Connor Darwent, 27, led police on a terrifying five-mile pursuit after speeding away from officers and making his way across a historic country estate.

The drug dealer had been stopped while driving on the A46 towards Lincoln in his powerful BMW 1 Series by cops as he was wanted on suspicion of supplying class A drugs.
Police body camera footage shows the dramatic moment Darwent sped away from the police block, prompting other cops to chase after him.
Despite having his tyres shredded by a police stinger, Darwent reached blistering speeds racing his BMW down the main road, in hot pursuit of officers.
After breaking off from the tarmac, the drug dealer took the chase onto the historic grounds of the 17th century manor Doddington Hall.
He can be seen careering down a dirt track, with cops appearing to ask if they could engage in "tactical content" before Darwent returned to the main road.
Reaching the end of the rugged path, Darwent swings a hard right turn - taking him and officers into a large field of crops.
Here, however, the advantage turned to the police, as the chasing officers managed to ram and immobilise the drug dealer's car, bringing them to a screeching halt.
Then, the two officers can be seen quickly jumping out of their vehicles to arrest Darwent and the other male in his vehicle.
They can be seen smashing in the windows of the drug dealer's car, forcing them to show their hands as backup arrives.
The two officers then drag Darwent and the other man out onto the ground to be arrested.

Following the incredible police chase on May 24, 2022, Darwent admitted conspiracy to supply class A drugs and dangerous driving.
He was jailed for two-and-a-half years on Thursday, June 5.
Darwent was a courier who made regular journeys between Coventry and Skegness to reload the lucrative "Abs line".
Police say the drug line was worth up to £252,000 to the gang, who supplied around 5.8kg of cocaine to dealers and users.
Three other members of the group were also sentenced after admitting conspiracy to supply class A drugs.
Kirsty Reilly, 32, drove drugs from Coventry to Skegness and was jailed for three years.
Sarah Makey, 47, received a 21-month sentence, suspended for 18 months, and was ordered to do 80 hours of unpaid work.
Her husband Nathan, 48, dealt drugs and sent out marketing messages on his phone on behalf of the holder of the Abs line - Alistair Renwick.
Renwick was jailed for nine years in April while Makey will be sentenced in August.
Liam Tomkins, 25, was jailed for three-and-a-half years in his absence after failing to appear at court.

The arrests are part of a satisfying conclusion to a major operation launched by Lincolnshire Police.
In an attempt to crackdown on organised crime, the police unit launched an operation to tackle eight separate drug lines that had brought crack cocaine and heroine into the county's coastal towns.
More than 70 people have been arrested since the operation was launched in September 2022 - with a cumulative prison sentence of more than 120 years.
Detective Inspector Will Tharby, of the Serious and Organised Crime Unit, said: "Drug dealing reaches far beyond those directly involved in the exchange of money for drugs.
"Its ripple effects fuel antisocial behaviour, robbery, burglary, and violence-not just among those entrenched in the drug trade, but across entire communities.
"Families, neighbours, and local businesses all feel the weight of drug-related crime, facing its disruptive and often devastating consequences.
"We've dismantled a thoroughly harmful operation, taken drugs off the streets, and sent a clear message - criminal networks will not thrive in Lincolnshire's communities."

