A panicked owner searching for her dog for over an hour couldn't believe where she finally spotted him.
Owner Catherine is no stranger to her tiny dog trying to escape. She told Newsweek via TikTok that her Chihuahua is constantly on the move. It doesn't matter if he's inside or out; he'll make it his mission to go explore.
"He's so tiny, he can fit between our fence posts and escapes sometimes," she said. "He's smart, though, and never goes too far."
Usually, the dog stays tucked into a blanket, the laundry or inside pillowcases when he's inside. However, a recent incident left Catherine worried. She had zero clue where he managed to get. Catherine searched high and low for him. As time continued, more and more panic set in.
"I was super worried because I thought for sure he was outside somewhere—with the weather being warm, he likes to lie in the sun, so immediately I thought he got out somehow and had been missing for a while, or even worse, a bigger animal got him," she said.
Luckily, relief set in about half an hour later. She revealed in her June 23 TikTok video under the account @catherinethejustokay24 that her dog didn't get too far. The entire time she searched and called his name repeatedly, he stayed put and blended himself into a blanket on the couch, enjoying a quick nap. Viewers couldn't even see his head until she walked closer to the chair.
And while Catherine confronted him for all the worry he caused, he stared at her blankly; he had zero clue what he had done wrong.
"He drives us nuts but we love him," Catherine said.

Viewer Reactions
At the time of writing, the TikTok video reached over 469,800 views and 73,500 likes. Viewers immediately rushed to the dog's defense, claiming it wasn't his fault the blanket matched his black and white fur.
"He is completely camouflaged in that blanket," a person commented, while a second pointed out: "He was a cozy burrito you cannot expect him to leave his tortilla."
Another added: "In his defense, he didn't buy the dog camo blankie."
A fourth user wrote: "He was responding with blinks. It's not his fault you didn't see his response."

TikTok Is Building a New Version of the App for September Release
TikTok's staff is reportedly building a new version of the app for American users — dubbed M2 — for a September release ahead of an expected sale, The Information reported this week. Any potential deal will still have to be approved by the Chinese government. The news comes amid suggestions from the Trump administration that a group of 'non-Chinese' investors are pursuing the app. The group is said to include Oracle. The press secretary added that Trump wants to accomplish his goal 'while protecting [Americans'] privacy and security.' On June 29, Trump then told Fox News 'a group of very wealthy people' were clamoring to buy the app. 'I think President Xi will probably do it,' he said. The app was initially set to be banned on Jan. 19 after President Biden signed a law in 2024 requiring ByteDance, TikTok's parent company, to sell TikTok's American operations. Lawmakers were concerned that ByteDance could use the platform to spy on citizens for China's government. On Jan. 20, Trump gave the app a 75-day extension, a decision he re-upped in April. That deadline extension will expire on Sept. 17. The post TikTok Is Building a New Version of the App for September Release | Report appeared first on TheWrap.

Owners Felt Dog Needed a Brother—His Before-and-After Face Says Everything
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. When a young couple from Seattle, Washington, brought home a second dog, it wasn't because they wanted more chaos into their house, but rather to give their quiet husky a companion to share her happiness with. In a viral TikTok video shared in June under the username @thepupdiaries2, the poster explains: "The real reason we got a second dog... She was so used to our routine... She had so much love to give... She needed someone who spoke pup and not just human language. "Always curled up in her little husky ball. Lower energy levels. She was so happy but something felt missing. It was so calm all the time... a little too calm. It was like she was waiting for a buddy to enjoy her loving home with." While at the beginning of the clip the pup looks reserved and bored, by the time her owners bring her new sibling home, she completely changes. With her new little brother she's suddenly active, playful, and it seems she can't stop smiling. Screenshots of the viral video show Mera spending time alone before the arrival of her brother. His first adoption fell through and it was truly just meant to be". The poster, Diana Antoci, told Newsweek that the husky, Mera, which they've had for two years, is the sweetest girl, and she's full of "personality, spunk, and love." "She has such a gentle yet exciting bond with everyone she meets, and she's always been our little shadow, following us around wherever we go! She's a very independent girl, but loves her new younger brother and loves cuddling up with us. I appreciate you sharing her sweet face with your community!" she said. While some dogs crave and enjoy the company of other canines, not all of them do, and you should always respect your pup's wishes. Oakland Veterinary says that before bringing a new dog home to your pup, you should ask yourself if your dog actually enjoys being with other dogs, how they behave around other pups, and how their mood appears after a play date. If your dog does indeed need a friend, try to get one with a similar personality, better if the opposite gender, whose size is not more than 50 percent different. The video quickly went viral on social media and it has so far received over 601,300 views and 76,700 likes on the platform. One user, commented: "It's the last picture that sealed the deal. She's happppppyy.... Awwww." Shondradapurpleon added: "This touched me, I have a German shepherd and I think he is feeling the same, but I can't afford to care for another baby." John Daly Toasts 'Bonus Daughter' as Love Life with Anna Cladakis Thrives
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. John Daly has never been just another golfer. From outdriving Tiger Woods while hungover to lighting up crowds with his wild outfits and on-course banter, the 2-time major champion has delivered some of golf's unforgettable moments. But these days, the 59-year-old is a bit tender on the greens. Daly withdrew from the Regions Tradition in May due to injury and finished T63 at the Kaulig Championship last month. While his play on the PGA Tour Champions is rocky, his love life is certainly not. Daly, who has been in a relationship with Anna Cladakis since 2007, took a heartfelt step forward in their long-standing romance this weekend. (Photo by Richard Martin-Roberts/Getty Images) More Getty Images On Saturday, he posted a birthday message for Anna's daughter, Charitsa Cladakis, typing, "Happiest Bday to my bonus daughter.... LIL GRIT!" He followed it up with a proud nod to her future, "You're going to be one amazing Dr! I love you! Happy 21st!" And no doubt the message had what one can say John Daly vibes. "Time to toast a @goodboyvodka @charistaa." (Good Boy Vodka is Daly's own vodka brand, which he co-founded in 2021) Charitsa is Anna's daughter from her previous relationship with Chris T. Sullivan, the founder of Outback Steakhouse. And her 21st birthday just showcased Daly's deepening bond with Anna's family. Especially the two words "bonus daughter!" That's a notable shift for a man whose personal life has often been turbulent. Daly has been married four times. First to Dale Crafton (1987–1990), then he was with Bettye Fulford (1992–1995), followed by Paulette Dean (1995–1999), and Sherrie Miller (2001–2007). His relationships were often marred by public disputes, legal battles, and personal struggles. His fourth marriage ended after a highly publicized altercation, and Daly was later granted custody of their son, John Daly II. But with Anna, things have been different. In a 2016 interview, Daly credited her with bringing calm to his chaotic world. "Anna has been one of the most supportive human beings in my world," he said. The couple hasn't tied the knot, yet their nearly two-decade relationship has endured more than most marriages. Maybe that is how it was meant to be.
