Pantone Deep Forest color. If you want a state-of-the-art alternative to the likes of Samsung's Galaxy S25 Ultra or Google's Pixel 9 Pro XL, you're going to have to look elsewhere. As budget 5G phones go, however, this is a pretty compelling value proposition at a recommended US price of $549.99 (with no strings attached, of course).
The Edge 2025 looks familiar but decidedly snazzy in its lone US color option. | Image Credit -- Motorola Compared to the Motorola Edge (2024), which also started at $550 around this time last year, the Edge (2025) comes with an extra rear-facing snapper, a slightly larger but curiously enough slightly less smooth screen, an evidently improved selfie camera, a bit more battery juice, a more robust construction, and an added physical button. Oh, and of course, a different processor, although Motorola has chosen the MediaTek route instead of the more popular Qualcomm path this time around.
All in all, this certainly qualifies as a satisfactory list of upgrades, which doesn't make it any less painful for Android power users to see Motorola "forget" about an Edge+ flagship yet again. After establishing what devices Motorola's new US mid-range soldier should not be compared with, let's talk about this bad boy's actual rivals for a bit. First up, there's Google's $499 Pixel 9a. That's clearly the better choice from a long-term software support standpoint, but its 6.3-inch display might prove a little... cramped for some of you fine bargain hunters out there. Which brings me to Samsung's 6.7-inch Galaxy S24 FE. Now that's an expansive budget-friendly flagship, but if you're not lucky to find it at a discount, its $650 starting price (with only 128GB storage) could feel a little steep for most prospective Motorola Edge (2025) buyers.
Speaking of discounts, history suggests Motorola might have some launch surprises up its sleeve, so be sure to watch out for those and maybe not rush to pay the full 550 bucks as soon as the Edge (2025) goes on sale in the US on June 5. That release date is good for unlocked units available directly from the handset's manufacturer, as well as major third-party retailers like Amazon and Best Buy. As far as carriers go, T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile , Total Wireless, Visible, Spectrum, and Xfinity Mobile are the only ones officially confirmed to pick up the phone "in the coming months."

Despite Trump's tariffs on non-US-made goods, Apple was able to delay the inevitable price hikes on its products, leaving the iPhone 16 family phones at their original prices. According to the analyst, Apple increasing prices is mostly due to the import tariffs as well as the rising cost of some components. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 FE review
It's neither the Z Flip7, nor is it the Z Flip6 - Samsung's come up with a second-tier clamshell foldable in 2025 and the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE carries the 7 in the name, but is more like the 6 in most ways. No longer satisfied with offering a clamshell and a book-style foldable, Samsung is diversifying things by having two clamshells in addition to the Fold. A two Flips approach does seem to make sense - Motorola has had two Razrs in most markets, and competing at more price points is probably good for the bottom line. The Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, in true FE fashion, comes with certain hardware concessions, though it's seemingly not as dramatic a downgrade compared to the 'real' model, as is the case with the S-series and their FEs. Indeed, this FE is more of a reissue of last year's model. The Z Flip7 FE reuses the Z Flip6's cameras, but then so does the Z Flip7. Unlike the Z Flip7, however, here we're looking at the same body as the 2024 model, same displays, same battery, same most things. Well, the chipset is different - an Exynos 2400, like some S24s had - and Samsung figured 12GB of RAM is too much for an FE, so it's 8GB instead. The Z Flip7 FE does start its life at Android 16, though, two more than the Z Flip6, so there's that. Tipster reveals when the Google Pixel 10 Pro will go on sale
Peter, 30 July 2025 Last week, Google revealed the designs of all four Pixel 10-series phones and the week before that it had already confirmed that the new series will be unveiled on August 20. That's the unveiling, but when will they be available for purchase? We were contacted by someone who works at a phone shop, claiming to have seen documents that state that the Google Pixel 10 Pro sale will go live on August 20. This might apply to the entire 10-series, though it might not – last year Google launched the vanilla and Pro XL models in August, then the small Pro and the Pro Fold in September. Given that the tip was specifically for the 10 Pro, we don't think that the 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL will be split this time around. Whether the Pro Fold is ready in time is another question. We can't verify the claims of our tipster, but the information is not surprising either. Note that the August 20 date most likely refers to the start of pre-orders - Google should begin shipping pre-orders and kick off open sales of the new models several days after that. The Google Pixel 10 series Looking back at the 9-series, it was unveiled on August 13 and pre-orders for the vanilla and Pro XL models started immediately after the event. Shipping and open sales for those two started on August 22. Deliveries of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold were set for September 4 and open sales began the day after. If the Pixel 10 series follows the same timeline, pre-orders will start on August 20 and the first models will be shipping by the end of the month. Nine days later is August 29, a Friday. There's a good chance that the upcoming Google Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2a will follow the same timeline as the Pixel phones.
