Antler summer sale slashes prices on carry-ons and suitcases
The summer holiday season is in full swing, with many people planning overseas trips and getaways. Those looking to upgrade their luggage can find savings at Antler, as the high-end brand launches a sitewide sale.
The brand has introduced an online discount code, and shoppers can get 20% off its goods using the code SUMMER at the checkout. The discount code applies to all of Antler's luggage, including carry-ons, suitcases and backpacks.
Debenhams fans can also find deals on suitcase sets, including this Delta Stripe 3 Piece Luggage Set on sale from £49.99, from £79.99. The hardshell set comprises a cabin suitcase, a medium suitcase and a large one - it comes in turquoise, pink, lime green, and grey.
Antler's sale highlights include this medium-sized hardshell suitcase (worth £190 but £152 with discount code applied). Made with a durable polypropylene shell, it's designed with a single stripe to protect belongings while staying light and easy to handle.
The medium-sized hardshell suitcase is available in a range of colours, including green, light blue, indigo, dark green and taupe. Its overall measurements are 68cm x 46cm x 31cm.
It has a five-star overall rating and more than 300 reviews, with one person writing: "Looks great and well built, the proof is in the first holiday use. We purchased four of them."
A second described it as 'lightweight' but had issues with the size, adding: "A little bigger than we really wanted. The next size down is for a carry-on, which is too small. I would also prefer a tight lock closure rather than a zip, which feels less secure."
A third added: "A really sturdy and well-made suitcase. I chose a practical forest green colour and the case is just so light and easy to manoeuvre."
Similarly, Dunelm also offers a range of luggage options. Its Elements Hard Shell range is popular among consumers, with prices from £30 to £40 for cabin, medium and large suitcases.
Another Antler sale pick is this handy backpack, which can be used for travelling, as well as communicating and UK days out. The Essential Backpack is worth £115 but is £92 with the discount code, and comes in three colours, including taupe, black and green.
Designed to fit underseat restrictions on airlines, it opens fully like a suitcase, with a detachable gusset for packing without rummaging. One reviewer rated it five stars, describing it as 'light, spacious, sleek and elegant'.
Another shopper highlighted its convenient compartments for 'laptop and documents' storage. However, a third customer knocked one star off, as they would prefer it to be made of leather.
Antler's Icon cabin suitcase (worth £230 but is £184 with the discount code applied) is one of its most popular lines, with more than 1000 reviews. The suitcase's measurements are 55cm x 40cm x 24cm, and it is designed with a zip-up front pocket that accommodates tech and other essentials.
The hardshell case is designed to comply with major European airline size restrictions. Choose from taupe, green, black and indigo hues. In the reviews, one buyer wrote: "This case is excellent, perfect for business travel. When walking through the airport as I did today you can feel the quality of the components. Will be buying my wife one for her travel also."
Another wasn't as pleased, saying: "The design looks quite nice. However, the handle broke when unpacking the suitcase or was broke already. Sadly no answer from the customer support."

Back to the Fulton Bookcase, shoppers have awarded it a 4.6 star rating, with many reviewers being amazed about how easy it was to assemble the storage space. One delighted shopper said: "Very sturdy and balanced well, they provide stickers the same pattern as the wood to put over the screw holes which makes it look way more expensive. The build I was a little nervous about doing alone but honestly it's hard to go wrong with and was quicker than I thought." With another five-star reviewer adding on: "It's a lovely colour and easy to set up, managed to set up by myself with no problems." However, a few shoppers lowered their rating due to the colour of the bookcase. One person wrote: "Very much darker than illustrated , dark grey. Otherwise it is a very good quality piece." While another shopper said: "The colour isn't as it appears in the photo, it's much darker, I don't know why they are calling it pine. Had to return it." Despite this, a top reviewer praised: "Good quality, solid wood, easy to assemble. Makes a great focal point as a bookshelf in my living room. The shade of wood is darker than pictured." With a sixth customer gushing: The ladder bookcase is a very solid piece of furniture. It's of good quality and has 5 very spacious shelves. It's not as bulky as others I'd seen and fits perfectly in my small dining room. I'm very pleased with my purchase, especially as it was on sale in January." North Wales shopping centre has been sold
