Hands-on Galaxy Z Fold 7 images leak, and it looks very promising
Industry insider and semiconductor analyst Jukan Choi has got their hands on real-world images of the Fold in a dark blue color: possibly called Blue Shadow.

The recently reported lack of camera rings on the Fold 7 seems to have been accurate. It also looks very slim, and the leaks about it being only 8.9 mm when folded are very likely true as well. Unfortunately, the 8-inch main display is covered with a sheet of protective material, so we can't see how much Samsung has improved the crease.
The phone will be Samsung's most advanced foldable yet, according to the company, and it shows. In fact, the Fold 7 sold me on foldables before the foldable iPhone could. The only thing I can really complain about is the rumored 4,400 mAh battery and 25W wired charging speeds. But, honestly, I can look past that.

Fold 7 will be powered by the same processor as the S25 phones: the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Considering the improved crease reports, the much slimmer profile, and the hardware packed inside, Samsung has truly caught up, in my opinion.
Reserve the upcoming book-like foldable phone by Samsung and get solid savings. If you secure a unit straight away, you'll get a $50 Samsung Credit, plus up to $1,150 additional savings. You'll also participate in a sweepstakes with a grand prize of $5,000 in Samsung Credit. Reserve at Samsung
Rival foldable phones like the Honor Magic V5 and the Oppo Find N5 aren't as far ahead in terms of specs as they were compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 6. In short, the Fold 7 makes the Fold 6 look ancient. You'd only really opt for the V5 or N5 if you really needed a bigger battery or didn't care about One UI. Honor is promising seven years of updates, just like Samsung, so the V5 is the other best choice in my eyes.
The foldable industry has been in a bit of a slump, but entries like the Fold 7 and next year's foldable iPhone have the potential to bring about a second wind. Especially with Samsung's foray into budget Galaxy foldables this year, these phones will become a lot more enticing. Secure your connection now at a bargain price!

iPhone 17 Pro Max's battery capacity rumored to be larger than its predecessor's
The iPhone 17 Pro Max will come with a larger battery than its predecessor's 4,685 mAh cell. According to a new rumor out of China today, the iPhone 17 Pro Max will finally be the first iPhone to reach 5,000 mAh. As you may know, that's pretty much been the default capacity for flagship Android devices up until recently, when Chinese brands started using Si/C batteries thus taking them past that limit, while Samsung and Google have been content to stay around the 5,000 mAh mark, for now at least. iPhone 16 Pro Max Throughout Apple's iPhone Pro Max line, every new generation brought with it a slight increase in battery size, aside from the iPhone 14 Pro Max which actually had an ever so slightly smaller cell than the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Samsung tri-fold appears in One UI 8 code
Samsung was one of the pioneers in the foldable phone market and we've already seen teasers about its upcoming first tri-fold device. Some rumors suggest we may see the tri-fold at next week's Galaxy Unpacked event and we now have an actual look at the device thanks to the team over at Android Authority who discovered animation files hidden in the latest One UI 8 build. These show the device's design, which includes three rear panels and two inward folding hinges. The more interesting bit is that the hinges on Samsung's tri-fold feature different sizes and will reportedly fold inwards instead of the outward folding approach seen on Huawei's Mate XT. This means Samsung's device will have to be unfolded from right to left as shown in the following animation. A separate video shows a warning not to fold the right side of the device (which has the three rear cameras on its back) inward, as that may end up breaking the display. The device features a cover screen that will reside in the middle when the main folding screen is fully open. Samsung's tri-fold is referred to as Multifold 7 in the One UI 8 code, while previous rumors suggest it is called Q7M internally. While its commercial name is not finalized, previous reports point to it being called Galaxy G Fold. According to previous leaks, Samsung's first tri-fold device will feature a 9.96" folding screen and a 6.54" cover display. It is expected to weigh around 300 grams and may only launch in South Korea and China. Source

Official Galaxy Z Fold 7 cases suggest Samsung is extra confident this year
*Header image is referential and showcases the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6. | Image credit — Samsung The official phone cases for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 have surfaced in a new leak ( translated source ). In addition to a stylish new entry, the design of the cases suggests that Samsung is particularly confident in its phone this Fold 7 will have the following cases available directly from Samsung: Silicone case Clear case Clear grip case Clear Magnet case Carbon Shield case Official phone cases for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 . | Image credit — Nieuwe Mobiel Notice a few things missing? You're not alone. The S Pen case is gone, and the remaining cases don't feature any protection for the front of the phone. It seems that Samsung is pretty sure that the Fold 7 doesn't need that extra protection. The new 'Carbon Shield' case is, in my opinion, pretty fancy. However, I would still probably go for a plain black silicone case, I'm just boring like that. The omission of the S Pen seems to signal that Samsung is thinking about removing it entirely, though it's scared to do so. All of these leaked renders also corroborate every other rumor before, as well as the hands-on Fold 7 images that came out today. It is basically confirmed at this point that the Fold will not feature the 'ugly' cameras that users complained about on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. These were the official cases for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 . | Video credit — Samsung However, despite my preference for a plain silicone case, I wouldn't actually use a case at all, unless I needed the magnet case for Qi2 charging. I've never been a fan of phone cases, and why would you want to cover up a phone that's undergone so much improvement? The Fold 7 makes the Fold 6 look ancient, and I want to feel that leap in design philosophy every time I pick it sure, if you're scared of dropping it, all of the cases above will at least protect the back panel. Foldable phones are expensive, so it's a good thing that Samsung is introducing a budget foldable this year as well: the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. If you're not a fan of Samsung's One UI or can't stand the 4,400 mAh battery, then other phone manufacturers have you covered. The Honor Magic V5 is currently the slimmest foldable in the world, has a very impressive 6,100 mAh battery, and also comes with seven years of software support. You've also got the Oppo Find N5, another powerful and slim foldable with a much bigger battery than the Fold 7 . Or, of course, you could wait to see if Apple delivers the foldable iPhone next year. Leaked foldable iPhone screen specs suggest it's already fallen behind the Fold 7 . But it may actually see Apple's vision of a crease-free foldable realized.
