Harish's diktat to govt: Immediately start Kannepally pump house
Addressing a press conference here at Telangana Bhavan, Harish Rao said that the government should switch on the Kannepalli pump house motors and water should be supplied to the farmers. 'We will not leave this government. We will show the strength of the people's power. If a leader who knows the value of water becomes the Chief Minister, he will use every opportunity to divert that water. Telangana is facing problems because leaders who do not know the value of water are rulers,' said Harish Rao. On an average, each motor lifts 2,100 cusecs of water. Regardless of the Medigadda barrage, even if all the gates are opened, there is a possibility of taking two tmcft of water per day, he added.
The BRS leader said that even if the entire gates of the Medigadda Barrage are open, the Kannepalli pump house motors should be turned on and water should be supplied. The Revanth Reddy government is the only government which used the least water in Krishna after the formation of Telangana state. Revanth Reddy gave away 65 tmcft to AP CM Chandrababu Naidu. The BRS leader said that if the Kalwakurthy project motors were not started in Mahabubnagar district, thousands of farmers would go to the project site and turn on the motors. He said that the states of Karnataka and Maharashtra are receiving good rains. Unfortunately, Telangana was experiencing a drought. Rainfall has been below average. Farmers in the state are in deep distress. Farmers are not able to sow seeds. The seeds they have sown are not able to germinate.
The government's attitude of not caring when water is flowing in front of its eyes comes under criminal negligence, he alleged. In places where there is no river, reservoirs with a capacity of about 141 tmcft were built and made ready like Ranganayaka Sagar, Mallanna Sagar, Kondapochamma Sagar, Baswapur. There are pump houses. There are sub-stations. There are reservoirs. What is the problem faced by the Revanth Reddy government in lifting water? If these reservoirs are filled with water, there will be a possibility of growing two crops in lakhs of acres, he said.

"The opposition is fearful and conspiring against us because our welfare programmes are transforming the lives of the poor for the better. Regardless of their conspiracies, this govt will continue to work tirelessly for the people. The aspirations of the poor can only be realised through the Congress govt," he said. He added that had the previous BRS govt fulfilled its promise to build 2-BHK homes for the poor during its 10-year tenure, there would have been no need for the current administration to invest thousands of crores in the Indiramma Housing Scheme. The present govt, he asserted, will boost revenues and channel them into welfare initiatives, enabling the poor to live with dignity. He further stated that 93 lakh families across the state are currently receiving fine rice free of cost through fair price shops. "We are providing gas cylinders at 500 each and supplying free electricity up to 200 units for the poor. The govt is also distributing Cheyutha monthly pensions to the elderly, persons with disabilities, and single women," he added.

Opposition faces uncertain future: Bhatti
Madira: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka stated that the opposition party is worried about its future and has reached a point of helplessness, as the State government continues to roll out numerous welfare schemes and development initiatives. The Deputy Chief Minister participated in the Indiramma housing land distribution event and later addressed a public meeting in Madira Assembly constituency on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, he said the opposition is anxious and conspiring because the Congress party's schemes are fundamentally changing lives. But no matter how many conspiracies they hatch, the people's government will stand tall and work tirelessly for the public,' he said. Bhatti Vikramarka pointed out that there are 1.10 crore families in Telangana, and the Indiramma government is providing at least one welfare benefit to nearly 93 lakh families. Fertilizer shortage: KTR demands action against culprits
Hyderabad: BRS party working president and former minister Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) has expressed his deep anger that the Revanth government has been neglecting to solve the problems of farmers of the State. He lamented that there was no farmer assurance benefit in the Congress government and added that there was also no farmer loan waiver benefit. He expressed his concern that even if the farmers take out loans and do agriculture, they were facing the shortage of fertilizers for their crops. To this extent, KTR responded to the problems of the farmers through his social media platform X. KTR questioned as to why the State government was in a situation, where even though the farmers have given Aadhaar cards as requested by the Revanth government, the State government was not in a position to give the farmers a bag of fertilizers? KTR demanded that the Revanth government immediately conduct an investigation against those who are responsible for the shortage of the fertilizers.
