktail lovers to learn more about what's new on the market. The big picture: Founded here, TOTC stretches over a week every July, filling conference rooms at the Ritz-Carlton and bars and restaurants around the city with tastings, panels, presentations and lots and lots of parties. Between official conference events and the myriad parties that brands host alongside it, there are hundreds of opportunities to knock one back while learning something new. By the numbers: The more than 400 individual events for the conference last year provided the city with a $24.8 million economic boost, a press release says, with a 10% year-over-year attendee increase. Between the lines: TOTC caters to industry insiders, but there is still plenty of fun for the average, 21+ consumer to check out. Here are our picks for how anyone can enjoy Tales of the Cocktail, which runs July 20-25. 🍸 Have a taste: If you like to be on the frontlines of what's new, then TOTC tasting rooms are the place to be. Spirits brands take over meeting space at the Ritz all week for tasting events, where brand reps pour samples of their products and share details about how they're made, what they pair well with and other insights. You don't need a full conference pass to attend them. You can buy a Tasting Pass for a single day ($45) or the whole week ($175). Pro tip: If you only go one day, make it Thursday, a conference rep tells us. "The Tasting Room Pass will get you into Meet the Distillers, a fan-favorite experience where you can sample spirits and meet the makers behind them," she says. 📍 Take a tour: As the originator of multiple cocktails, New Orleans is the perfect place to learn more about them, and during TOTC, you can take tours to explore their origins. This year's Tales tours include conversations about the Ramos gin fizz, brandy and bourbon, and gay bars. Tickets are $65. 🐷 Pig out: Pig & Punch is TOTC's last hurrah on Friday, a lively party that puts a bow on an already wild week. The event, hosted by The Bon Vivants, raises money for various charitable causes and includes drinks from guest bartenders and food from Hogs for the Cause. Access is included with tasting passes, a rep says, or tickets can be purchased individually for $44.

‘We Do Not Care' goes viral: the menopausal mantra that's resonating with millions

If you haven't already encountered Sanders — if five friends haven't texted you 'OMG THIS IS ME!!!' — stop right here, listen to her say the word 'care,' in an accent that's been described as 'zero f's,' and then resume reading. Get Love Letters: The Newsletter A weekly dispatch with all the best relationship content and commentary – plus exclusive content for fans of Love Letters, Dinner With Cupid, weddings, therapy talk, and more. Enter Email Sign Up It would be an understatement to say that Sanders' audience has been waiting for her. In the two months since that cri de coeur , she's gained 2.5 million new followers; landed a talent manager; started paid collaborations with Mattress Firm and Dove; and has either begun a movement, or given name to one that's been silently, angrily, building since, well, probably since forever. Advertisement 'I love her so much,' said Advertisement On social media, the millions of likes and comments on her posts are a window into an exhausted and resentful stew of emotions. 'We do not care if our coworkers think we are passive-aggressive,' read a comment on Instagram. 'The only other option I can offer at this time is aggressive-aggressive.' 'We do not care that we just got home from the grocery store and order pizza,' read another. 'We do not feel like cooking. We are tired from the grocery shopping.' 'We do not care if we're out of band aids.' a Facebook fan wrote. 'Use a maxi pad. We no longer need them.' Sanders, who is a mother and a wife, and who often appears on camera rocking a neck pillow, a sleep mask around her neck, and a napkin tucked into her shirt, takes aim at a range of antagonists. 'We do not care if we said we wanted to hang out soon, that probably was said when we was happy; we are no longer in a happy mood,' Sanders says in one post. 'We do not care if we don't show up for the family cookout. Most of y'all have undiagnosed trauma that we honestly just don't want to deal with right now.' Many women repeat Sanders 'we do not care' tagline to themselves in almost a self-soothing way, and the mantra has been compared to Mel Robbins's 'It's 'Let Them',' said WROR's Falcone, but behind their back, 'you're flipping them the bird.' Advertisement The We Do Not Care Club has arrived at a time when many women feel under particular attack, with the Even so, the unapologetic behavior Sanders describes sounds so radical that one club member called it 'aspirational.' As extreme as the not-caring sounds, the behavior, at its core, is simply about 'setting boundaries, and having compassion for yourself,' said psychiatrist The videos are resonating with women in middle age and beyond, she said, because they have 'lived the full cost' of putting their own needs last. 