PALA, California: Three riders returning from injury topped the first qualification session for the 450 class at Fox Raceway, with the undefeated Jett Lawrence (2:15.029) topping the charts.
The long anticipated battle between Jett and Eli Tomac could be a great one if the morning times hold up. Tomac was second with a lap of 2:17.275.
Dan Beaver,
Hunter Lawrence kept the theme of returning strength alive with the third-best lap of 2:17.416. Jett and Hunter finished first and second in last year's edition of this race.
Justin Cooper (2:18.659) carried his Supercross momentum into Pala and landed fourth on the chart.
Fifth-place Aaron Plessinger (2:19.667) rounded out the top five.
Chase Sexton (2:20.187) and Cooper Webb (2:20.790) were 11th in the morning session. They may be feeling a 'hangover' effect from their Supercross battle.

WMX leader Lachlan Turner wins first Women's moto at the Loretta Lynn's Nationals

Women's Pro Motocross (WMX) leader Lachlan Turner led the 10-lap Women's Moto 1 at the Loretta Lynn's Amateur Nationals to begin her quest for a first Women's divisional title. Despite failing to win the Women's division in the prestigious event, Turner is the reigning Girls champion. More impressively, she won last year's WMX title in the first year of the series' return. The only thing keeping the day from being perfect on Wednesday at the Loretta's was Turner's failure to get the holeshot. That honor went to Jaelyn Wishon, who retired with two laps remaining to finish 40th. Dan Beaver, Once in the lead, Turner was never challenged. She had a five-second advantage over the field at the end of the first lap and steadily increased it until she finished more than 30 seconds ahead of Kyleigh Stallings, who is currently fourth in WMX points. Stallings started the race third behind Turner and Jordan Jarvis, but moved into second on Lap 2. And while Jarvis could not get around Stallings, the two were in close contact throughout the middle of the moto, often separated by one second. Stallings won the contest and finished in second place. Jarvis rounded out the podium in third. Fourth-place Mayla Herrick and Mila Baltyk rounded out the top five. KTM AG returns to full production

KTM AG resumed production across all four lines at its main plants of Mattighofen and Munderfing, with 1,000 production employees returning to normal operations. Production for its KTM, Husqvarna, and GasGas motorcycle brands is included. "A special thank you goes to our employees, who have made this restart possible through their tremendous dedication, flexibility, and team spirit over the past months," said KTM AG CEO Gottfried Neumeister in a news release. "Their commitment during one of the most challenging phases has been - and continues to be - a key success factor for the company's future development. Restarting production gives us the stability we need to fully refocus on quality, customer proximity, and further development." While this does not necessarily conclude the saga of KYM parent company Pierer Mobility AG's restructuring, which was announced in November 2024, it further lessens speculation about the overall health of the company that produced last year's Pro Motocross champion, Chase Sexton. In May 2025, the company announced that Bajaj Auto Ltd., a co-owner of KTM AG alongside Stefan Pierer, had secured a one-year, $632 million loan to keep the company operational as it restructured some of its debt. Representing KTM, Sexton is currently fourth in SuperMotocross World Championship points. Husqvarna's top rider is Malcolm Stewart, who sits sixth in the standings. GasGas is best represented by Justin Barcia in ninth.
