Malaysian Man Goes Viral For Being Credited In Marvel's 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps'

Hype Malaysia7 hours ago
What could be better than seeing Malaysia mentioned or featured in a Marvel film? Having local talent involved in the production, of course! Whether on screen as an extra or behind the scenes, it's a point of pride to know that Malaysians are contributing to major Hollywood blockbusters.
One such Malaysian has now been credited not for just one Marvel project, but several. In a post shared on Threads, 3D generalist Ahmad Hamidullah revealed that he was one of the many visual effects artists involved in the studio's upcoming film, 'The Fantastic Four: First Step'.
'Alhamdulillah. Another year, another Marvel movie. This time, I was credited in The Fantastic Four 🥳,' he wrote, sharing a screenshot of the end credits featuring his name alongside his team. Obviously, since the film was a huge success, Ahmad's post quickly went viral, with many expressing curiosity as to how he landed the job, what specific aspect of the film he worked on and how much he was paid for the project.
The local artist explained that he works at the Kuala Lumpur branch of Base FX, a company specialising in visual effects, animation, high-end creature and character work, fluid simulations, and other dynamic effects. The company has contributed to several blockbuster hits, including 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' and the Oscar-nominated 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'.
When asked about his role in 'The Fantastic Four', Ahmad shared that he was responsible for texturing and primarily handled 3D assets for the film, specifically for characters and elements such as Moleman, Subterranea, a retro bus, and various underground scenes. For those curious about his salary, that's quite a sensitive topic, so you're going to have to ask him personally about the payment for these projects.
As Ahmad mentioned that he had worked on several Marvel projects, many were curious to know which ones they were. While he did not specify in his original post, his IMDb profile reveals that he was part of the visual effects team for the 'Deadpool & Wolverine' film as well as the 'Ironheart' series. It's so amazing to have our local talent shine in international blockbuster hits. We hope that more Malaysians will receive the same opportunity to work on these projects or even star in them!

Are Florence Pugh and Finn Cole secretly engaged?

They are the kind of couple that hides in plain sight. Walking hand-in-hand behind festival crowds, exchanging warm Instagram comments and exiting red carpets through the back door. Florence Pugh, the Oscar-nominated darling of Hollywood and Finn Cole, the British actor best known for his role in Peaky Blinders, may have quietly fallen in love. And if recent reports are true, they may be taking the next big step together. August has just begun, and the rumour mill is spinning again over their alleged romance. According to one insider, Cole and Pugh have been in a bubble, getting to know each other away from the spotlight. Florence Pugh and Finn Cole are rumoured to be engaged. Photo: X As for a ring? None has been spotted and neither party has commented. But they continue to support each other's work publicly and it seems, love quietly. Back in September 2024, they were seen hand-in-hand at The Perfect Couple premiere after-party at The Hoxton hotel in East London. Even celebrity gossip accounts reported sightings of the couple all over London during that time. But perhaps the most telling moment came when Pugh confirmed to British Vogue in the same month: 'Yes. We are figuring out what we actually are. And I think for the first time, I am not allowing myself to go on a roller coaster. I am allowing myself to take time to let something evolve and let it be completely real to its core, as opposed to racing into that,' she said. While she did not name names, the timing was hard to ignore. She went on to describe falling in love as 'the most amazing feeling,' but warned that 'unfortunately if that is the only thing that you know in a relationship, then that is the thing that you chase. That is not gonna last.' Florence Pugh and Finn Cole are rumoured to be engaged. Photo: X In June 2024, the pair were spotted together at Glastonbury Festival, and by July, Pugh had commented excitedly on Cole's casting announcement, joking, 'Granny Pat wants to come. #obvi.' Though neither Pugh nor Cole has confirmed their relationship, the evidence has been building quietly over the past year. What began as a long-standing friendship appears to have turned into something far more serious. Their connection goes back to at least 2017. Over the years, Pugh has consistently liked Cole's Instagram posts, with her interactions becoming more frequent and affectionate in recent months. While Pugh's rise has been swift — from indie darling in Lady Macbeth to Marvel star in Black Widow and Thunderbolts — Cole's career has also been a steady climb. Born in Kingston, London, on Nov 9, 1995, Cole got his start with a background role in Offender (2012), which starred his older brother Joe Cole. Joe would go on to play John Shelby in the acclaimed BBC series Peaky Blinders, a gritty crime drama where Finn would eventually find his breakout role as Michael Gray, John's cousin and the ambitious son of Polly Gray. While his brother exited the series in 2017, Finn remained until its conclusion in 2022. His portrayal of Michael, who began as the family's legal brain before spiraling into a more ruthless figure, gave him a lasting mark in British television. From there, he expanded into international roles, starring in the American crime series Animal Kingdom (2016–2022), Dreamland (2019) and even appearing in F9 (2021) of the Fast and Furious franchise. Cole has largely kept his personal life private, giving few interviews and seldom appearing on the tabloid radar. As both actors continue to take on high-profile projects — with Cole recently appearing at the Thunderbolts premiere in support of Pugh — the intrigue around their relationship continues to grow. And while fans may keep watching for rings or red carpet appearances, perhaps what is most admirable is that the two seem content building their story far away from the spotlight, one quiet moment at a time.

By NURSYAHMINA ZAINAL 05 Aug 2025 04:17pm Ah Yauddin's hardship went viral after a video of him was shared on Instagram, showing how he tirelessly cared for his wife, who is wheelchair-bound due to stroke. - Photo: Instragram / @capricedaddycap SHAH ALAM – When Malaysian rapper Caprice discovered the heartbreaking situation of Ah Yauddin Iriqz, an elderly man who sells drinks at the night market, he did not hesitate to act. Ah Yauddin's hardship went viral after a video of him was shared on Instagram, showing how he tirelessly cared for his wife, who is wheelchair-bound due to stroke. Despite her condition, the man who is suffering from kidney disease continued selling drinks at Pasar Malam Pantai Dalam in Kuala Lumpur to support them both. What moved many even more was the fact that he had been carrying his wife up and down four flights of stairs every day in a walk-up flat with no lift. Caprice, known for using his platform to spotlight social issues, was among those who responded. He tracked down the couple and helped them relocate to a landed home, lifting the physical burden that had weighed on Ah Yauddin for years. Through his initiative, the first year of rent for the new home was fully paid off, giving the couple much-needed stability and peace of mind. But his compassion didn't stop there. Recognising the power of community, Caprice launched a crowdfunding campaign to allow the public to contribute, quickly turning one man's hardship into a shared mission of care and dignity. The response from the public was swift and heartwarming. Instagram users flooded the comments section with words of encouragement and praise. Instagram user @bellazazali wrote: 'MasyaaAllah tabarakallah. Just two days ago, I said in my heart that I hoped someone would help this uncle find a landed home. Subhanallah, the power of Allah — this uncle truly and sincerely loves his wife. Thank you so much, Caprice, for helping and using your platform so that all of us can come together to support him. This is the best content so far. Salute to you.' Another user, @ commented: 'From this uncle's story, we learn three things. First, that true love can last until paradise, InsyaAllah. Second, the importance of patience when facing trials. Third, the value of showing kindness to others. Thank you, Caprice.' User @hafizhamids also praised Caprice saying 'Allahuakbar. You made my day, Caprice. May all your efforts and kindness return to you and your family in the best of ways.' Donations began pouring in, alongside offers of help, messages of hope and expressions of unity. Caprice's gesture gave the elderly couple a fresh start in life. More than that, it sparked a wave of generosity, reminding Malaysians of the strength of compassion and the profound impact of helping others with a sincere heart.