'They've seen that wearing the heels, or whatever they are doing, because they think it will make people like them, or they'll get the promotion, doesn't necessarily work. It just makes life harder for them.' Margie Lachman, a psychology professor at Brandeis University, says Sanders's We Do Not Care Club has gone viral not only because she's found a catchy way to describe how millions of women feel, but because it makes women feel like they are part of something. 'The fact that it's a 'club' is really meaningful,' she said, 'because this is a time when people are looking for support and validation.' Indeed, Sanders's talent manager, 'She also has a super exciting project in the works,' said Granados, who didn't provide details, but did share that she and Sanders had such an instant connection that on their first call they ended up professing their love for each other through tears. Advertisement So ingrained are societal messages that sometimes, or maybe it's often, the judgment is coming from inside your own brain. Consider Kristina Tsipouras Miller, the founder of the Who cares! she thought joyfully. Until she remembered. 'I said to my husband, '20-year-old Kristina would not have wanted to be seen with me',' she recalled. But now, to channel Sanders, if you do not like that we are comfortable, we do not care. I Visit Disney World Every Year. Here's What I Pack.,

I've been to Disney World more times than I can count — and if there's one thing I've learned, it's that the right packing list can make or break your Disney trip. You don't need to overdo it, but you do need to plan smart. As you prepare yourself for everything from that hot Florida heat to sporadic rainstorms and long lines to nightly fireworks, remember that your day at Disney is a marathon, not a sprint. The goal? Maximize magic, minimize meltdowns. Over the years, I've fine-tuned my go-to gear for a stress-free Disney park experience. These are the items I actually bring in my backpack or wear in the parks — tested by long walking days, character meet and greets, and riding every roller coaster. Whether it's a portable charger that won't die by noon or a neck fan that saves you from a heat-induced spiral, here's what I'd pack to make the most out of every Disney day. Stay cool no matter how hot it gets with a neck fan Florida heat doesn't play around, and this bladeless neck fan will cool you down. It rests comfortably around your neck like headphones, blowing cool air directly onto your face and neck while keeping your hands free for more Mickey Mouse pretzels. It's quiet, rechargeable, and way more discreet than you'd expect — no need to sacrifice style for survival. Don't worry – your hair won't get tangled in this one like the old-school blade it from Amazon for $27.19+ (available in five colors). Sanitize before eating your favorite Mickey Mouse-shaped pretzel Let's try not to think too much about how dirty the handrails and dividers are on those long lines for the rides. This sleek, credit-card-shaped bottle from Touchland slips easily into any park bag or pocket, and the mist goes on evenly without that sticky residue. Aside from being on-theme, the mist also smells amazing. Get it from Amazon for $20. A perfectly-sized backpack that you can bring on every ride The last thing you want is to lug around a heavy backpack for 12 hours and then doing it all over again the next day. For a lightweight, no-fuss backpack that can fit on every ride, the Osprey Daylite backpack is my favorite. It's comfortable to wear all day and has plenty of space for park essentials without weighing you it from Amazon for $47.41+ (available in 18 colors). Recharge your devices and check wait times on the Disney World app with a portab Your phone is your lifeline at Disney — between taking photos, using the Disney World app or Genie+ and placing mobile orders — and this portable charger has the battery power to keep it alive all day (and then some). (The Disney app, for one, is a game-changer – it shows wait times for rides in real time.) With multiple ports and a digital display, it's easy to share power with your group and know exactly how much juice you've got left. It's a little heavy, but totally worth it for peace of mind when you're having 12-hour days of pure magic. Get it from Amazon for $28.49+ (available in four colors). A hat that everyone will be asking about Disney fashion is out on display in the parks. You don't want to get sunburnt on your first day, so this Stitch trucker hat gets the job done while playing the part. The mesh