So why IS disgraced James Argent still in Mark & Michelle's inner circle? Pals reveal truth after secret hol & ultimatum
And indeed, pics from their recent holiday showed friends and family, but Arg conpsicuously absent - as behind the scenes the couple have been grappling with the fallout from the devastating attack.

As Arg continues to try and make amends for shoving his former partner, Nicoline Artursson, down a flight of stairs in Spain in May, Mark and Michelle have been quietly rallying round him, with insiders telling us they see this as 'a really sad situation' but it was 'never in question' they'd support him.
The proof comes in a new image of Arg, 37, seen in the background of a TikTok video that Mark's sister, Natalya, shared from a friends and family holiday to a luxury resort in Andalusia, Spain.
It was the first time he'd been pictured in the company of the Wrights - including Mark and Michelle with their four-month-old daughter Palma - since the attack, leading to speculation that they had taken him under their wing as he dealt with the fallout of the assault.
But it appeared clear from the holiday snaps and videos taken by the Wrights that Arg's presence, although welcome, wasn't one Michelle and Mark wanted to be conspicuous following his plunge from grace.
And Michelle is said to be cautious, insisting that she doesn't want any bad influences around her daughter.
'Stern words'
A source told us: 'Arg is basically Mark's family, it was never in question he'd support him, though of course he was completely unimpressed by everything that went down between Arg and Nicoline.
'Mark put his head in his hands when it all came out, mainly because he knows he's stuck between a rock and a hard place.
"Arg is his best friend, and there is a lot of loyalty there, but Mark has a respected career and now a daughter - he absolutely doesn't condone violence towards women.
"There's been some stern words behind closed doors - tough love, you could say - but ultimately Mark and Michelle will be there for Arg as he continues to try to make amends for the hurt he's caused.'
Indeed Michelle, who met Arg through Mark, is said to be 'devastated' by Arg's actions.
The source continued: 'It's all so close to home and she has grown to love Arg like family, so she was devastated and incredibly disappointed, especially now she has Palma.
'She absolutely will not have her daughter around anyone or anything she feels is unsuitable or unsavoury. But she knows the real Arg and will stand by him.'
However, this isn't the first time Arg has put his pals in a tricky predicament. Both Mark, 38, and Arg have spoken openly about the strain Arg's demons have put on their friendship.
Just over ten years ago, Mark warned Arg that he would be banned from his and Michelle's 2015 wedding if he didn't clean up his act. At the time, TOWIE star Arg was suspended from the show over his self-confessed 'wild partying'.
He also admitted to mistreating his then-girlfriend, Lydia Bright.
It was then that Mark stepped in, prompting Arg to seek help and enter rehab in Christmas 2014.
Arg later recalled: 'Mark told me I wasn't invited to his wedding if I didn't change. But when I went into rehab, he got in touch because he was so proud of me.'
However, rehab wasn't the permanent fix Arg's loved ones had hoped for, and in 2020, Mark revealed he'd threatened to cut him off again, after Arg's cocaine use spiralled out of control.

Speaking on Loose Women, Mark explained how desperate the situation had become.
Mark said: 'I text him and said, 'you're not affecting my life anymore, I'm done'. Obviously I didn't mean that. I said that to scare him.'
It worked. Arg messaged Mark later to tell him he'd reached 'rock bottom'.
'On Boxing Day he texted me and said: 'I'm ready. I've hit rock bottom. I need to go to rehab'. I got on the phone to a rehab centre I researched in Thailand and then I booked it for him the next day and he got on a plane and he went.'
'Rock bottom'
Arg went on to get sober and lose 13 stone in weight thanks to a gastric sleeve.
Mark expressed his admiration for his friend, telling the press he was 'so, so proud of Arg.'
And he and Michelle, 38, love to affectionately rib him when they can.
Last year, Michelle hilariously revealed that Arg was banned from using the toilet in their lavish Essex mansion after he 'destroyed it'.
With so much water under the bridge - and with Arg copping to his bad behaviour, accepting a six-month suspended sentence for the assault on Nicoline - our source doesn't believe that Mark will take the same stance as before and threaten to cut him off.
And Mark and Michelle clearly have the backing of their family, including Mark's mum Carol and sister Jess.
There's been lots of talking and apologising - Arg knows if anything like this ever happened again, the family won't be so forgiving.
Source
Allowing him to join the holiday group for a day at the prestigious La Reserva Club Sotogrande in Spain in early June was a clear sign of the rehabilitation underway.
Lying on a lounger by the pool, Arg looked trim and relaxed on what he would regard as a much-need break with friends.
Markedly however, there were no posed pictures, despite Michelle, Mark and sister Natalya posting a series of sweet snaps from the day.
The source said: 'Arg has made it clear he's devastated and apologises for letting everyone down and as a result the Wrights have rallied around him.
'There's been lots of talking and apologising - Arg knows if anything like this ever happened again, the family won't be so forgiving. But while they really do see this as an isolated incident and a really sad situation, he'll definitely have to tread carefully if he wants to stay in favour going forward.'

