Saturday Night Live to Launch British Spinoff in 2026
Saturday Night Live will launch a UK spinoff in 2026, Sky has confirmed. Show creator Lorne Michaels will executive-produce the show, enlisting an all-British cast of comedians, musical guests, and celebrity hosts to recreate the 'live, fast-paced style that has made the show a cultural phenomenon,' as Sky put it in the announcement. The London-based program will, naturally, air live on Saturday nights, via Sky Max and Now TV.
The British SNL was reportedly in the works in 2021, but today's news is the first confirmation that the plans are moving forward. Broadway Video and Universal Television Alternative Studio's UK production team will produce the show; more details will be announced in the coming months. SNL recently celebrated its 50th anniversary with SNL50: The Homecoming Concert, featuring David Byrne, Lady Gaga, Devo, the surviving members of Nirvana, and many more.

‘Ted Lasso' Season 4 Filming Underway Without This Fan-Favorite Star
"Ted Lasso" Season 3 Ted Lasso Season 4 is officially in production, marking the start of a new chapter for the 13-time Emmy-winning comedy. While many O.G.s are set to return, there are still questions surrounding some of the show's other fan-favorite stars, including Phil Dunster (aka the one and only Jamie Tartt). Back in March, Apple TV+ confirmed that Ted Lasso will return for a fourth season. Jason Sudeikis, who co-created the show with Brendan Hunt, Joe Kelly, and Bill Lawrence, will reprise his role and continue to serve as an executive producer for the upcoming installment. On Monday, July 21, Apple TV+ revealed that the show had begun filming in Kansas City, MO, with additional filming set to take place in London. The streamer also shared the first behind-the-scenes clip from Season 4 on social media. The video, with the caption "We're not in Richmond anymore," shows Ted, Keeley, Rebecca and Leslie sitting together in a booth at a restaurant. After the scene begins, the screen fades to black, revealing that Season 4 is officially in production, as the sounds of the characters enjoying their food play in the background. The clip's filming location in Kansas City, rather than across the pond, suggests that Ted's closest pals have traveled to the States, perhaps to convince him to coach Richmond's women's team. After all, Season 3 ended with Ted returning to his Midwestern hometown and Keeley presenting Rebecca with the idea of launching a women's club in Richmond. Apple TV+ and Sudeikis confirmed that Ted will be coaching a women's club in Season 4. 'Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women's football team," the official logline reads. "Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.' In the first-look clip for season four, we only see four cast members, but what about the rest? Here's the latest on which stars are returning so far. Which Ted Lasso Cast Members Are Confirmed to Return In Season 4? First look at "Ted Lasso" Season 4. In addition to Sudeikis, it has now been confirmed that original cast members Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift will also reprise their roles for Season 4. They'll be joined by several new cast members in Season 4, including Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely. While character details haven't been revealed, Feely will take over the role of Henry Lasso, Ted's son, according to Variety. Which Ted Lasso Cast Members Haven't Been Confirmed for Season 4? "Ted Lasso" Season 3 While some fan favorites have been confirmed, the fate of other beloved characters is still up in the air — including Dunster, who portrayed AFC Richmond footballer Jamie Tartt. Last August, Deadline and Puck News reported that Dunster had not yet been picked up for the series due to scheduling conflicts. The British actor currently stars in two series, Prime Video's The Devil's Hour and Apple's Surface Additionally, there's been no word on the involvement of the following Season 3 cast members in Season 4: There's always a chance that, even if they're not brought on as series regulars, they could still appear in a recurring or guest role. Nick Mohammed, who portrays Nate Shelley, previously expressed interest in returning to the show before the renewal was finalized. 'Yeah, of course. I mean, it was such a gift of a show, we all feel so grateful for being a part of it. I'd love to do some more at some point, but then, equally, it came to a satisfying conclusion in terms of stories for a lot of them, a lot of the characters,' he told Radio Times. Apple TV+ has yet to announce a release date for Season 4, though the next season isn't expected to premiere until 2026 or 2027. Stay tuned for more details. All three seasons of Ted Lasso are streaming on Apple TV+.