back keeps you cool on hot days, without blocking your view during parades or shows. It's lightweight, adjustable, and easy to toss in your bag after dark. Be prepared to get an influx of compliments!Get it from Amazon for $16.38+ (also available in eight other styles). Keep your prized possessions dry as you're barreling down Tatiana's Bayou Advent You have to ride the new Tiana's Bayou Adventure at the Magic Kingdom park – it replaced the long-running Splash Mountain last June. For log-flume rides like these that come with a high chance of getting completely soaked, a dry bag is a lifesaver. It keeps everything from your phone to your snacks bone-dry, and the lightweight design makes it easy to roll up and stash when you don't need it. Plus, the transparent plastic means you're not digging around blindly when you're in line for a Dole Whip ice cream it from Amazon for $13.99+ (available in five sizes and 11 colors). Affordable sunglasses that won't fall off your face no matter how fast you go on Tron Leave your expensive sunglasses at home, because losing them in Hollywood Studios on Slinky Dog Dash isn't a very happy ending. These Goodr sunglasses are my go-to for park days — lightweight, non-slip, and polarized so you're not squinting at Cinderella's Castle. They stay put on rides like Tron Lightcycle / Run and Tiana's Bayou Adventure. The translucent frames and reflective lenses add fun to your 'fit. Plus, they're affordable enough that if you lose them on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, it won't ruin your them from Amazon for $25. Hair clips that give a subtle nod to the magic of Mickey and Minnie Don't underestimate the power of a good hair clip at Disney — especially when it's 92 degrees and you've been riding roller coasters since 8 a.m. These mini claw clips are lightweight, non-slip, and come in a pack of 20, so you won't stress if one gets lost in the depths of your backpack. They're perfect for quick updos, half-up styles, or keeping your hair out of your lunch. Get them in a pack of four or them from Amazon for $9.99+. A pair of waterproof sneakers that will make those 20,000 steps feel easy Comfort is everything at Disney World and the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 23 GTX sneakers are built for marathon days in the parks. With excellent arch support, responsive cushioning, and a waterproof-yet-breathable design, they keep your feet happy whether you're power-walking to the Lightning Lane or dodging Florida rainstorms. The grip is solid even on slippery pavement, and they don't need a break-in period — just lace up and go. Trust me, your feet will thank you by the time you hit mile them from Amazon for $119.95+ (available in men's sizes 7–14). A T-shirt that pays homage to a beloved attraction Muppet Courtyard, an area of the park that included the Muppets*Vision 3D attraction and PizzeRizzo restaurant, closed earlier this month to make way for a 'Monsters Inc' installation, and superfans paid their final visits to say goodbye to a classic. You can pay homage with this 100% cotton Comfort Colors tee printed with an original design from Main Street Thieves. The California-based small business specializes in unique Disney designs that offer new riffs on classic characters. Get it from Main Street Thieves for $39 (available in unisex sizes S–4XL and two colors). Vlog the entire trip with a GoPro HERO13 Black that will become a family home vi Whether you're traveling to Disney with your kids, your parents or your best friends, you're going to want to enter your vlogging era. The GoPro Hero13 Black is compact and easy to use with voice-activated shooting options. Set up your GoPro on its handheld tripod and simply say 'GoPro, take a photo!' to capture the moment. Keep in mind that you cannot bring a recording device on most rides for safety reasons – but there are a few exceptions, like Mad Tea Party and It's a Small World. Get it from Amazon for $329. A book for collecting autographs from your favorite characters Meeting characters is half the magic, and this Stitch-themed autograph book turns those moments into keepsakes. With plenty of pages and a spiral binding that lays flat, it's easy for characters to sign — even the ones with oversized paws. Get it from Amazon for $9.58. A Canon camera to capture every single, goofy, magical moment Disney World is about making memories for a lifetime, and sometimes the camera on your phone just doesn't cut it. The main feature to consider for the parks is a compact yet powerful device. The Canon PowerShot SX740 is a solid pick with 40x optical zoom that captures everything from the fireworks to posing with Goofy. Built-in WiFi and Bluetooth make it easy to send photos straight to your phone for quick posting on social it from Amazon for $805.50.