Last month, Arg was pictured at the wedding of former TOWIE co-stars Georgia Kousolou and Tommy Mallett and prior to that he celebrated pal Megan McKenna's nuptials too.
'The Essex crowd are a tight-knit group of friends and they will all look out for each other,' the source continued. 'People outside of his circles are disgusted with Arg but those that know him are definitely stepping up to show their support, it's not just Mark and Michelle.'
One person who is far from impressed, however, is Nicoline.
After Arg was sentenced, the Swedish model, 32, released a bombshell 800-word statement, blasting his behaviour.
Nicoline wrote: 'I have cried so many tears thinking about the way he chose to hurt me. He said he loved me and I believed him and here we are. There is now a legal record of what happened. Violence has no excuse - no matter how much love preceded it.'

Here's at the concert with his friends Charlie Thomas, 30, and Ross Jones, 29. "My cousin introduced me to them and ever since I've been a massive fan. I've never seen them as Oasis but I've seen Noel live and seen Liam live and now this. I can't wait," Charlie said. "They just remind me I want to Live Forever. It's cool how it works out, them coming to Cardiff," Ross added. And the gates are open... Man accused of airport assault was aggressive and headbutted traveller
The man accused of assaulting police at Manchester Airport was 'aggressive' and got 'in the face' of another traveller before head-butting him, a witness told a court. The incident at a Starbucks coffee house at Terminal Two of Manchester Airport led to police being called, Liverpool Crown Court heard. When police arrived they traced brothers Mohammed Fahir Amaaz, 20, and Muhammad Amaad, 26, who was leaving the airport after picking up their mother from a flight from Qatar. As the brothers went to pay for parking, police arrived to arrest them but they resisted using a 'high level of violence' and assaulted three officers, it is alleged. Both incidents were caught on CCTV, shown to the jury. The brothers, from Rochdale, deny the alleged offences on July 23 last year and claim self-defence. Traveller Abdulkareem Ismaeil and the defendant's mother had been on the same flight and 'something happened' the jury was told, that upset the defendant's mother. Mr Ismaeil, with his wife, two young daughters and young son, had stopped at the Starbucks while leaving the terminal when the defendant's mother passed by and pointed him out to her sons. Cameron Cartledge was the manager at the Starbucks and was in the office doing paperwork and preparing the shift handover before going home when he heard 'raised voices' and went to the door, he told the court. As his colleague prepared the order for Mr Ismaeil at the counter, he saw another man, wearing a blue track-suit, identified as Amaaz, 'quite close to him, shouting at him'. Mr Cartledge said the shouting was in a foreign language he did not understand. The witness said: 'At the time of the arguing he was very close to him, like in his face. ' Blue track-suit man seemed quite aggressive, obviously annoyed about something, I don't know what. Blue track-suit man was aggressively shouting. 'Because his body language, his tone of voice was quite aggressive.' Prosecutor Paul Greaney KC, asked the witness: 'What about Mr Ismaeil, the man with his back against the counter?' Mr Cartledge said: 'He had a raised voice, but I would say he was more defensive than aggressive. 'There was arguing, I don't know what was being said, then blue track-suit man head butted the man we see in the black. 'He got him in the face. It did not look like it hurt Mr Ismaeil much but it was forceful enough to make him stagger back into the counter.' Mr Carledge said before the two men were split up, Amaaz threw two punches but he thought they landed on Mr Ismaeil's shoulder. Mr Carledge said, working at the airport, he saw people 'arguing all the time' but, after witnessing the headbutt, called police. Mr Greaney said: 'Why did you call police?' 'Well, he had just assaulted him,' the witness replied. Police traced the brothers leaving the airport where violence erupted again, the court heard. Amaaz denies one count of assault to Mr Ismaeil and three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm to Pc Zachary Marsden, Pc Ellie Cook and Pc Lydia Ward. His brother Amaad, denies one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm to Pc Marsden. Imran Khan KC, defending Amaaz, suggested to Mr Cartledge that the conversation he had heard was in fact in English. Mr Cartledge replied: 'It didn't sound like it was in English.' Asked if he sensed any aggression from Mr Ismaeil, Mr Cartledge said: 'No, he was more defensive. He just stood there probably more worried about his children behind him.' Starbucks barista Justine Pakalne also told the court she did not believe the conversation between the two men was in English. Mr Khan put it to the witness that Mr Ismaeil was the 'aggressor' and that he had stepped forwards towards Amaaz. Ms Pakalne said: 'Even if he stepped forward he didn't lay a hand on him. It was the other way round – he (Amaaz) headbutted him.' The trial continues on Monday.

