Geothermal energy: Deeper rock sample studies in Sembawang show promising results, say scientists
More evidence of promising geothermal energy potential has been found in Singapore's northern region. Scientists drilling around 1.8 kilometres underground in Sembawang have found temperature gradients that are higher than global averages. Two scientists from the Energy Research Institute at NTU, Professor Alessandro Romagnoli, Cluster Director, Multi-Energy Systems & Grids, and Dr Jonathan Poh, Research Fellow, discuss their research on geothermal energy in Sembawang.