A shopping centre in the heart of a North Wales city has been sold. The Menai Centre was developed in Bangor back in 2007 by Cathco Property Group at the cost of £18.5m. But the 130,000 sq ft building had been left 80% vacant after losing big names like Debenhams and H&M during the pandemic. It was bought by Bearmont Capital - run by Rob Lloyd - in 2023. Since then new names have been added - with The Original Factory Shop (TOFS), Greggs, and Hays Travel opening, as well as the City Sports & Cocktail Bar taking on the old H&M site. A deal is in place to open a major health centre at the former Debenhams in a partnership with Cyngor Gwynedd and the Betsi Cadwaladr health board, backed by Welsh Government funds. Now Beaumont Capital has announced the site has been sold in two separate lots. The first phase saw the sale of the former Debenhams store (approx. 60,000 sq ft), a 20,000sq ft unit and two smaller ground floor shops, and the "assignment" of the 400-space multi-storey car park. Sign up for the North Wales Live newsletter sent twice daily to your inbox The remaining part of the centre was sold at auction this week. This comprised the income-producing section of the centre, with tenants including Superdrug, JD Sports, Caffè Nero, Hays Travel, Cancer Research Wales, Burger King, British Heart Foundation, Greggs and others. It sold at auction for £2.75m. Rob Lloyd, founder of Bearmont Capital, said: "We're pleased to have played our part in supporting Bangor 's high street. When we first acquired the Menai Centre, a large number of units were vacant - so it's rewarding to have brought life back to these spaces. I believe the centre is now well placed for the next phase. "I'd like to thank everyone who has supported this process, especially Cyngor Gwynedd for their full cooperation along the journey. It's been a pleasure working with them. I wish both sets of new owners all the best with their future plans, which I'm sure will make a positive difference to the city going forward." Ben Hodge at Savills led the sales process. Legal and property support was provided by David Rainford at PMJ Capital, James Sargent and Barbara Rollin at Gateley plc and Mathew Green, Tom Gibson and Danny Cole at Mason Partners LLP.

'Robust' £900 Debenhams watch drops to £96 as shoppers 'baffled' by low price
This versatile watch comes in three different colourways. While there are many stunning watches on the market for shoppers to fawn over, those who live a more adventurous lifestyle are slightly more limited in the timepieces they can buy - especially if they want to wear it during activities. Thankfully, Debenhams' massive sale on their watch range also includes a variety of robust watches that were designed to be their wearer's companion on land and in the sea. Shoppers also get the added bonus of these timepieces having hundreds of pounds slashed off their price tag. One popular watch in the sale is the STÜHRLING Original 4054 Aquatic Force Chronograph Watch. Normally retailing for a whopping £900, watch lovers can now snap up this timepiece for £96.75 after a massive 89 per cent discount. Described as being the embodiment of robust design and functional elegance, this Aquatic Force watch was crafted for those who have an 'adventurous spirit'. With a 50mm case, this watch makes a bold statement while also being comfortable for everyday wear. Boasting skeletonised luminous filled hands so wearers can tell the time in poor lighting, the watch also features chronograph subdials for added precision. This is all powered by a reliable Japanese Quartz movement so wearers will always be able to keep time accurately. Designed for both formal occasions and for the depths of the sea, this timepiece is equipped with a water resistance of 100m. However, while not compromising on style, this watch also comes with a silicone rubber strap to ensure both comfort and durability. £900 £96.75 Debenhams Buy Now Product Description Debenhams is currently selling this versatile watch in three colourways. For those who like a sleek and subtle look, shoppers can buy the watch in an all black design with slight hints of red. However, shoppers can also buy the timepiece in dark grey with bright yellow pops of colour, or they can go all out with a striking blue design. Another versatile watch in the Debenhams sale is the STÜHRLING Original Maritimer 935 Quartz 43mm Diver Watch. Normally retailing for £870, shoppers can now buy the timepiece in either blue or grey for £101.25. This watch is said to ensure accuracy and grace in any rugged setting. Alternatively, H. Samuel has put the Rotary Men's Stainless Steel Bracelet Watch on a clearance reduction. Normally retailing for £349.99, shoppers can now grab this red and blue bezel watch for £140. The retailer is also letting shoppers reduce the price further by adding the code SALE10 at checkouts - £126. Back to Debenhams, the Aquatic Force watch currently boasts a four star rating from shoppers. Many were impressed by the price and the quality of the timepiece. One delighted shopper said: "Lovely watch and brilliant price. Strap is really nice." With another five-star reviewer adding on: "Have bought this as a Xmas present for my son, easy ordering, an amazing price." However, one shopper had an issue with the delivery. They wrote: "Still not receiving it a month later. Poor reply from Debenhams and the company. Wouldn't recommend." Despite this, another happy customer said: "I have a few nice watches so when I saw this advertised at less than a fifth of its original price I thought, why not. I bought the watch and was really impressed when it arrived. "It is a very good looking, good quality watch. I'm still baffled as to how they can offer these watches. Two of my mates have ordered watches and I have ordered a second one, the same brand but different model. It probably won't be the last."