Coupling star Sarah Alexander's former lover Gerald Harper dies aged 96 as tributes pour in for Hadleigh actor
Coupling star Sarah Alexander's former lover Gerald Harper had died aged 96. The actor was well-known to 60s and 70s TV audiences as the suave star of Hadleigh, and before that Adam Adamant Lives!, an Edwardian gent who finds himself propelled into London in the swinging sixties. CDM Talent Agency confirmed the sad news in a statement on social media on Friday. They wrote: 'It is with great sadness that Gerald Harper has recently passed away - he was a valued client before he went to Spain to enjoy his retirement.' Sarah, 54, was only 25 when she was first spotted dating Gerald Harper, then 68, in 1996. A passer-by told the Sunday People of Alexander and Harper: 'They were super-glued together! They were all over each other and didn't care who saw them. 'Funnily enough, the young lady was making a lot of the running and kept grabbing him to French kiss him – it was quite a display.' When Sarah, whose big TV break would come in Coupling with Jack Davenport in 2000, moved in with Harper in his large Notting Hill house, friends' eyebrows were raised, especially as she is eight years younger than her new boyfriend's daughter, confusingly also named Sarah. But they refused to allow the generation gap to get in their way. Friends said Harper was 'absolutely bereft' when Sarah left him for Amandaland star Peter Serafinowicz in 2002. Before his relationship with Sarah, Gerald was married to Carla Rabaiotti, a former Pan American air stewardess. The pair, who later divorced in 1983, share a son. Harper was previously married to actress Jane Downs from 1957 until they divorced in 1975. They share a daughter. At the height of his fame Harper was TV's most eligible bachelor in ITV's Hadleigh, which ran from 1969 to 1976. He was perfectly cast as urbane English toff James Hadleigh, a wealthy, handsome playboy who lived in a mansion in the West Riding and ran the local newspaper. He told the Express in 2006: 'There wasn't that much to watch back then, so we had huge audiences. 'The top brass at Yorkshire Television didn't think Hadleigh would work, though, and placed us very late at night. 'When they realised they were wrong, they apologised. I tore up my contract and said: 'Shall we start again?' 'Not only did I get more money, I was given the loan of a country estate for a year complete with staff. I lived like a lord. It was very glamorous. 'I was a TV star on my own terms and for the best part of 20 years I virtually didn't have a day off.' Following his TV career, he returned to his main love, the theatre. His classical work includes playing on Broadway with the Old Vic company, playing Iago at the Bristol Old Vic and Benedick at the Chichester Festival Theatre. Age never held Harper back, and when he was approaching his 75th birthday, he flew to the Masai Mara in a light aircraft and rode horseback across Kenya's Masai Mara game park. On the return leg, the plan crashed through a hedge and ended up on its side. He recalled: 'I turned to the pilot and said: 'Do not bother with the next venue, my good man. Just get me the hell out of here to Nairobi and civilisation!' Enough was enough.' A former pupil at Haileybury public school, he originally planned to become a doctor, but caught the acting bug while doing his National Service and won a place at RADA.