Sex fest worker reveals raunchy secrets from behind the tent flaps at controversial swingers weekend: ‘More condoms than coffees'
Here's to a swingin' summer. For most of the year, Allington is a quintessential, charming British town in Lincolnshire, boasting nearby natural sites perfect for the average outdoorsman or the traveller in need of some peace and quiet. But once a summer, 'Swingathon' and its band of kinky festivalgoers descend on the town for a loud, licentious three days. 3 Guests enjoyed pole dancing, hot tubs, mobile dungeons, foam parties and private orgy tents. Kerry Voellner / SWNS DJ Kerry Voellner — a loud and proud swinger in her free time — offered outsiders an inside look at the festival, with activities ranging from 40-person orgies to 'butt plug bingo.' In its fifth year, the festival boasted its largest ever attendance rate, with over 1,000 tickets sold. Voellner said that the crowd typically has a wide range of attendees, and this year was no exception. 'There's no standard festivalgoer — there were people of all ages — and some people walked around naked while others were in sexy lingerie or jockstraps,' she told SWNS. 'One woman even came dressed as a big vagina.' Swingers walked around naked or in bondage gear, and busied themselves with sex demonstrations, talks and games. Voellner runs an adult alternative lifestyle venue called The Lifestyle Lounge, which is a sponsor of the festival, in Manchester. She helped organize weekend logistics and even DJed a few sets. 'I was working this weekend, so I didn't have any sex, but I had the time of my life,' she said. Nykolas Shipway, a performer who goes by Gutter Sl*t on stage, told SWNS that there were plenty of fetish demonstrations, ranging from wax play to shibari, and added that 'there were condoms everywhere, more condoms than coffees.' 3 Voellner also set up a bondage table and kinky trivia sessions. Kerry Voellner / SWNS 'But it's all normal for us in the swinging world; the vanilla world is too straight-laced for us,' Voellner said. While there were some young, wild attendees and massive orgies, there were also couples there who had been married for decades. 3 Many attendees wore masks, costumes and other sensual attire. Kerry Voellner / SWNS In the past, the festival has gotten flak for disturbing local residents — with ultra-load moaning and wild, unconventional kinks alike. 'We're becoming known as the swingers capital of England just because of this festival, and that's not a title we want,' an anonymous resident previously SWNS. 'It's mostly elderly people and families here, so you can imagine them spitting their tea out when they learned we were to be the home of Swingathon.' But despite past controversy, Voellner said Swingathon's organizers strive to keep the festival clean, hygienic and partially sound-proof — an especially attractive new addition to this year's lineup for local residents. According to Voellner, every ticketed guest had to show proof of clean STI testing before entering the grounds, and swingers are encouraged to use protection during sexual activities — both of which are apparently standard practice within the lifestyle anyway. 'It's all very clean and hygienic,' she said, 'and there are condoms in every room, it's not accepted in this lifestyle not to wear one. It's a standard.' The festival drew a massive group of swingers seeking sexual freedom, but this year, Voellner said that some residents even swung by to check it out. 'We encompass anyone with a lifestyle out of the ordinary and we welcome them,' Voellner affirmed. '[Swingathon is] about people being themselves and being free.'

Supermassive Games is delaying Directive 8020 and laying off staff
Supermassive Games, the developer behind story-driven games like Until Dawn , The Quarry and The Dark Pictures Anthology , is cutting its workforce due to the ongoing "challenging" state of the games industry. The studio says it's having to adapt its team structure and as a consequence expects to lose up to 36 employees. The current size of the Supermassive's staff is unclear, but in February last year it cut somewhere in the region of 90 jobs, at which time Bloomberg estimated the studio had more than 300 employees. "This decision was not taken lightly, and we know it will be an incredibly difficult time for everyone," the UK-based developer said in a statement published today. "Our absolute priority will be to offer full support to all those affected." Supermassive is currently working on Little Nightmares III and the sci-fi horror adventure Directive 8020 , which is the fifth entry in The Dark Pictures Anthology . It said the layoffs will have no impact on the development of the former, which is still due out October 10. Directive 8020 has been delayed to the first half of 2026, which it says will allow it to "deliver the very best experience for our fans." The game had been scheduled to release on October 2. Supermassive is the latest developer to be hit with job losses, following Candy Crush studio King reportedly laying off at least 200 employees as part of the wide-ranging cuts at Microsoft . Virtuos, the studio behind Oblivion Remastered , also shed around seven percent of its staff last week, while Yooka-Laylee developer Playtonic let an unspecified number of its team go at the beginning of the summer.