The brothers were travelling through Zamora, Spain on the A-52 towards Santander, where they were to catch a ferry to the UK. A chorus of officials and local drivers have spoken out to warn about the perils of that particular high-speed dual carriageway. Complaints have been lodged about the poor safety conditions of the road to various organisations. In recent years, reports were filed to motorists' organisation AEA Club drawing attention to the treacherous potholes which "riddled" the roadsurface. One family published a photo of a tyre that had been completely shredded by one of the hazards. A burst tyre is thought to be behind Jota's crash - though it isn't known what caused it. Photos from the scene show a single black tyre mark streaking into the verge. A separate 2018 complaint said a lack of signage almost caused a driver to crash because it failed to alert them an imminent lane ending. The driver wrote: "A-52 is a state-of-the-art motorway and doesn't deserve this safety flaw. Do a few cans of paint cost that much?" Lyons has now been jailed for three years after he pleaded guilty to wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon. Newport Crown Court was told the Shane was rushed to hospital following the horror in March with a 5cm wound through his left ear. The glass had cut through all layers of skin tissue and the underlying structures of the ear - exposing cartilage and effectively splitting the ear in two. In a victim impact statement, Shane told how he has been "crying a lot" and now feels like he is "deformed". He also told the court he has "very bad anxiety" and has nightmares about being attacked every night. Shane added: "I'm always looking over my shoulder when I am out, and go out with friends all the time, I don't want to be by myself. If it wasn't for one friend in particular I wouldn't be going out at all anywhere. "Day to day I struggle to cope, I am anxious and paranoid and suffer with depression badly anyway but this incident made it worse. "My left ear is permanently deformed and strangers have been making comments about it and someone said I looked like something out of Star Wars which has made my confidence way down. "I have problems with my ear, it was leaking liquid and I kept having to go to hospital to get it redressed and it got infected. "Since the incident I've had trouble hearing out of my injured ear which makes it hard to be in conversation." Sentencing, Judge Eugene Egan said Lyons used the glass as a "weapon" to slice away part of Shane's ear. He continued: "You well and truly launched yourself at the victim in this case and brought the glass crashing down on the left side of his ear. However, over a year later, Rocky has been returned to his owner. When the young girl was taken to hospital, Boot begged her and her mother not to tell the police about the attack in fears that her dog would be put down, Nottingham Crown Court was told. The 33-year-old from Sneinton then proceeded to give false details about the incident in a bid to protect the dog, while the victim was being treated at the Queens Medical Centre (QMC). Despite the child receiving multiple injuries, including a deep gash under her eye, Boot continued to give a false name and false details. A dog behaviour expert has since analysed Rocky and produced a report concluding it would be safe for him to return home. Handing her a 16-month jail term, suspended for 18 months, Judge Mark Watson said: "This was a frightening and scary incident, it must have been made worse by your response to it. "Rather than show concern for the girl, you were more concerned about Rocky and the impact on you and your family. "It was selfish behaviour and behaviour you should be ashamed of." However, the judge concluded that due to it being a quick bite rather than the dog taking hold of and mauling the child, Rocky did not pose a danger to the public. Mum's face left 'pouring with blood' after being attacked by 'pitbull-type dog' she went to stroke on night out The case prosecutor, Devni Kitulagoda, said the girl was unsupervised with the dog when it suddenly jumped up and bit her just under her eye. Boot was alerted to what was happening after hearing the child scream. Kitulagoda continued to explain that Boot's partner then began shouting that Rocky was going to be put down and begged the mother and child not to say anything. But Boot later pleaded guilty to being in possession of a dog that was dangerously out of control and injured a person. Lucia Harrington, mitigating, said her client has children aged nine and 11 who both have ADHD and autism. Harrington said explained that if Boot was to go into immediate custody, her children would have to be put into care. As part of the suspended sentence order, the judge ordered the defendant to attend 15 rehabilitation session and also contribute £1000 towards the £12000 kennelling costs which had been incurred. He also ordered a contingency destruction order. This means Rocky will be destroyed if the owner is unable to keep it under control. The conditions are as follows: Pet gates to be fitted at the entrance of her home and her living room entrance. If anyone under thee age of 16 visits her home, Rocky needs to be locked in a separate room. The owner must attend sessions with a dog behaviour analyst. Three young girls were also attacked by a 7st XL Bully in Norfolk earlier this year. The horrifying incident saw Victoria Hewitt's pet, Karma, attack her two children and friend, aged 4, 8 and 11. The attack saw the dog drag one of the children across the floor, biting her down to the bone. A judge later sentenced Hewitt to an eight-month prison sentence suspended for 18 months. These incidents come after a ban on XL Bullies was ruled by the High Court in December 2024.
